Story
Bridle is a ball of energy so she is searching for a home that understands working dogs. Brindle is happy to run full blast next to your ATV and really needs a good run daily. She will do best in a home that has large acreage or is very active and can take her out frequently. With her energy level, we would suggest a home without children or with older dog-savvy children. The prior family reported that she is house trained. We have noticed that she will shred her dog beds if she is not given something else to do. Brindle walks on a leash and has pretty good recall off leash. She does get distracted by other things that look more fun that what you are doing, so more training will be needed. Brindle is okay with other dogs when introduced properly. She does best with male dogs that are submissive. She does not do well with female dogs. She will likely chase cats as she is a working dog, but she doesn't show a desire to harm any other animals, just wants to chase them. While she can be a handful, Brindle is also a sweet dog that wants attention once she has used up her pent up energy. If you love the working dogs and are looking for a ball of energy, Brindle is your gal. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. If you would like to meet Brindle, contact us today.

Story
We adopted Lucy from Rescue Rovers and have had her now for 3 1/2 years. She is such a lovable dog but does have some behavior issues where she becomes aggressive around other dogs and people that she is not familiar with. She is a Blue Heeler / Shepard Mix so she tends to try to herd people like a flock of sheep by bitting at their pants down by the ankle. She also has aggressive issues with other dogs but has been trained with a company called Tip Top K9. We have an E-Collar that she can use if needed which was used in her training. We are looking for a new home for her preferably a Rural area where she can run around a lot more so that she can get plenty of exercise. My schedule at work has gotten in the way of me being able to give her what she needs and deserves and I hate having to keep her in her kennel while I'm gone. She has been living at my mom's house for the last 3 months but it's only temporary until I can find her a new home.

Story
Meet Boo Dawg!Boo Dawg is a one-year-old cattle dog mix with the sweetest, most endearing look you’ll ever see. He’s usually pretty quiet in his kennel, happily lounging on his bed with his little tongue peeking out — a result of his uniquely shaped mouth that doesn’t quite close all the way. It makes for constant, adorable photo ops and adds to his undeniable charm.Boo Dawg is dog friendly and enjoys canine companionship, but big crowds and lots of people can feel overwhelming for him. He’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace and help build his confidence. With time and gentle guidance, he shows his soft, loyal personality and is sure to blossom in a calm, loving home.He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and ready to find someone who will love him just the way he is — tongue out and all.

Story
Hey there! I'm Smartie-just like the candy, but with way more bounce and a whole lot of extra energy. I'm a very high-energy, playful pup who loves staying active, whether that's racing around with toys or showing off my impressive treadmill skills (yes, I love it!). I respond really well to positive reinforcement and am always eager to learn, especially if praise or treats are involved. I'm also super affectionate and thrive on attention, so expect lots of happy moments together. If you're looking for a sweet, silly, smart pup who can keep up with an active lifestyle and keep your toy basket constantly in rotation, I think we'll be a perfect match.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 47.8 Age: 1yrs 7mths 0wks
