Story

Sadie is looking for a home due to circumstances surrounding a separation. She does great with cats, other dogs her size and has been around chickens and goats with no issues. She is not food aggressive but is very food driven. She does not do well with smaller dogs. She is house trained and is crated when no one is home only due to issues with her getting into the trash. We do not currently have a fenced in yard so she is frequently walked and is great on a leash, however, she does get really excited when other dogs are around so it’s best that she wears a harness instead of a regular collar.

I got Iroh from a Friend who just had their second kid and Iroh was still young and just too much with his energy. He is very energetic dog and needs lots of exercise. I am looking to rehome him due to him having bowel issues I’ve done potty training with him for the first 8 months of having him plus my friends before me but we still have almost monthly accidents and periods of time where for a week straight he forgets his potty training and will go inside no matter how often we take him out, we are in an apartment and it’s just not sustainable somewhere with an open yard may be best for him. He is great with kids, he likes to hop and can be a bit scary for kids at first but never aggressive, just over excited. Also great with other dogs we have a dog park next to us and always does great playing with others I have a cage, food bowl, and toys that can come with him plus whatever remaining food I have left for him at that time. Also have a lease and a harness

STUART is a sweet fluffy little mixed breed puppy looking for a home. His breed mix is a mystery. He appears to be part Australian Shepherd, but is much smaller than an Aussie. He could have some Corgi and/or Jack Russell in the mix and who knows what else. He's around 6 months old and 16 pounds but a bit too skinny. We don't expect him to get much bigger, he'll probably remain under 25 pounds when fully grown. Stuart is a friendly boy, a bit on the timid side, best suited to home where he will have a confident dog to show him the ropes. He loves people of all ages. Stuart loves toys and treats. He's already housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Stuart, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Stuart at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if she's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Kiki and Kitsune, named after the animals we resembled when we were saved. Kiki after a coyote name, I mean... look at my ears :) And Kitsune is a fox name, I looked like a little fox when I was saved!! Us girls are sweet and loving and happy with people we know, but you can't blame us for being nervous with new people- we were found abandoned in a field in the deep valley of TX with our dead mother and siblings in a trash bag with us........................ So yes, we are nervous with new people but honestly- new people are only new for a day or two- then you are OUR peeps!! We do not have to be adopted together, but our story is the same so we will share it together... We came to the rescue absolutely petrified but geez, our foster mama was so nice and fed us wonderful food and we were loving on her quickly. So glad to be safe, fed and loved! Now we are preparing for our families and that must be you! We are both gorgeous girls, Kitsune has grown to almost her sister's size, so both are looking to be large full grown pups. We were just minding our own business...at the POUND....on the euthanasia list :( But, the rescue just couldn't leave us there! We were only about 1 week old and were already marked for death :( WHY?? JUST BECAUSE WE WERE BORN...... well, NO MORE! All of us will be spayed and neutered before adopted, so we are STOPPING THE CYCLE!! EAch of us has our own personality, we are loving and wonderful pups whose life is getting better EVERY DAY!!
