8 years ago we got Chase from someone selling him as a puppy. He is going on 8 this year. He has been a huge part of our family for so long now. He is very loving, he loves to cuddle and act like he’s a little couch dog. He’s very outgoing, he still has so much energy. He loves to play. He loves to be outside. He does need decent walks daily and attention. He is an attention seeking dog, but in a good way. He will keep you active. Recently I lost my mother, which has led to the reason we are being forced to move and cannot take chase with us. This is very heartbreaking for us and hard. I would love to find him a loving, caring home, that he needs. A home that has the time for him, and the heart to care and love for him. (He was recently shaved in January, the groomer said they wouldn’t shave his coat completely and when we went to pick him up they did so. His fur is growing back in, it is taking time but it does look like it’ll be back to his full coat over some time)

Please welcome this sweet girl to SAAP! Like many of the pups that we rescue, Pippy has been through a lot!! Pippy came to SAAP with her eight - one week old babies. Shortly after her arrival, we discovered she had coccidia, Giardia, worms AND parvo. This meant that she had to go for treatment and stay at the vet’s office while we tried to bottle feed the puppies. Sadly, all the pups passed away as they had been exposed to parvo as well. Pippy managed to survive the parvo - only to find out that she was also heartworm positive. So, she began treatment for that too which requires 30 days of crate rest to keep the heart rate down. After everything she has been through, Pippy is now healthy and ready to find her very deserving furever home!! Approximately 50 pounds potty trained Very gentle and submissive LOVES attention Pippy is not dog aggressive but she seems nervous and scared when other dogs get close to her. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! Clyde is a happy, playful boy who believes there's simply way too much fun to be had to sit still for very long! He's always ready for the next wrestling match, a good case of the zoomies, or a toy that needs his immediate attention. Other dogs are definitely Clyde's favorite playmates. He absolutely loves his puppy roommates and is happiest right in the middle of whatever they're doing. Whether they're racing around the yard, wrestling, or investigating something new, you can count on Clyde joining the party. He's also been respectful of the cats in his foster home. Clyde enjoys his people too and gets excited when he sees you—he'll happily engage in a little human-versus-puppy wrestling match! He's just not quite as interested in stopping for pets and cuddles as some of his roommates. Right now, playtime wins over snuggle time, and with so much puppy business on his schedule, who can blame him? As he continues getting more individual attention and bonding with his own family, we think there's still plenty of Clyde's personality waiting to unfold.
