Story
Riley has been a loved member of our family for 9 years. She used to be our adventure buddy, and we loved taking her hiking. Since having our toddler and new baby, Riley has become stressed and reactive around the babies. It has made adventures and even daily walks difficult.Riley is very social and loves people and older kids. She adores attention from family and visitors and is extremely food motivated. She can be vocally reactive around other animals, often barking and scaring them off, but once she warms up, she does very well with dogs and cats.Riley is loving, affectionate, and has a big personality. This is incredibly difficult for us, but she deserves a family where she can be fully involved and get the attention, companionship, and activity she needs.

Story
Blue is an Aussie mix, he is very social and loves to play, Blue needs an active owner and a yard, with a fence, not suited for apartment Blue is very energetic, he likes other dogs but plays rough. He would need to be paired with a patient dog who can put up with his immature behavior, he doesn't always read cues to stop playing. His potty training has progressed significantly but he does still have accidents in the kennel occasionally. His personality is super loving and sweet, but he is mischievous and likes to be the life of the party and is still very much a puppy. Blue push boundaries and see how much he can get away with so he will need a strong leader. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meetSeptember 4, 2026, 12:47 am

Story
Meet Nina, a 6-month-old spayed female Australian Shepherd mix with a beautiful brindle coat and a sweet personality just waiting to shine!Nina can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, she turns into a big love bug. She absolutely loves giving hugs and being close to her favorite people. She’s also quite the foodie, so treats are definitely one of the quickest ways to earn her trust and become her new best friend. She is still gaining confidence on the leash and will need a family willing to continue working with her as she learns. When it’s time to play, rope toys are her favorite, and once those zoomies kick in, she is ready to go! Nina would do best in a house with a fenced-in backyard where she has plenty of room to run, play, and build her confidence. We’re not yet sure how Nina feels about other dogs, so a meet and greet will be required with any potential canine siblings.Nina is looking for a patient, loving family who will give her the time she needs to settle in and show off the affectionate, playful girl hiding behind that initial shyness.

Story
Amber and her sister, Margot, were dumped, and luckily, not like so many other dumped dogs that get killed or starve, they were picked up by someone in rescue. They have been together all their lives, and we would love to see them stay together if possible. So, please check out Margot too if you are interested in this sweet girl.Amber lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. The girls sleep and eat in the same kennel and love to cuddle together. Amber has good house manners and is crate trained. She loves attention, even if she is a bit timid with new people. She is fully vetted, current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.
