Story
Maxwell is a friendly and affectionate 5-year-old full-breed Aussie looking for the perfect home, ideally with owners who have an ample yard and time to devote to his exercise and mental stimulation! He has the instincts of a great herding dog, and will loyally follow his owner everywhere. He was originally adopted from a farm and could even be trained to work in a similar environment. He is playful, loves belly rubs and chasing his tail. He performs tricks and impressive jump-catches while playing fetch. He can get spooked by loud, unfamiliar noises and likes to stay close to his humans. The reason we're re-homing him is because I'm expected in the office more days of the week now, and Max is left kenneled for longer than is fair. We are also trying to start a family, meaning he would get even less attention and daily exercise. He will make a wonderful companion for owners with the right lifestyle. Thank you so much for considering his adoption!

That’s me, Calypso Jane! My favorite things are to chase after my foster brother, be anywhere near my foster mom, and chew on my favorite toys. My breed is notorious for intelligence and high energy, so my fur-ever family should be active to and willing to keep me engaged through exercise and training. I’ve come a long way in my puppy training! I’m fully housetrained, crate trained for night and when my foster mom is away from home, and I’m very good at sitting, waiting for my food and to be let out of my crate, and even getting good at giving high-fives! I’m still working on jumping and my puppy nipping. I love my foster brother and any other dogs I meet, but I can sometimes be too much for them, so any dog in my fur-ever home should be able to tolerate my puppy antics. I do best with younger, larger dogs as I've not been around too many small or older friends. I haven’t been around cats a ton in my little life, but I like to think of them as a big toy, so it would be best if they have a place to get away from me when I get a little riled up. I love all people I meet and kids are no exception! But since I'm still working on my jumping, any tiny human in my home should be a little older so no one accidentally gets hurt. I've already been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and micro-chipped. Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:    PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:    IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:   If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit. Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.Registered mini Merle, Australian Shepherd, femaleThis sweet little girl came from a breeder. We offered to buy her so that we could get her out of the breeding industry. She is sweet but shy as she has not been treated as a pet. She is seven years old. She has registration paperwork, but of course will no longer be used for breeding. Nova has been spayed and updated with all her vaccinations, and her teeth will be cleaned before she’s ready to be adopted. She will have time to bounce back with a family on a farm having a good time before she goes out to her new home as well. She is currently being fostered in Harrison Arkansas. Adopted pups are brought to you via the rescue network transport.  June 28, 2025, 2:33 pm

Story
Bindi is a 6 year old male who came to us to foster a couple months ago. He belonged to a good friend of ours, who passed away. The previous owner had another dog too, named Max. It would be ideal if Bindi and Max could be adopted together as they are bonded and good companions. Bindi has a couple unique behaviors. He "purrs" when someone is petting him. The purring grows louder as the petting goes on. I have never met another dog that does that, and suspect he learned it from the cat he grew up with. Bindi also howls when a fire truck drives by with the horns sounding. He sounds just like an emergency alarm system! When Bindi first came to us, he barked at every stranger that came to visit and everyone that walked by our house. In just a couple short months, he has learned not to bark at everyone, and is calm when company comes over. The commands he knows are "sit", "give me paw", "stay", and "come". He is a quick learner. We will help with neutering fee.

We weeble, we wobble, we tumble... and we EAT! 🍽️ When we first came to the rescue, everyone thought we were Aussie/Chocolate Lab mixes. But weeks have passed and the only thing that’s grown is… our bellies. 😂 We're still pint-sized mystery pups, and at this point, we might be part potato. We may not know what breed we are, but we do know we’re 100% CUTE. 💯 We're sweet, happy, playful, and full of wiggles (and snacks). Ready to bring joy, laughs, and maybe a little chaos into your life? Apply to adopt today—ADOPT DON’T SHOP, our lives depend on it! 🐾 Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Daisy has been out pet since she was a puppy. My 2 daughters adopted her from pet smart in 2018. I believe she was 1 when we got her or not even. We were having her seen at Noah's ark vet in Florence ky until a few years ago we had gotten evicted from our home and had to be almost 2 years in a hotel. We survived and got another home in which we got a second pet teddy bear. Our lease just expired and the landlord won't renew. Times have changed and now back in a hotel again we have hotel costs by the day with added on pet fees. We can't afford 15-30 extra for the 2 dogs. We are hoping to keep them together. They are both potty trained and excellent pets. We love them dearly and tried to reach out for assistance for fostering them during this rough time trying to get another home but I guess no one offers that. They recommend we try here. So we are putting them both up to be rehomed since we have to worry more for our children right now. She is a great dog just older but GREAT!
