Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi I am Briggs Stratton, nice to meet you! I am a three and a half year old neutered 35lb red heeler mix.   I am such a sweetheart! I am a devoted, loving dog who will be the best companion. It takes me some time to trust my people, but once I do, I give you my heart. I love to cuddle!   I am great in my crate, I am potty trained, have no toy or food aggression, and love other dogs with proper introductions . I would thrive in a home with another dog that I can run and play with every day.   Besides my foster family, my trainer is my favorite person. He has taught me to be less fearful. I am a champ on leash, know the “place” command, and have great recall. I am a very well trained dog,but I would love for my new family to keep up with training. I want to continue being the best dog that I can be. An adult only home or home with older kids would be best for me. I have never met a cat, but because of my breed, I would most likely want a cat free home.   I really am a sweet dog that deserves a forever family. My foster family loves me and wants to find me the perfect home. https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2025, 4:15 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there, I’m Jazzper!  I’m a male, 60 pound, 5 year old Aussie Shepherd mix.   I’m going to be honest with you, I need to lose a few pounds.  Want to get a head start on your New Year’s resolution?  I make a great running partner!  We could get in shape together.   I would require, however, to be your only canine training partner.  Humans are fine!  I just don’t like getting too close to other dogs.  My foster mom says that with dedicated training, I may be able to eventually coexist peacefully with other dogs.    My favorite things are running and walking in the neighborhood and playing with my tug in the backyard.  I love learning new tricks.  My favorite is when I balance a treat on my nose and my foster mom tells me to “get it.”  Then I flip it into the air and catch it in my mouth.  Yum!   Great things about me: Best as an only dog in the home Good with dog-savvy cats Great with humans over the age of 12 House trained and kennel trained   My requirements: Daily physical exercise (runs or walks) Daily mental stimulation (I love to play tug in the backyard) Dedication to kennel time Openness to muzzle training   I would like to continue to work with my professional trainer and am looking for a forever person who is dedicated to helping me be the best dog I can be.  I am a super smart dog who needs breed-specific (herding dog) mental stimulation everyday.  We could learn so many new things together.  I know all of this is a lot to ask.  But I really am the sweetest boy.  And after we exercise, we can snuggle on the couch together and watch some TV or read a book.     I’m looking for a patient handler with a consistent schedule.  Could that person be you?  Apply to adopt me at: https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication and we can set up a time to meet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, potential families! We are the literary litter – all named after influential authors. We are Steinbeck, Twain, Hawthorne, Burroughs, Richardson, Bradbury and Bierce. We are looking for our very own families who will help us write our stories!   Let us set the scene. We were living in a rural shelter. It was a bit cold and hopeless feeling, without much potential for “Happily ever after”. However, the people who worked there were so nice and caring! They said “Let’s try a rescue.” Rescue Rovers said yes (!) and the seven of us boys came to our foster home!   It’s been pretty great since then. We get regular meals, soft warm blankets, other dogs to play with, even a little boy to run around with. We’ve really enjoyed our time here, but it’s time to begin our next chapter.   A little backstory for you – we are listed as cattle dog mixes (looks like some pittie in the mix!) and we are 3 months old. We are fun and playful pups, and we are smart, too! We are 50% or more on our potty training and we come running if our foster mom whistles.   We’re looking for homes full of love, mostly. We’d also love to be active, go to training classes and have other dogs or kids to play with. We’re ready to find you! Are you ready for us? Apply to meet us today at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication , or come meet us at the Riverton IFA adoption event this Saturday!   PS - We don’t want to lean too heavily on foreshadowing, but we’re pretty sure you’re going to love us. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Evan  I’m a 7-month-old cattle dog mix, though my foster mom thinks I got a little Chihuahua in me too. I weigh 27 pounds right now and probably won’t get much bigger than 35 pounds, so I’m the perfect medium-sized sidekick. I love people—give me about 10 seconds and I’ll be your new best friend. I’m a big fan of attention and truly believe it should all be on me  Cuddles are one of my favorite things, and I’m always happy to soak up some love. I do great with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends. If another dog wanders into my space while I have a toy, I might give a little growl to say “hey, that’s mine,” but that’s about it. I’d also be totally happy as the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for myself. Most of all, I just want to be wherever my human is—running errands, going on adventures, or hanging out at home. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate pup who will follow you anywhere, I might just be your guy.  apply at bit.ly//RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 15, 2025, 3:48 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Tabby I’m a 6-month-old cattle dog mix, and I’ll probably grow to be around 35 pounds—the perfect size if you ask me! I might be a little shy at first, but once I know I’m safe, I turn into a total people-lover. When I’m really happy, my whole body wiggles, and I can’t help it!   I love toys, get along great with other dogs, and would be so happy with a playful furry friend. Even though I love my people, I’m more of an independent girly who enjoys having my own space—and I would really thrive with another dog to keep me company and help build my confidence.   I’m also a very good girl—I’m potty trained with a doggy door and I’m amazing in my crate. I settle in quietly and do really well.   I’m sweet, playful, and full of love just waiting to share it with my forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with lots of wiggles and love to give, I might be your girl! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Looking for the handsomest boy in town who’s also super smart? That’s me! I’m Froderick and my foster mom says I’m the most handsome dog she’s seen! I’m also sweet and love pets!  I’m 1 year old, but probably just barely as I still have that puppy energy. I’m listed as a cattle dog mix, but it’s anyone’s guess, and at 17 lbs I’m much smaller than most cattle dogs, but I’m definitely smart and pick up things quickly. My foster mom thinks I hadn’t really been in a home before, but I’ve picked up on things quickly and as long as I’m let out regularly I haven’t had any accidents in the house. I sleep quietly in my crate at night, especially if I have a fluffy bed!  I’ve been around cats and dogs and done fine with everyone. I’m good with people, but a little wary of smaller kids, they are a bit unpredictable! I like cuddling and love to get pets from my people. The world is still a little scary, so I’m working on confidence building. I’m also learning the basics of dog training and would love someone that is committed to more training so I can be the very best I can be!  Are you looking for beauty and brains?
