This little lady has herding instincts sharper than your GPS — and yes, that includes rounding up humans who dare wander off too far. Ellie is house and crate trained (because smart girls know where to do their business), and she’s a dream in the car — the perfect co-pilot for coffee runs or cross-country road trips. She’s great with other dogs and loves spending time with her people, especially if belly rubs or snacks are involved. Got small kids? Well… let’s just say Ellie takes her job as “assistant hall monitor” a little too seriously. She’ll happily herd the kiddos right back into line — so she’d do best in a home with older kids or adults who appreciate her professional-level organizing skills. 😉 Cats? Unknown — but with her Aussie instincts, she might think they need a little direction too! Story
Bindi will be your best friend with unwavering loyalty. He is a 6 year old male who came to us to foster a few months ago. He belonged to a good friend of ours, who passed away. He has a couple unique behaviors. He "purrs" when someone is petting him. The purring grows louder as the petting goes on. I have never met another dog that does that, and suspect he learned it from the cat he grew up with. Bindi also howls when a fire truck drives by with the horns sounding. He sounds just like an emergency alarm system! When Bindi first came to us, he barked at visitors and everyone that walked by our house. In just a couple short months, he has learned not to bark at everyone, and is calmer when company comes over. He does have an intimidating bark however, if you are looking for a guard dog to keep even the most persistent solicitor away. :) The commands he knows are "sit", "give me paw", "stay", and "come". He is a quick learner and intuitive.

Meet Uncle Fester! This handsome 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mix has quite the story to tell. Originally adopted as a puppy from Louie’s Legacy, Uncle Fester recently found himself abandoned in the woods. Thankfully, a local shelter recognized him and contacted us right away—and we wasted no time bringing him back into rescue where he belongs. Despite all he’s been through, Uncle Fester’s heart is still full of love. He absolutely adores men—he completely melted for the dog warden who helped him—and he does well with women, too. He may be a little shy at first, which is understandable after the whirlwind of his past week, but once he warms up, he’s affectionate and loves all the pets and attention you’ll give him. Uncle Fester walks decently on a leash (though he can pull a bit when he’s excited) and enjoys car rides, where he sits back and watches the world go by. He’s also good with other dogs and was even found with a canine companion. We’re still getting to know this sweet boy, but one thing’s already clear—Uncle Fester is a gentle soul ready for his fresh start and a family who will never let him down again. Uncle Fester is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $275.00.
