Thankfully, we’re getting our chance at a fresh start, and now I’m ready to find the family I’ve been waiting for. ❤️ As for my breed, we’re thinking Catahoula x Australian Shepherd x Blue Heeler… but we have absolutely no idea who Dad was. He could’ve been any of the above, all of the above, or the neighborhood mailman’s dog for all we know! 😂 One thing’s for sure: with those possible genetics, I may come with a little extra brains, energy, and personality! I’m a social, outgoing, smart little pup who’s ready to take on the world. I love interacting with people, exploring new things, and being part of the action. I’m not the kind of puppy who’s going to be happy just looking cute on the couch all day (although I will absolutely excel at that part, too). I’ll need an active home that understands working and herding breeds and the importance of mental stimulation. Think walks, adventures, training, puzzle toys, games, and activities that give my clever little brain a job. Otherwise, I might decide that reorganizing your furniture, redesigning your landscaping, or teaching myself how to open the pantry sounds like a perfectly reasonable hobby. 😉 Mama weighs around 55 pounds, so I will grow up to be a medium sized dog! The good news? All that intelligence and enthusiasm means I could be an incredible companion for someone who enjoys teaching a dog new things and including their four-legged sidekick in everyday life. So while I’m currently the big brother of the bunch, I’ll likely grow into a medium-sized dog with a whole lot of love to give. With my possible Catahoula, Aussie, and Heeler heritage, I’ll benefit from an active home that provides exercise, training, and mental stimulation. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! Clyde is a happy, playful boy who believes there's simply way too much fun to be had to sit still for very long! He's always ready for the next wrestling match, a good case of the zoomies, or a toy that needs his immediate attention. Other dogs are definitely Clyde's favorite playmates. He absolutely loves his puppy roommates and is happiest right in the middle of whatever they're doing. Whether they're racing around the yard, wrestling, or investigating something new, you can count on Clyde joining the party. He's also been respectful of the cats in his foster home. Clyde enjoys his people too and gets excited when he sees you—he'll happily engage in a little human-versus-puppy wrestling match! He's just not quite as interested in stopping for pets and cuddles as some of his roommates. Right now, playtime wins over snuggle time, and with so much puppy business on his schedule, who can blame him? As he continues getting more individual attention and bonding with his own family, we think there's still plenty of Clyde's personality waiting to unfold. He loves toys, running around outside, and putting those puppy legs to good use. He's currently working on potty training and learning all the other skills that come with growing into a very good boy. Please welcome this sweet girl to SAAP! Like many of the pups that we rescue, Pippy has been through a lot!! Pippy came to SAAP with her eight - one week old babies. Shortly after her arrival, we discovered she had coccidia, Giardia, worms AND parvo. This meant that she had to go for treatment and stay at the vet’s office while we tried to bottle feed the puppies. Sadly, all the pups passed away as they had been exposed to parvo as well. Pippy managed to survive the parvo - only to find out that she was also heartworm positive. So, she began treatment for that too which requires 30 days of crate rest to keep the heart rate down. After everything she has been through, Pippy is now healthy and ready to find her very deserving furever home!! ??Approximately 50 pounds ??potty trained ??Very gentle and submissive ??LOVES attention Pippy is not dog aggressive but she seems nervous and scared when other dogs get close to her.October 7, 2026, 11:00 pm
