Story
Cody is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix! This handsome boy is very happy and outgoing, loves going on adventures and spending time with his foster family. He weighs in around 58 pounds, but is pretty leggy! This boy is all puppy, and loves to play and receive lots of attention from his foster family. He's working very hard on not jumping up when excited, and learning basic manners and training! Cody is super sweet and loves to learn; he's extremely treat motivated and hopes his forever family will continue training with him. He is fostered with four cats who he loves. He does well with them, but may engage in a playful chase from time to time. He'd do best in a home with cats that are dog savvy, and won't be startled by his big puppy energy! He is also fostered with other dogs his size, and previously lived with small dogs. Cody would benefit from a confident and social sibling to help him continue to build his confidence. He loves to play rough, but needs some time to acclimate to his new friends before he's ready to wrestle. He enjoys attending doggy daycare where he can run and play and burn off his energy. While he previously lived with a tiny human, he would do best in a home with older kids - teenagers only please! He's both potty trained and crate trained, and working on walking well on his leash. He loves stuffed toys, especially those with squeakers! Cody enjoys running around and does great burning off his energy in the backyard. His ideal forever family will be patient with him as he works on his training and becomes the best version of himself! Cody is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $275! To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Pep! Pep is a 10-month-old, 11 lbs. mini Aussie. She is timid in new situations but loves to snuggle once she knows she's safe with you. Pep is a rockstar traveler: excellent in the car, even on a 4 hour road trip with her foster family. She loves exploring outdoor spaces and does well on a leash. Once she's had a good walk, she's ready to snuggle up for a nap on a soft blanket. She is quiet in her crate and is doing well with potty training. She likes cats and small dogs but is nervous around large dogs. If you're looking for a sweet and snuggly pup who loves to be outdoors, Pep might be your girl! Pep is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet Skye. Skye is an adorable 3-month-old, 9lb, female Mini Aussie mix from the Paw Patrol litter. Skye, along with her siblings, Everest, Rubble, Zuma, and Sweetie are just precious. While in foster care, they have been great pups. They use puppy pads reliably and are not particularly vocal, unless they feel they are missing out on the fun. Zuma has a beautiful furry coat of black hair with a white chest and accents. She's very fluffy and very cute. Skye is a confident pup and loves to explore and be part of the action. At the same time, she likes nothing more than snuggling up to you and rolling over for a bell rub. Weighing 9 pounds now, she will probably grow to be a medium sized dog. Mini Aussies (also known as American Sheperds), are usually 25 to 40 pounds when fully grown. Although we don't see the full personalities of pups at this age yet, in general, Mini Aussies have all the personality traits of an Australian Shepard just in a pint-size version. They are incredibly bright and good-spirited. They typically have a lot of energy, which needs to be considered before you add one to the family. It is imperative that they are exercised daily. They get along wonderfully with other dogs and with children, though smaller kids may get "herded if the Shepherd's natural instincts kick in. They're also generally fine with cats, since many of them live and work in barns with felines. If you feel you are right person/family for this little girl, please apply today. She's sure to be a wonderful addition to your home. Skye is fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Meet Zuma. Zuma is an adorable 3-month-old, 10lb, male Mini Aussie mix from the Paw Patrol litter. Zuma, along with his siblings, Skye, Rubble, Sweetie, and Everest are just precious. While in foster care, they have been great pups. They use puppy pads reliably and are not particularly vocal, unless they feel they are missing out on the fun. Zuma is the only one of his litter that has the unique distinction of having a beautiful short and shiny black coat of hair. While most people associate Australian Shepherds with long coats, some within this breed can have short hair due to natural variations. Although Zuma's hair is not as long, it is every bit as soft as his siblings and will require much less grooming. Zuma is the most lively and energetic of his litter. He is a confident pup and loves to be the life of the party. He is the friendly and people orientated. If he had his way, he would get ALL of the attention. He is also incredibly sweet and likes to just sit in your lap and be petted. Weighing 10 pounds now, he will probably grow to be a medium sized dog. Mini Aussies (also known as American Shepards), are usually 25 to 40 pounds when fully grown.
