Story
Let me introduce the beautiful BRIDGET! She’s a four year old mini Aussie recently fostered after being a puppy mill momma. She’s a sweet baby eager to give kisses and show off her dance moves. Like most Aussie breeds, Bridget is really smart and loves to learn new tricks. She walks on a leash like shes in the Westminster Dog Show and really enjoys our time walking at the park. She enjoys showing off by dancing and jumping and when all the action is over for the day, she’s the perfect snuggle buddy. Once Bridget got used to the routine of walking and going out in the yard, she has not had any accidents in the house. She does fine in her crate. Bridget's adoption fee is $450. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Princess is a 4½-year-old, 52lb Australian Shepherd with the sweetest soul and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. Formerly a breeder at a puppy mill, Princess is now discovering the joys of freedom, comfort, and affection—and she’s absolutely thriving. With eyes that will melt your heart and a soft spot for belly rubs, Princess is as gentle and kind as they come. She loves trotting around the backyard, exploring new sights and smells, and soaking in all the good things life has to offer. While she can be a little shy and skittish at first, she quickly warms up with a calm, friendly voice—and once she does, she’s eager to snuggle and shower you with love. Princess is working on leash training, loves off-leash play in a secure yard, and gets along wonderfully with our family dog who she loves to play with. She hasn’t met a blanket she doesn’t love, and she’ll gladly curl up beside you for a cozy nap or some one-on-one cuddle time. Her favorite activities include chasing her toys, getting praise, and soaking in all the affection she can get—her love languages are words of affirmation and physical touch. Princess is still getting used to the big world, but she’s brave, curious, and ready to conquer it—with you by her side. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with warmth and affection, Princess might just be your perfect match. Good with dogs Low energy, high snuggles Sweet, soft, and full of love Apply to meet her today and let Princess show you what unconditional love looks like. Princess is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Chonq - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! 🐾 Meet Chonq – Ball Enthusiast. Kiss Distributor. Certified Good Boy. Breed: 50% Australian Shepherd, 50% Pit Bull, 100% Love Age: Turning 9 on June 25th, but don’t tell him—he thinks he’s still 3 Weight: A sturdy 66 lbs of snuggly muscle Chonq is the kind of dog who makes you believe in soulmates with fur. He’s housebroken, loyal, smart, and knows that fetch is not a game—it’s a way of life. He will run like a gazelle (a surprisingly fast, wiggly gazelle) after any ball you throw, and bring it back with a look that says, “Again. Immediately.” Raised with love, adventure, and a strong Kong toy game, Chonq was adopted as a tiny pup by his dad and lived a nomadic life of action adventure on the road.  His dad adored him and gave him a life full of hikes, cuddles, toys, and swimming pool cannonballs. Sadly, Chonq lost his person last year to suicide, and while he’s been staying with family, he’s now searching for a forever home—one where his heart, paws, and tennis balls can all rest easy. Ideal Home: Active human(s) who love walks, adventures, and playing fetch until your arm falls off Bonus points if you have a pool—this boy lives for swimming Someone who doesn’t mind kisses… because he’s generous with them Personality Highlights: Sweet, silly, and full of love Will wait patiently if left home alone and won’t chew, shred, or protest Prances like a deer when he’s hunting for his ball 🦌 Gives kisses like it’s his job (and he’s employee of the month, every month) Chonq's Must-Haves: Heavy-duty toys only (he’s been known to obliterate lesser toys with joyful enthusiasm) Room to run and stretch those legs (this guy moves like he’s chasing Olympic gold) Someone who wants a best friend, not just a dog Good with: ✅ Dogs ✅ Cats ✅ Kids If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a goofy smile, and a heart of gold Chonq is your guy. His bags are packed (with Kong toys and dreams of belly rubs). Are you his forever? If Chonq seems like the perfect fit for you and your lifestyle just stop scrolling and fill out his adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

Story
Meet Jack! Jack is a fun-loving, friendly, playful little guy. He is just over a year old and has a ton of energy. Jack is a great companion, and will thrive in an active home. We go for runs every morning and hikes on the weekends. Jack was a rescue, and due his past he does not get along with other dogs. Jack is very smart, he knows a small handful of tricks and has a strong understanding of recall. The reason I am rehoming Jack is because I live in an apartment and it is incredibly difficult to get him the exercise he needs. He has a ton of energy, and will do best in a home with a yard, where he can run to his heart's content. He is a great snuggler and very affectionate, and comes with all of his favorite toys and bones.

Story
Bindi is a 6 year old male who came to us to foster a couple months ago. He belonged to a good friend of ours, who passed away. The previous owner had another dog too, named Max. It would be ideal if Bindi and Max could be adopted together as they are bonded and good companions. Bindi has a couple unique behaviors. He "purrs" when someone is petting him. The purring grows louder as the petting goes on. I have never met another dog that does that, and suspect he learned it from the cat he grew up with. Bindi also howls when a fire truck drives by with the horns sounding. He sounds just like an emergency alarm system! When Bindi first came to us, he barked at every stranger that came to visit and everyone that walked by our house. In just a couple short months, he has learned not to bark at everyone, and is calm when company comes over. The commands he knows are "sit", "give me paw", "stay", and "come". He is a quick learner. We will help with neutering fee.
