Story
⚡ Meet Brandon – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Brandon is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix with a sharp mind, boundless energy, and a big heart! This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Brandon is still young and learning, so he’ll do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy. In return, you’ll get an incredibly devoted companion who’s always ready for the next great adventure. If you’re looking for a fun, smart, and active pup to share your life with — Brandon’s your guy! 🐕💙

Story
Ellie started out with us as a young pup. She was adopted out, only to be dumped at the shelter at another state. From what we have gathered from the shelter accompanied with our own experience with her, it’s because she needs a home without other dogs. She is 35 lbs and otherwise friendly with all humans and hopes you accept her terms and conditions because she is sooooo worth it! Ellie was born in 2018 and is located at the rescue. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
Huey is young and therefore has a lot of energy. He loves attention and to be kept busy. Huey is active, smart, and loves kids and other dogs. He sees every new face as a potential playmate. He would do best in a home with another play mate or an active family. At the facility he has staff and volunteers that have spent extra time with him in training, teaching commands and helping him take out all his pent-up energy. Huey is always ready for a walk, run, hike or a training session. Extremely treat motivated and very focused of what`s being asked of him to do. Huey still needs more training, but he is an amazing dog. He loves to please his person and would love to have a job. His perfect home would be one with one or two people that are very active and super involved in his training or a family that has the time to take him on walks and keep his mind and body active. He won`t do well in a house that wants a couch potato dog or calm dog. He needs stimulation to be calm afterwards. He was born in Jan 2020 and is located at the rescue. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Holly    is a beautiful Heeler miniature Dane mix who’s only about 50 pounds and looks larger in pictures than she is when you actually meet her   Holly is super cuddly indoors but loves to run around outdoors and is used to wide open spaces to explore.   Hollie was a country girl who was able to come indoors whenever she wanted but be outdoors for fun and frolicking; he was the perfect life for Holly, but unfortunately her owners were forced to move away and couldn’t bring her with .   Holly is six years old. She is completely housebroken.  She’s not destructive inside the house at all, loves to sleep on the sofa or bed and to be close to her humans when they’re at home.    Holly is friendly and gentle. She hasn’t lived with small children but she’s also never shown any sign of aggression.  We believe that because of her size she’d probably do best with older children or in a home with moderately active young to middle-aged adults.   One area of need Holly has is to work on leash training; since she grew up in a rural area Holly hasn’t had much need for leash walking, but in a new home that’s one area of training that will need fine-tuning.   When Holly came into foster care, even though it was completely different from everything she ever knew, she settled in the minute she walked in the door! She found a comfy place on the couch to call her own and curled right up and acted as though she lived there her entire life!   The only adjustment Hollie has had a hard time with is a fenced backyard. Our foster homes do have nice fenced backyards, but nothing like the spaces that people have when they don’t live in a city or a suburb. We hope to find Holly a home that has some acreage, but also where she is definitely part of a family and allowed to come inside to live her best indoor- outdoor life.   Holly never bothered livestock but we don’t know how she would do with indoor cats. She’s definitely good with other dogs, both male and female of all sizes. Since she’s been in a foster home she’s lived with up to two or three different dogs at a time and done very well with all of them.   We also would like a home where someone is around    most of the time; Holly‘s owners were there a lot of the time that she was growing up she’s not used to a life where people are gone from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon.    Holly is welcoming of all people very friendly, loves getting petted and knows several commands.   Holly‘s perfect life could also be living with somebody retired or retired couple whose home most of the time and just wants a companion dog to cuddle with their feet to throw a ball for and to keep them company. If Hollie sounds like the ideal companion for you, please complete the application on our website below. Then    TEXT KEVIN: 469-623-3999   So he can check your application and get back to you   Thank you   www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Story
Meet Max 🐾 Max is a handsome 5-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd/Kelpie mix looking for the right person to call his own. He’s had a loving home for the past year, but unfortunately finds himself in need of a new beginning. Max has put in the work — he’s spent weeks training with certified trainers and it shows. He walks beautifully on a leash and truly enjoys getting out for daily walks. One of his absolute favorite things? Water! Max loves to swim and would thrive with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He can be a little timid at first, especially around men and young children, but with patience and consistency, he warms up and becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. Because of this, Max would do best in a home without young children. Add his first home from the age of the puppy to four years old, he was the ESA dog for a teenager. Max is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his person — offering not just companionship, but a sense of comfort and protection. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will be by your side for walks, adventures, and quiet evenings alike, Max may be your perfect match. Story
Hi, I’m Hachi! I’m a 1-year-old Heeler mix weighing about 24 pounds, and I’m a sweet, gentle guy with a submissive personality. I can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, but once I warm up, I’m affectionate, well behaved, and love attention. I get along well with dogs and kids, and I’m house and potty trained too. I’m still working on my leash manners, but I’m eager to learn and just want someone patient to help me build confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion with a big heart, I might be your guy.

Story
Hi, I’m Kiva. I’m a 1-year-old Heeler mix weighing about 31 pounds, and I’m the perfect blend of smart, affectionate, and playful. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and while I’m still figuring out cats, I’m confident and gentle in new situations. I know my basic commands like sit and lay down, walk nicely beside you on a leash, and I’m very treat motivated, which makes training fun and easy. I love toys, enjoy attention, and I’m happiest when I can cuddle up with my people. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-behaved companion who’s both playful and loving, I might just be your girl.

Story
Hi, I’m Dalton, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 61 pounds, and I’m just as sweet as my name. I’m a gentle, affectionate guy who loves being around people and soaking up attention. I’m confident, curious, and well behaved, and I already know how to sit. I get along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine buddy to hang out with. I came to the rescue with an old injury to my back leg that will require an amputation, but don’t worry—dogs adjust amazingly well and it won’t slow me down from being a loyal, loving companion. My sweet temperament has won everyone over, and I’m ready to find a family who will give me the happy life I deserve.
