He is potty trained, crate trained, and knows a variety of commands, although he can be a bit stubborn at times! He would thrive with someone who can offer consistency and plenty of stimulation. Tater is confident and enthusiastic when meeting new friends. His rough and tumble play style makes him a great match for someone who enjoys an active routine. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Mylo – a 4-year-old, neutered, 44-pound Cattle Dog mix with a tongue that just can’t be tamed and a heart that’s even bigger. Currently in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS, Mylo is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved and ready to fall in love. Let’s start with the obvious: Mylo has a perma-blep. That’s right—his tongue is just a little too long for his mouth, and it’s almost always peeking out like he’s mid-lick or permanently saying, “hi.” A vet has checked it out and confirmed there’s nothing wrong—he was just born with extra tongue and endless flavor to sample. It doesn’t cause him pain, but it does mean he occasionally needs a little extra hydration. He also has a slight protruding bone at the base of his rib cage—again, no cause for concern, just more proof that this boy was truly “born this way.” We like to say he’s one part goofball, one part model, and 100% original. Mylo is an affectionate, silly, and curious guy who loves to play and explore. He has a bit of that classic Cattle Dog energy—he thrives with daily activity, enjoys long walks, and loves a good romp in the yard. He plays well with dogs of all sizes and currently lives in a multi-dog home with pups ranging from tiny Chihuahuas to an 80-pound Boxer mix. He does well reading other dogs’ social cues and adjusts his play accordingly. He’s also very vocal when he plays or gets excited—growling, grunting, and making silly noises are just part of his charm. Once you get to know him, you’ll realize it’s just his voice, not a sign of anything aggressive. He enjoys meeting new dogs on walks, though he might sound a little intense at first—again, that vocal streak—but he’s friendly and well-mannered. He’s shown some interest in chasing cats, so to be safe, a feline-free home is best. Mylo has met children of various ages through his foster family and has done well overall. Due to his occasional jumping and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older kids (10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to interact with an active dog. He’s loving and playful, and with continued positive training, will only improve his manners. This boy LOVES walks and has a zest for getting out and about. He can pull on leash when excited, so a no-pull harness or Gentle Leader may help make walks more enjoyable. He’s fully house trained and has been trusted to stay loose when unsupervised, usually sticking to his gated area and dog bed like a gentleman. While he hasn’t been crated in his foster home, he’s done very well with the freedom and would likely thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, or with a flexible schedule. Mylo is currently fed separately from the other dogs—not because he’s aggressive, but because he prefers not to share his snacks or special treats. (Honestly, who among us does?) With his people, though, he’s playful, cuddly, and incredibly affectionate. He greets his foster dad with enthusiastic hops and playful vocalizations, looking like the happiest dog in the world—with his tongue hanging out and his tail wagging in full swing. He’s also very smart and responsive to redirection. He listens when called, loves being praised, and wants so badly to be a good boy. Like many herding breeds, he thrives on routine and benefits from clear communication and a bit of structure. He may occasionally flinch at quick movements or new objects (like a broom), so a patient home that understands his background and lets him settle in at his own pace will help him feel his best. Currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS, Brody is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved. Brody is that rare, wonderful balance of being active enough to enjoy outdoor adventures and mellow enough to fully embrace a lazy day of Netflix and cuddles. Whether he’s chasing a toy in the backyard or melting into your side with his signature tongue-out smile, Brody is the definition of a lovable goofball. He doesn’t mind getting dressed up for holidays or themed events—he’s happy to strut in his rodeo best or festive costume, just as long as he’s doing it with his people. Brody has done best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and tends to prefer a more relaxed playmate. Because of his size and love for running, he may be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs, but he’s also fully content being your one-and-only pup, as long as he has space to stretch his legs and get some zoomies out in the yard. A home with a secure backyard is ideal for him to enjoy some off-leash play. He’s a gentle sweetheart with people—always happy to meet new faces and has done well with the children he’s met. Because of his playful energy, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8–10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody would