Story
This sweet girl is a big bundle of love and energy. We adopted her from the garland animal shelter not knowing anything about her breed, as we were told she was a GSD mix. She LOVES kids and gets along with most dogs. She needs a backyard to run around in(we live in an apartment), as she just wants to be outside all the time. We love her, but she deserves something better than what we can give her.

Story
Mika is a great companion and is very sweet and playful. She is also not a barker unless she has a reason to bark so she is generally a really quiet girl. At age 7 she still has lots of energy and LOVES to go for walks and play tug of war. She understands basic commands (sit and come) and she will also go to her crate with the command "bravo. She is an indoor only dog and she has not been around other dogs in her current home so she would do great as an only dog and might do well with other dogs, but we aren't sure. If you are looking for a calm dog that will integrate into your life easily, Mike is your girl. She isn't very demanding and is simply looking for a family to love.

Story
Dahlia is a loving, loyal, and very goofy girl. She is always down to play with her favorite toys, a racquet ball or tennis ball, squeaky stuffed animals or a cardboard box, she just loves to play with you. She also loves to run so a yard is a must. At night after a long walk, she loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep until it’s time for bed. Dahlia was adopted July 2022 and was a little over a year old, so i think her birthday is about June 2021. She is anxious around other dogs so would need to be the only one in the house, but I think with time and training, it’s fixable. She was attacked so she is skeptical of unfamiliar dogs. She has never been around a cat so i’m not sure how she would react around them. As for children, smaller children make her nervous since they’re so close to her face and she can get a little over excited and jumpy so it’s best to have older kids in a house. Dahlia now knows sit, down, stay(sometimes), still learning “come” but she loves learning. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Dahlia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.June 5, 2023, 10:35 pm

Story
Cocoa is a 10 year old Australian Kelpie. She came into our family when she was 2 years old from a local city shelter. She is a loving dog who loves to kiss and snuggle and is also a good guard dog. She loves to swim and can definitely be described as faithful-to-owner. I selected behavioral issues as to why she needs a new home though that can be misleading. I live in a house that is divided in two and her barking is problematic given the space in which she lives

Story
This cutie was dumped on a busy road in a crate. He must have been kept in the crate for long periods of time before he was dumped as it became his safety zone. He was petrified and hungry and thirsty. We have no idea WHY anyone could do that.... but he was so traumatized it took time for him to accept us and trust us and not feel threatened. Now, he is a different dog!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Everyone meet malibu! The best dog a girl could ask for. Unfortunately, I can’t give her the life she so much deserves so I’ve come to the difficult decision to rehome her. She deserves the world so I would love her to go to someone who loves animals and has time for her. She has a protective/aggressive side but, has a vibration collar to help with that, she does amazing with it. She’s good with SMALL dogs but not big ones and needs a home with NO kids. She needs a backyard to run around as she has A LOT of energy which is where I think her aggression comes from. Having a yard to run around in will eliminate this problem. She does shed a lot so she needs to go to someone who doesn’t mind hair! She’s truly the best dog. I love her to death and have had her for 4 years since she was a puppy. But I know she deserves more. She’s kennel trained and will go in her kennel when you say “time for bed” or “time to go bye bye”. She LOVES balls and playing fetch and loves being around you.

Story
Dusty is a driven but loving lap dog. He is very loyal to his person, and gets along well with his two pup siblings that he grew up with. He is shy, has thunderstorm anxiety, and is nervous around new dogs and people, but will warm up if you play fetch with him. He loves to run, play, but also lay in his bed, on the couch, or on your lap if you’ll have him for some butt scratches. He is 6 years old, neutered. I feel like he would thrive as an only-dog companion. We are also rehoming his fur-sister Rosie the red heeler. Can go together or separately.

Story
Rosie is a derpy 5 year old Red Heeler. She is very driven, but not the brightest tool in the shed. She loves to run and play with her fur-siblings, but doesn’t react well to new dogs. She loves her humans, butt scratches, and to chase squirrels. She will lick anyone and everyone, she loves to give kisses. She has never bitten anyone. She is a chunky little house dog right now but I know she would love a little land and to be an only-dog who gets all the attention. We are also rehoming her fur-brother Dusty the blue heeler. Can go together or separately.
