Akira goes by “Aki” most of the time but will answer to both. He requires lots of play time and he loves to go on walks and hikes. He loves dog toys and will need to have plenty of them. He is a big dog that isn’t aware of how big he is, therefore it’s not a good idea to have him around small animals or children. He knows many tricks like: sit, lay down, handshake, touch and almost knows how to roll over! He’s a very smart boy and is so loving! He loves getting pets and belly scratches and will probably want to sleep on the bed with you. (although he’s not allowed) He really is a very good boy and we love him so much but our current living situation is not ideal for him. We feel like we will be doing him a favor by giving him the opportunity to go live with an owner who can give him lots of attention and space. I am crying as I am typing this because this is my baby and I love him so much but he’d be better off with someone who can give him what he needs.

URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED: This handsome amazing family dog, Charlie, is being returned to us at no fault of his own. The family said that Charlie is super bored because everyone is gone all day for work and when they get home from work, they have to take care of their kids. Subsequently, poor Charlie gets left out and ignored. It makes us so sad. Charlie deserves to have an amazing family that wants to spend all of their time with him, take him on walks, play with him, and snuggle with him on the couch. He deserves better!! He is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. He LOVES all people!! He is super gentle and patient with kids. He could do well with having a doggy sibling/friend so he would need to do a proper introduction first. He successfully completed his 6-week board & train program in July 2020. He did great at training! Charlie is housebroken and crate trained but needs an active family that likes to go on walks and play with him. He's a lap dog and loves cuddles with his family. Iza was a dog we agreed to take in over a year ago in Armenia that had been wasting away at the shelter overloaded with dogs but the CDC had shut down travel, and we finally got approval to bring her over. She’s approx 6 and great with dogs and despite her past, an absolute sweetheart with people. Iza, like many strays in Armenia, was emaciated and neglected. There are a lot of people in the world that don’t find value in a dog’s life as she was deliberately hit by a car and left for dead. The accident didn’t take away her will to live, although it took away her vision. Thankfully good people exist, and we appreciate our good friend, Susanna, who took her in and got her vetted. She is 100% blind and boarding is not an option for her as she will need a home environment to help her better transition to this new life. She’ll need some guidance as she navigates thru a new environment. She is very dog-friendly and lived with 180 dogs.
