Story

Picasso is a super sweet 2.5 year old pure tricolor Australian Shepard who we rescued 1.5 years ago. He is trained in all basic commands and loves to chase/herd balls and play tug-o-war. He is VERY protective of family members, especially my daughters, which has led to the need to re-home him after two biting incidents: a gardener who entered the yard unannounced and got too close to my daughter (animal control ruled dog not at fault) and myself, when I raised my voice to circumvent my youngest from breaking a mirror. He went to aggression training afterwards with South Bay K-9 to learn additional commands and subdue his aggression, but obviously his innate feelings to protect my daughters persist. For example, he vocalizes when we kiss or hug and he tries to block my entrance to their rooms. At this point, it is recommended we muzzle him in the house when all family members are together, but he is fine with me alone. It is heart wrenching, but he would do best with dominant adult(s).

Bowser found himself at the shelter because his family had a human baby, and no longer had the time to care for him. He is a sweet, playful boy who is a little confused on why he ended up here. Bowser is a great walker, and just absolutely loves playing fetch. He is a very smart boy and already knows a few commands like sit, down, and stay. He seems to be some sort of herding mix, maybe Aussie/Shepherd?? Bowser will need a dog savvy home who will give him the exercise and structure that he needs to be successful! We don't think he would be appropriate with young kids. Right now he would need to go home with kids 16 years or older, but would most likely do best in an adult only home. Bowser is a very sweet boy, he loves to cuddle up next to you and get belly rubs. He is dog friendly, and would probably do very well with another playful pup in the home! This handsome amazing family dog, Charlie, is being returned to us at no fault of his own. The family said that Charlie is super bored because everyone is gone all day for work and when they get home from work, they have to take care of their kids. Subsequently, poor Charlie gets left out and ignored. It makes us so sad. Charlie deserves to have an amazing family that wants to spend all of their time with him, take him on walks, play with him, and snuggle with him on the couch. He deserves better!! He is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. He LOVES all people!! He is super gentle and patient with kids. He could do well with having a doggy sibling/friend so he would need to do a proper introduction first. He successfully completed his 6-week board & train program in July 2020. He did great at training! Charlie is housebroken and crate trained but needs an active family that likes to go on walks and play with him. He's a lap dog and loves cuddles with his family. Indigo is a 7 year old Mini Aussie with lots of energy whose favorite hobby is chasing balls. He also enjoys his cuddle time, too. He is loyal and loves to be near at all times. He loves to give kisses and get pets. He’s timid with strangers and it is best if he is introduced by someone he trusts. He will quickly enjoy the attention from a new human friend. He is a great watch dog! Indigo needs to be in a home where he is the only dog and has a yard to run in. He is not friendly or trusting with other dogs, especially as it relates to food. He should also not be in a home with him small children as he does not like surprise pets or grabs. He has sensitive skin and can be very protective if he feels surprised. He really is the sweetest boy and is deserving of the right home for all of his needs and happiness.

If you understand and wait for her, you will be able to see Jinhee’s ever growing love! You need to approach her carefully because she can be surprised or uncomfortable with people who scream, or makes large gestures or actions. *Socialization -Dogs: She feels uncomfortable with dogs who approach her too actively, but she greets well with other calm dogs. She prefers to take a stroll around with her foster rather than running around with other dogs. -Cats: She is not interested in cats she meets during walks. * Separation anxiety: Mild anxiety * Toilet training: Uses a pee pad well! She might confuse the blanket for a pee pad in unfamiliar places. * Bark: She doesn't bark a lot. She sometimes barks a little at the digital door lock's noise. * Bathing: she doesn't like taking a bath, but is patient. * She is generally calm and quiet but she gets active indoors playing with her foster!
