Skyler is a handsome 1 yr old Australian Shepherd. He weighs 56# - with beautiful coloring and soft brown eyes. He’s friendly, and has youthful energy. He wags his tail a lot, and gives sloppy slobbery kisses! He’s also very affectionate – will sit next to you forever if you will scratch his ears. I don’t think he’d ever get tired of it. Enjoys tummy rubs, too. Excellent snuggler. He’s very playful, happy and fun loving. He chases balls and retrieves them. He actually brings it right back to you and will even put it in your hand. Skyler is young, energetic, and has herding-dog instincts; with adults, he will sometimes nip at their hands when playing. This is not an aggressive gesture - it's his instinct to herd coming out in play. He has not done this with children. Very playful and needs a yard to run in – preference will be given to someone with a secure fenced area (He does not try to jump the fence). He really loves to fetch the tennis ball for you.........but if you don’t play with him, he entertains himself with the ball. He would really enjoy being paired with another playful dog. Skyler is highly motivated by treats - constantly sits for treats without even being prompted. He would do well with an active family. Learning to walk on leash – does best in harness -needs reminders not to pull when he sees squirrels and other dogs. Going to dog parks or the lake are exciting times for him, and he has a difficult time listening to you in these situations. Knows the commands to sit and stay, and appears to be a smart dog. Skyler is housetrained. He’s so well behaved that he has not been crated. Is good with other dogs, and reported to be good with cats (but we haven't tested this). Has been with older kids and did well, but no exposure to youngsters – he has a good disposition, and is gentle and loving, so might be OK with respectful kids 6 yr and up. He enjoys being with people as much as possible. Skyler is neutered, and current on distemper, rabies and bordetella vaccinations. His heartworm test is negative, and the microchip is registered to Second Chance. His adoption fee is $375. Call 651-771-5662 if you are interested in Skyler.

Adelaide is very shy and will need some time and compassion to acclimate to a new home. Due to this shyness, she is not house trained. She will typically hide when approached and we are working with her on trust. She is with multiple other dogs at the time and does well with them, but sometimes a pups true character comes out in a calmer environment. We do not know how she does with cats. She is 4 years old and weighs about 30 pounds.

Chase is on the case and he’s looking for some fun new friends to come home to. He is a 5 year old pure bred male Mini Aussie. He has been neutered, he has a rabies vaccination certificate and collar tag from the vet. Has always been seasonally treated for ticks, fleas, and borrellia burgdorferi infections with NexGard. He has had vaccines for Bordetella, Rabies, & Distemper however, I am unsure if they are up to date with boosters. He is a ‘velcro dog’ and a drive by licker. He wants to be your best friend and by your side, always. However, I am going to be completely transparent that he needs a new home because he will not stop marking in our house. We have done training, used belly band diapers, all kinds of deterrents and sprays, anxiety treats, vet visits and he was on anxiety medication for over a year, all of which have not resolved the problem. We have two other dogs, one of which is his brother, and we no longer have a resolution. We've discussed training with our vet but..

Hello! Autumn is an amazing beautiful mini Australian Shepherd. She is currently 6 years of age and is filled with tons of energy! Unfortunately, with a toddler running around in our home, Autumn hasn’t been too nice (growls and snips). Our energy has also shifted to our baby. Autumn is looking for a family who loves going on walks and loves having a good time. She is great with older kids and loves cuddles and hugs. We are sad to have to rehome our dog but we know someone out there will show her the love she deserves.

Happy go lucky, sweet and fun this girl is wishing for a foster or adopter to come along so she can break free from shelter life and into a home. She is about a 1 year old, 45lb mix breed girl found as a stray. She loves to be told she is a pretty girl, get pets and play with her canine pals. She is great with all the dogs she has met, just wants to play. We haven’t seen her around kitties. Since she is in a shelter environment expect to do potty and crate training refresher, and work on some leash manners. She promises that with a bit of training she is going to be amazing! We do require that all dogs under 2 years old get signed up for training class prior to adoption. Requirements: Training sign up required Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.