love nothing more than a buddy to play with, run around the yard, and then wind down with for snuggles. No cats for Brody, please, as he’s not quite sure how to share space with feline friends. When it comes to leash manners, Brody is a total gentleman. He walks calmly on a loose leash, stays close by, and enjoys a good stroll. He’s also fully housebroken and crate trained, and does wonderfully in his crate when left unsupervised, especially since he currently shares a home with other dogs. He loves his plush toys—especially giving their faces a little “customization” with his enthusiastic chomps! Brody is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He thrives in a home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement. His foster mom has put in great work helping him polish his obedience skills, and he’s made huge progress! While he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he’s continued to show how well he can adapt. He would be a great match for someone with experience with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. These dogs are deeply loyal, affectionate, and thrive when they have a purpose—whether that’s going on a hike, learning a new trick, or just being your loyal shadow. Brody doesn’t need a super active lifestyle, but he would love a couple of daily walks, light adventure time, and maybe a fun activity like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes to keep his mind sharp and his bond with you strong. Located in Greenbank, WA! Nile is pure puppy joy from head to tail. He is a bright, outgoing little guy with an endless amount of energy and a big, happy heart. At around eight months old, Nile is already full of personality and excitement, always ready to explore, play, and discover something new. Meet Bumble Bee Honey Blossom! 💛🐾 Bumble is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely ADORES her people. She bonds quickly, loves attention, and will happily hop up for cuddles, affection, and a little reassurance when she’s feeling unsure. Once she decides you’re her person, she wants to be right by your side. Bumble is still building confidence around other dogs, but she has already made wonderful progress. She does best with slow, thoughtful introductions and calm dogs who respect her space. At first, she may choose to keep her distance, but given a little time, her curiosity starts to shine. She has gone from avoiding unfamiliar dogs to walking around with them, sniffing them, playing with toys nearby, and even settling comfortably in the same room. When she feels overwhelmed, she is learning to walk away rather than react. Right now, Bumble would do best in a home with a confident, gentle dog who has a calm play style and won’t overwhelm her. She may also be able to live with a calm, dog-savvy cat with proper introductions. Bumble is a young cattle dog mix, so she will thrive with an active family who can give her walks, enrichment, playtime, and continued training. Her energy is currently moderate, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see more playful puppy energy come out as she becomes comfortable in her new home! She is still learning some household manners too. Tempting garbage and non-toy items can catch her attention, but she redirects nicely when given an appropriate toy instead. She is also very food motivated, which makes training much easier, although she’ll need some guidance learning that every food bowl isn’t automatically hers! Kennel time is still a work in progress, and she may need treats and patience while she learns that her kennel is a safe place to relax. She can also be vocal when separated, so continued confidence-building will be important. Bumble would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a cuddly, loyal companion who just needs a little patience while she learns the ropes. Give this sweet girl time, consistency, and love, and you’ll get to watch her confidence blossom right in front of you. 💕

Jasper is a confident, affectionate, energetic guy who loves being part of the action! Once he decides you're his person, he has no problem letting you know it. He's athletic, playful, social with other dogs, and surprisingly gentle with the littlest member of his foster family. Jasper is an altered, approximately 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix weighing around 46 lbs. He's an athletic, all-black guy with plenty of personality and energy. At home, Jasper is an active dog with plenty of personality. He's a good car rider, easily goes into his kennel, and enjoys being around his people. He has moderate-to-high energy and will do best with a home that gives him opportunities to run, explore, sniff, play, and use his brain. He's not really a "sleep on the couch all day and we'll see what happens" kind of dog—but after he's had the chance to burn off some energy, he's happy to hang out with his people. Jasper and kids are a particularly great combination. Jasper currently lives with a 4-year-old girl, and his foster has been able to see firsthand how thoughtfully he interacts with her. Jasper can be mouthy and jumpy when he's excited with adults, but he does not behave that way with her. He is gentle, respectful, and completely accepting of her