Bowser found himself at the shelter because his family had a human baby, and no longer had the time to care for him. He is a sweet, playful boy who is a little confused on why he ended up here. Bowser is a great walker, and just absolutely loves playing fetch. He is a very smart boy and already knows a few commands like sit, down, and stay. He seems to be some sort of herding mix, maybe Aussie/Shepherd?? Bowser will need a dog savvy home who will give him the exercise and structure that he needs to be successful! We don't think he would be appropriate with young kids. Right now he would need to go home with kids 16 years or older, but would most likely do best in an adult only home. Bowser is a very sweet boy, he loves to cuddle up next to you and get belly rubs. He is dog friendly, and would probably do very well with another playful pup in the home! November 5, 2024, 10:53 am

Xander came to us as an Owner Surrender and had previously been in a pretty chaotic home environment. He was initially very shut down and underweight. We took time to allow him to come out of his shell and find his paws in a new home environment. During his stay with us he has been neutered, microchipped and titer tested for vaccine levels. The Good. Xander is a sweet boy! He bonds closely to his chosen people (women preferred, as he is very, very timid with men and will hide). He loves to play with other dogs in his size range (25-lbs max) and is crate trained. When he need to go outside, he stands by his foster-Mum's patio door to go out to potty. He likes toys, is learning fetch, and loves to chew. He lives for belly rubs! He knows sit and down and responds lovely to his name.Xander is good on car rides. His foster home has children, but they are dog savvy and are used to herding breeds that will nip their heels. The Not So Good. The not so good is no small pets (cats/hamsters/tortoise), as he has an inbuilt prey drive. He needs a routine lifestyle, not a lot of traffic coming in and out of the house or rowdy teenagers. He will alert bark, but redirects. Xander is initially fearful due to some not so good human interactions so he needs time to warm up. Xander is located in Orange County, CA - no out of state adoptions

Ozzie was found abandoned on the street and taken to a high-intake shelter. After about a month without being adopted, a foster stepped in and promoted him, and I brought him home to give him a chance. He is an 1~2 years old Australian Shepherd mix, 77 lbs, very people-friendly, affectionate, cuddly, smart, and highly food-motivated (learns quickly). He is still adjusting and is working on leash reactivity around other dogs (barking/lunging), which has already improved with positive-reinforcement training and should continue to get better with consistency. Cats are not a good fit, he may fixate and want to chase, so a cat-free home is recommended. He can also jump up when greeting due to excitement, so a home without very young kids is preferred until trained. Vaccines are up to date, heartworm negative, deworming/flea-tick done. Neuter appointment is scheduled for Feb 4. Ideal home: patient, loving, has time for training/exercise, preferably no cats and no other dog at first.

Hi, I’m Linus and I’m the cutest freckled boy around! I’m 1.5 years old and the shelter said I’m an Australian kelpie, I’m about 45 pounds so I’m the perfect size to cuddle with! I’m so sweet and I love cuddling. I like making friends with dogs and humans whenever I go out! I’m incredibly smart, I’ve learned to open doors by jumping up on them so I may surprise you with more things I learn in the future; I know that’s a little naughty and I’m still learning some manners such as not jumping up! I love playing with my toys except I don’t always like to share specific chewing toys so I’ll growl at other dogs but I’m learning I can’t resource guard so you’ll have to keep teaching me, like I said I’m incredibly smart so I’ve already started learning. I also have an amazing rock collection I can’t wait to show you. I’m crate trained so I can’t eat anything I’m not supposed to while I’m unsupervised since I really like picking up rocks! I may not be the best fit for a family with young children since I jump a lot and I guess I’m not as small as I think! I love playing with all my dog friends, running laps, wrestling and playing tug-o-war. I really love the cats in my foster home but I’ve had to learn to be gentle and not to chase so now I love kissing them. I will need to continue my training and have structure so I can continue to grow into the perfect dog but I’m so excited to start bonding together and show you my big brains, you’ll fall in love immediately with my cute wiggle butt, sweet face and all of my freckles!
