Meet Samson! Age: 5 months old Gender: male Breed: Pitbull/cattle dog mix Rescue: Imagine Peace For Pups Sweet little Samson had a hard start to his life! Abandoned in an orchard in California when he was just a little newborn, trusting humans was hard for him. Can we blame him?  But this baby has really blossomed in foster care in the last three weeks! From a shy boy, to following around and smothering his humans with kisses!  His temperament is also pretty chill for a pup and can keep himself entertained for hours with a few toys!  He also loves hanging with his dog friends, and his kitty friends too! But still learning to take no from cats;). Samson is just a chill fun dude, and when he loves he loves with all his heart! Samson is crate trained, potty trained, current on vaccines and microchipped.   If interested please fill out app today!   https://form.jotform.com/60136667457159 ##1845886##

Story
Saffron recently came to the shelter after being found as a stray dog. She was found under a deck with her litter of puppies. Her puppies have since grown up and moved onto new forever homes. Saffy is a pretty sweet little girl. She is very shy in the beginning and likes to take the sit back and watch approach to life. She is very treat motivated and enjoys spending time just watching what is going on around her. We don’t think she is going to do well around cats, or livestock. She will do ok with a male dog that isn’t invasive and won’t try to over power her. We will not be willing to place her with a female dog. She has no problems sticking up for herself. If you are interested in meeting her please don’t hesitate to email adoption@columbiahumane.org to obtain an application. Once we have an approved application on file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet her. Her adoption fee is $300.00 that includes all her vaccinations, being spayed, current on flea treatment. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgNovember 27, 2023, 3:56 pm

Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we are over capacity and short staffed, we try to get back to everyone quickly, it may be 4-5 days. Meet Mason, he came to us in 2022 as a stray. He was adopted shortly after arriving as he is such a good boy. Mason was having a tough time adjusting to a toddler and after a almost a year of trying to make it work, his adopters posted him to be re-homed, through the re-homing site they found his old owner, who also said he doesn't want to be around children and is scared of some men. Mason is a well trained dog, he needs a home with children over age 14yrs, he is cautious of men, specially men who are loud, he does very well with our two guys here. He needs a home with someone who understands heeler behavior, he loves to play fetch for short periods, specially now that he has lost the some weight, he would love a quiet home, loves calm female dogs, he has no issues with woman. He just needs someone who understands him, he is a very sweet boy. My adoption fee is $125: Included Neuter, Microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1lbs bag of food. 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. How many humans and ages live in your home? Male/female for adults? 3. How many animals, types and male/female for dogs? 4. Do you have the patience to allow Mason to get comfortable with you? 5. He needs an owner who can take him on walks and play chase, is this something you can do?

Story
Hello everybody, my name is Julep! I am a happy go lucky girl who loves everybody. I also enjoy playing wrestle with other dogs so much; I am a little nervous around cats so I leave them alone. I have a heeler body and ears with the lovable forehead of a pitbull. I am about 1 year-old, with lots of mental energy. I enjoy bothering my elder foster brother, so I get to practice lots of impulse control and respecting animal communication. I do wonderfully in the crate. I am also potty trained - I did stay on leash for a week at my new foster home, so I could learn the ways of the house and so I know what areas are for potty, for play, or for relaxing. I enjoy soft chew toys that we play tug with. I also enjoy hard chew toys like Benebone for my crate time. I walk pretty well on leash, but sometimes I get a little excited when all the smells hit! So being a 50lb girl, I am learning pressure-release with the slip lead and prong collar. I have high food drive so teaching this new language has been really easy!

Story
*Currently fostered in Arlington, WA and ready for meet and greets!* Well hi there! My name is Elsie Waller and I’m a 5 month old Aussie/pittie mix weighing around 25 lbs of pure cuteness! I’m truly a social “butterfly … watch my video here: https://youtube.com/shorts/4Jxr9G-ktdg?si=mMiZkQrdZycY4goA My breed is a guess … it always is with rescue! I love to be where my people are and enjoy snuggles and cuddling. I would enjoy a home with kids as I am very gentle. I love other dogs big and small and do well in playgroups. I love to say hi to other dogs and would enjoy dog parks! I would also do well in a home as the only dog! My foster mom reports I am learning to use the doggy door and am making progress on potty training. I can be a little vocal if I’m hungry or want my foster moms attention so this would be important information for apartment or condo dwelling applicants. I love to go for car rides and would enjoy going on errand runs or road trips! Oh, and I also occasionally counter surf so keep them clear! I go crazy over enrichment toys! I will need to be fed separate from other dogs because I will resource guard my food. I would also love a home with a fenced in yard where I can run and play anytime! I will need a patient person/family that can continue working with me on crate and house training as well as my leash skills and basic commands. It would be ideal if my new person/family works home or has a hybrid work schedule so I’m not left at home all day. I’m still a baby after all! Does Elsie sound like the girl for you? Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/64f64d7962aecdd537041bbd Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge for transport.