affection. She can love on him, and he happily lets her. Considering how energetic and athletic Jasper is, the way he naturally adjusts himself around a young child is genuinely impressive. He doesn't overwhelm her, jump on her, or nibble at her. Of course, as with any dog and young child, supervision and respectful interactions are still important, but Jasper has shown that he can be an exceptionally good kid companion. With other dogs, Jasper is confident and socially savvy. He has met dogs of different sizes and personalities, including some very confident dogs, and handled himself well. He enjoys canine company, shared toys appropriately, and understands when another dog says, "That's enough." During his assessment, another dog gave him a correction after he got a little too excited, and Jasper immediately backed off without making a fuss. He recovered quickly and went right back to exploring. He would likely enjoy having a playful dog around, particularly one closer to his own age and energy level. His foster has noted that he can occasionally be a little much for an older dog, so a playful, socially appropriate companion would be the better match. When it comes to cats, Jasper would do best with a dog-savvy cat with a mellow personality. During his assessment, he was able to share space with a cat without showing aggression. The cat was nervous and chose to move away, and Jasper eventually lost interest and left him alone. After some time, they both were comfortable in each other's space. Because the interaction was fairly limited, we think Jasper would need a thoughtful, in-home cat introduction to determine whether he is truly comfortable living with one. A confident, dog-savvy cat who won't run from him may be a better match than a timid cat. Jasper's leash manners are still a work in progress. When he sees another dog he'd like to meet, he can bark and pull toward them, and if he doesn't agree with a leash correction, he'll sometimes dig in his heels. He's a social guy who thinks meeting everyone should be on the agenda! Continued loose-leash work, impulse control, exercise, and positive reinforcement will help him learn that not every dog needs to be his new best friend. Mealtimes are something his future family should approach thoughtfully. His foster reports that Jasper may growl if someone approaches him while he's eating. Interestingly, during his behavior assessment, we were able to pet him while he ate and move his food bowl without any guarding behavior. Because his behavior is different in the foster environment, adopters should still respect his space around meals and plan to feed him separately and allow him to eat without interruption. One thing Jasper takes very seriously is his person. He forms strong attachments and can struggle when separated from the person he's bonded with. During his assessment, when his handler stepped outside, Jasper immediately ran to the door, barking and trying to find her. He eventually settled when distracted by the other dogs, but adopters should be prepared to work gradually on his independence and alone-time skills. His loyalty is a wonderful quality—it just means he'll need help learning that his person leaving the room isn't the end of the world. Jasper can be somewhat reserved when meeting unfamiliar people, especially when it comes to hands-on handling. He did best with slower introductions and was initially stiff and avoidant during some touch testing, particularly around his hindquarters, legs, and tail. He isn't looking for a confrontation when uncomfortable; he'd much rather avoid the situation. Once he feels secure, his affectionate side comes out much more naturally. Medical handling is an area where Jasper needs some extra consideration. He is comfortable with affection and everyday handling from people he trusts, but he can become uncomfortable with more invasive or unfamiliar handling. His future family should be prepared to work with their veterinarian on low-stress handling and continue building his comfort and trust around these situations. Jasper would love an active home with people who want their dog involved in everyday life, preferably with a yard and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. A playful canine companion could be a great bonus, and a family with children could be an excellent fit. His people should be willing to continue working on leash skills and separation independence while giving him the structure and outlets that an athletic cattle dog mix needs. Jasper isn't a perfectly polished dog—and that's okay. He's a big, energetic, affectionate personality who is still learning how to channel all that enthusiasm. What makes him special is that underneath the jumping, excitement, and occasional mouthiness is a dog who knows how to be remarkably gentle when it matters. He can read other dogs, respect their boundaries, and, perhaps most impressively, he knows how to be careful with a four-year-old. If you're looking for an active, affectionate companion with plenty of personality, excellent dog skills, and a surprisingly tender side, Jasper might be your guy! He's ready for someone who will appreciate the whole package and help him keep growing into the wonderful dog he's already becoming!
