What my friends at OHS say about me: I am very cute but have proven myself to be quite the exuberant pup!I am easily overstimulated, which means I can get mouthy and worked up. I will need positive outlets for my energy and a calm environment. Taking a training class will help us bond and help me become a model canine citizen. To prepare for your meet and greet, please take a moment to learn more about puppy ownership here! **All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dog's questionnaire*** Hi, I am Spike, I am almost 2yrs old, neutered male, cattle dog mix. I have been searching for my new owner for over 6mths, but I keep getting passed over, so the amazing team who saved me, who helped me become confident again, would like you to know about what they think about me. They say I am extra smart, I am the sweetest boy, I am eager to learn and please, I love activities, I would make the best hiking partner and even a bicycle partner, I love the riding lawnmower, it doesn't scare me, so maybe I could be your lawn mowing partner. I love female dogs and male dogs who are calm, I love car rides. I am not for apartment living or cats and it may take me a minute to warm up, so I am hoping someone has a big heart and will be able to visit me a few times. All I want is a real home and a real family, who will love me as much as this team does!! Maybe that is you?? My adoption fee is $200

Story
Hi there! I’m Vinny 🐾 — a 10-month-old pup with a heart full of gratitude and a whole lot of zoomies to share! Just a short while ago, I was in a high-risk euthanasia shelter in Clayton County, Georgia. My life almost ended before it truly began… but thanks to a kind human and a team of rescuers who worked together, I was saved the day before I was set to be euthanized. Because of them, I got my second chance — and now I’m ready to find my forever home. ❤️ I’m a medium-sized boy, weighing about 30 lbs, with my official birthday listed as 11-22-24. I’ve been to the vet, I’m up to date on all my shots, and I’m already neutered — so that’s one less thing for you to worry about! Life in a home is still new to me, so I’ll need someone patient and kind to help me learn the ropes. My foster family says I’m playful, sweet, smart, and curious about everything. I love running around, discovering new things, and yes — I spend a lot of time chasing flies. 🪰 I’m not very good at catching them (yet!), but it’s my favorite hobby. I get along great with kids (my foster’s little ones are 1 and 3), and I’ve been doing wonderfully with their three big dogs, too! I have plenty of energy and would probably thrive in a home with room to run — maybe a farm, or a family that loves outdoor adventures. I haven’t met any cats yet, but my foster is checking on that soon so we can be sure. For now, all I know is that I love company, playtime, and being part of a pack. I came all the way from Georgia to Washington, and I’m so ready to start my next chapter — one filled with love, patience, and belly rubs. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, fly-chasing sidekick who’ll make you laugh every day, I think we could be the perfect match. 💕 #AdoptVinny #BAMMRescue #AdoptDontShop #RescueDogsRock #PuppyLove #SecondChances #GeorgiaToWashington #FosterLove
