So far we know he does well with other dogs that are not alpha and that are playful like him And he should go to a low traffic home. Not a lot of people coming in and out. Unfortunately, we do not know his history to put him with kids or cats. Iza was a dog we agreed to take in over a year ago in Armenia that had been wasting away at the shelter overloaded with dogs but the CDC had shut down travel, and we finally got approval to bring her over. She’s approx 6 years old and great with dogs and despite her past, an absolute sweetheart with people. Iza, like many strays in Armenia, was emaciated and neglected. There are a lot of people in the world that don’t find value in a dog’s life as she was deliberately hit by a car and left for dead. The accident didn’t take away her will to live, although it took away her vision. Thankfully good people exist, and we appreciate our good friend, Susanna, who took her in and got her vetted. She is 100% blind and she'll need a home that will help her learn where all the furniture is located so she can find her favorite spot. She is very dog-friendly and is a very low-maintenance dog as her favorite things to do are sunbathe, going on walks, and receive belly rubs. Shadow is 4.5 years old and in good health. He is temporarily staying with my kids' mother on a trial basis but i highly doubt ahe has the lingbterm ability to guve him what he needs. It works fir now whike shes unemoloywd but ge will need a permanent home soon. He us currently 75lbs but overweight. Vet recently told me he should be about 60lbs. Shadow needs an experienced handler, lots of attention and daily activity. Id orefer you are familiar with the breed. Ive had him since he was a puppy and took great strides to keep him active and social. Ive trained him off leash for years to obey most directional commands and he has been trained on leash as well. And he's potty trained. Shadow is a very loving dog, but I think he is needy, too. Very intelligent and very ready to play and interact.

Bowser found himself at the shelter because his family had a human baby, and no longer had the time to care for him. He is a sweet, playful boy who is a little confused on why he ended up here. Bowser is a great walker, and just absolutely loves playing fetch. He is a very smart boy and already knows a few commands like sit, down, and stay. He seems to be some sort of herding mix, maybe Aussie/Shepherd?? Bowser will need a dog savvy home who will give him the exercise and structure that he needs to be successful! We don't think he would be appropriate with young kids. Right now he would need to go home with kids 16 years or older, but would most likely do best in an adult only home. Bowser is a very sweet boy, he loves to cuddle up next to you and get belly rubs. He is dog friendly, and would probably do very well with another playful pup in the home! November 5, 2024, 10:53 am
