Story
Meet sweetie pie MINNIE, a wonderful Texas heeler/hound mix beauty with a perpetual, beguiling smile! Minnie was found wandering rural Alice Texas by community rescuers and when SSDR saw her photo we knew we had to help! Minnie is 1-1.5 yrs old, weighs 43 lbs and won't get much larger. With her beautiful merle heeler/golden and black markings, large, soft eyes, friendly, yet soft and shy demeanor and wiggly STUB tail, she will make a wonderful pet for some lucky person! She loves being near you once you are her new friend and she is potty trained....cheese is a favorite treat/reinforcer! This baby prefers women and is scared of men so needs an owner who will give her space to acclimate to resident guys or visitors. This sweetheart is GREAT with all other animals; Dogs, cats, AND the resident rescue tropical birds at her N Portland foster's home! Story
Australian Cattle Dog Mix 1 year old Male 50 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No Let the Sparks fly! I’m sweet as could be and just as smart to boot. Playful, affectionate, athletic and did I mention sweet? I just adore people and getting attention, but I am a fella who like to keep my loved ones safe so slow intros to strangers are necessary…I thrive on making my person happy, and boy do I learn fast! The only catch is you got to have the time to put into raising a smart, sweet, loving dog like me…It’s well worth it, I promise. I love to play and roughhouse with other dogs and enjoy the attention of sturdy kids 8+, but don't expect me to turn off my herding instincts around kitty cats. I really enjoy a good snuggle, I’m already crate trained, have a great start on housebreaking, and I know how to sit when asked. I thought I'd have ignited a love connection by now, but so far no luck…how about you gimme a chance to be your best friend…will ya?! My adoption fee is $280 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) Mix 12 weeks old Female 13 pounds Kids · Yes Dogs · Yes Cats · Yes You know the best things about Donuts? Everything! They’re sweet and satisfying. Just like me! I’m full of puppy love! Sure to satisfy your hunger for companionship. Donuts are also compact, like a whole breakfast in one easy-to-manage little package—just grab and go! I too am compact, for now. But remember that I am just a baby so I have plenty of growing to do. And let’s be honest—puppies aren’t the easiest to manage: we take lots of guidance, training and a lifelong commitment. But I promise to be all the friendship you could ever want packed into one little companion. Donuts are also great for sharing, so I won’t mind if there are other dogs, or cats, or gentle kids looking for a little love snack. But I think the very best thing about Donuts is the hole! Donut holes are the best. No comparison or analogy, I just think it’s something we can all agree on. However, if you do happen to have a doggy-sized hole in your life, maybe you should fill it with a Donut! My adoption fee is $500 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
Australian Cattle Dog + Husky Mix 1 year old Male 40 pounds Kids · 5+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No They’re creepy and they’re kooky Mysterious and spooky They’re all together ooky The Addams Family… Wait, wait… That’s not right at all! I’m not creepy or spooky! It’s more like this: He’s happy and he’s sappy Zany and brainy He’s all together dreamy Pugsley the puppy! I’m a real treat for any herding-breed lover: intelligent, attentive, and eager to please. I do well with respectful children 5+ and other dogs, but I do get a little spooky when cats are around! I’m not always the bravest boy in the neighborhood just yet, so more training, confidence building, and proper continued socialization will help boost my self-esteem. I know all about crate training, walk well on leash, and am eager to learn everything else you want to teach me. What do you think? Can I join your family? My adoption fee is $280 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.
