Story
Australian Cattle Dog Mix 1 year old Male 50 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No Let the Sparks fly! I’m sweet as could be and just as smart to boot. Playful, affectionate, athletic and did I mention sweet? I just adore people and getting attention, but I am a fella who like to keep my loved ones safe so slow intros to strangers are necessary…I thrive on making my person happy, and boy do I learn fast! The only catch is you got to have the time to put into raising a smart, sweet, loving dog like me…It’s well worth it, I promise. I love to play and roughhouse with other dogs and enjoy the attention of sturdy kids 8+, but don't expect me to turn off my herding instincts around kitty cats. I really enjoy a good snuggle, I’m already crate trained, have a great start on housebreaking, and I know how to sit when asked. I thought I'd have ignited a love connection by now, but so far no luck…how about you gimme a chance to be your best friend…will ya?! My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Hi, I’m Hendrix! I’m 9-months-old, and I've been told I'm quite the gentleman when it comes to my manners. Just whisper the phrase "nap time," and I'll trot off to my crate, happy as a clam. Affection is my middle name. I'll be your shadow, whether you're lounging on the sofa or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen. Cuddles? Absolutely, count me in. Car rides are a breeze with me; just help me hop in, and I'll enjoy the view in quiet contemplation. Can we please stop for a pup cup on the way, though? Fall in love with Hendrix here: https://youtu.be/y2lKOsNPu9E?si=O6FL0wZ6mOgDrU8b New places? Love 'em! I'm always up for exploring and meeting new friends. I’ve never met a stranger, only new friends, I open up quickly and I’m very sweet and trusting with new human friends! Speaking of friends, I do like to play the alpha role in the dog park, engaging in friendly tumbles and games, all in good spirit, of course. We think I’m a Cattle Dog, American Staffy/Pittie mix, but with rescue it’s always a bit of a mystery! I’m currently weighing in at around 50-lbs, but I am still growing. Walks are a delight; I keep pace like a pro, though I might get a tad too enthusiastic if a bicycle goes by—only because I want to join them! Commands? Got a whole repertoire: come, sit, stay, lay down, and of course, "nap time" for kennel time. Potty training? Check that off the list too! My foster mom says I don’t have accidents in the house, and I even know how to alert to go outside to do my business! I love my bubble baths, and I’m a gentle treat-taker, everyone that meets me seems to love me! I'm a quick learner, eager to please, and while treats are great, your approval is what I crave the most. Cats at the rescue didn't faze me, I’m not very interested in hanging out with them but I’m happy to co-exist. I've always enjoyed the company of my canine siblings. I have a good mix of energy and integrate well into any household- I love adventures, I love running and playing and swimming, but I'm also content curling up indoors after a day's adventure. I've had the joy of living with kids and other dogs, blending seamlessly into the family dynamic. I love being walked by my foster mom’s ten year old, and we love snuggling up on the couch! He even plays tug of war with me. My confidence shines through in everything I do, making me ready for whatever life throws my way. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who's as comfortable on an adventure as he is being a couch potato, who values both the thrill of play and the tranquility of a peaceful home, look no further. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life. Let's make some memories together! I’m being fostered in Friendswood, TX and I can travel to the PNW, the East Coast, and Canada. We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. A note about adopting a puppy from the Houston, TX area: Based on statistics, puppies from this area are one of the MOST desperate in the US. Euthanasia rates are incredibly high for both puppies and adult dogs. This precious baby is safe with us now, but there are so many more to save every single day. Our adopters truly save lives. Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65aea421922e0610b30f3ea2 Please email Kelsey@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
