HI - I'M TARZAN, and I'm a sweet and shy 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, where I became urgent because I was so scared and shy. While there, I had kennel mates, and I've done well with other dogs. I'm still shy, but am a work in progress. I'm starting to come out of my shell, and I can be petted now. I need a quiet home with a patient person or people who can give me a sense of security and the love and affection I so deserve. I'm very young and have my whole life ahead of me. I was rescued from the streets of Ensenada, Mexico, by a compassionate Canadian couple who then tried to find me a home. Eventually I was placed in a rescue and am doing great! Now, I spend my days running around, playing with my doggy pals, and then taking a much needed nap! I weigh only 40 lbs and am a happy, fun-loving boy. I am an affectionate sweetheart and love nothing more than to snuggle. I'm also fully housebroken! Personality-wise, I'm quite mellow but I do get excited when I'm showered with love and attention. Chloe is a 10-year-old cattle dog with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. She adores her people and will happily follow you around, always wanting to be included in your day—whether that’s working, walking, or snuggling up for a nap. Chloe has a fun-loving side too—she loves her squeaky toys and has even mastered the art of tossing them in the air and catching them all on her own! Chloe is incredibly smart and picks up training quickly, especially when treats are involved. She enjoys puzzle games, hide-and-seek, and using her nose to explore. Chloe gets along with dogs but can get over-excited on leash, so continued training will help her stay calm around them. She’d do well with a mellow dog friend or as the only pet in a cat-free home. She’s crate-trained but may bark a little when left alone. Due to her age, she needs a slip-free space to safely play. Chloe also has some medical needs, including treatment for potential Diabetes Insipidus and Spondylosis (which can be painful) but she’s responding well to medical care.
