Snapshot of Gordy: Size? Medium-Large (48 lbs) Activity Level? High -he is a border collie mix, after all! ;) Noise Level? Low Good with Dogs? Yes Good with Cats? Yes Good with Kids? Likely, but no children in foster home. Good with Strangers? Yes Potty Trained? Yes, with appropriate supervision and a schedule. Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Medium About Gordy: Hi, my name is Gordy! I also respond to Gordo, Gordito, Sir Gordon, and Cheesy Gordita Crunch. I am an adorable border collie/lab mix who wants nothing more than a home to call my own--and, preferably, a ball to call my own as well. I LOVE to chase balls, and if no balls are around, I'll make do with chasing anything you throw for me--stuffies, sticks, ropes... the options are endless. My foster mom says that I'm amazingly well adjusted given my relatively rough history. I was 1 of 16 (!!) dogs rescued from a local home, and I haven't had the best care before now. For example, you might notice that I have a bit of a limp due to a wonky front foot. The vet says that this is likely caused by a ruptured tendon that didn't heal right. Fortunately, it doesn't slow me down at all! I also recently had 8 front teeth removed, including 3 of my canines, which were all fractured, likely from biting at the bars of a crate. Still, nothing can bring down my happy-go-lucky personality (except, of course, when my foster mom puts away my ball for the night). Something else you should know about me is that I tested positive for two tick-borne diseases, Anaplasmosis and Lyme. I received treatment and I don’t have any signs of chronic Lyme infection - which is AMAZING news! I will likely continue to test positive for both of these for the rest of my life due to chronic antibodies. It is possible that I could develop side effects from Lyme later in my life but for now I’m a happy and healthy boy! Here's a bit more from my foster mom: An ideal home for Gordy would be one that can give him lots of mental and physical stimulation. He really enjoys chewing on bones and bully sticks, playing tug with toys, and playing fetch. He's also a smart boy and has picked up on sit, lay down, and crate up very quickly. We're working on some new commands for him to show off! I think he'd do great with someone who enjoys having a dog that can be a companion to them on a variety of adventures! Gordy is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Story
Hi there! I'm Rex, and I'm currently scouting for a new permanent teammate. My previous owner passed away, so I'm looking for a fresh start with a family that appreciates a professional-grade snuggler. A Little About Me: -The Social Director: I've had a dog sibling by my side almost my whole life. I'm a huge fan of other dogs - having a buddy around makes my tail wag twice as fast. -Ball is Life: If you have a ball, we are best friends. I will fetch until the sun goes down (and then maybe a few more times in the dark). -Kitchen Supervisor: I take my job seriously. If you're in the kitchen, I am sitting right next to you. You know, just in case you need me to taste-test some falling bacon. -The "Bedtime Snack" Enthusiast: My favorite part of the day? The pre-bedtime treat. It's a non-negotiable part of my evening bedtime routine. My "Work in Progress" List: -I like to bark at passing cars. I'm just making sure they know the speed limit! -The crate: not a fan. I'd much rather be out where the action (and the snacks) are. -I'm a total gentleman on walks! As for kids? I haven't met many yet, so I'm still deciding if they're as cool as dogs. I'm a sweet loyal boy who just wants to be part of the "pack" again. Could your kitchen floor be my new favorite spot?

Her owner had been living in an assisted living facility, but after being transferred to long-term care, JJ is no longer able to stay there and now has nowhere to go. JJ is understandably very sad and confused as she adjusts to everything that has happened. She has been a loyal companion and is missing the comfort of her person. Despite the changes, she remains a very sweet and gentle dog. She is good with people, kids, and other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for many different types of families. JJ just needs a kind home where she can feel secure again and know she is loved. With a little time and reassurance, JJ will be a devoted and loving companion to the family who gives her a second chance. She’ll greet you at the door with a wagging tail, but she’s not demanding—she comes to you when she wants affection and is content to snooze the day away. On walks, Brit is a dream. She stays right by your side at any pace and enjoys exploring the world calmly and confidently. She tolerates other dogs and does well with children, but her happiest life will be with a calm fur sibling in a quiet adult home. Brit recently had one eye removed after an unfortunate porcupine encounter, but she’s recovering beautifully and has shown zero aggression toward other animals while in care. 💵 Adoption Fee: $495

Age: 5 years old Weight: 75 lbs (over weight) Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: older kids only Potty trained: yes Crate trained: yes Blue is a 5 yo Border Collie who loves to chase tennis balls, go for walks and to get belly rubs. Even though typically an active breed, he is quite calm and enjoys naps. Blue is also smart, loyal, and affectionate. He readily goes to his kennel when asked and is very loving toward his foster mom, contentedly following her around the house throughout the day. Blue came to rescue after his owner passed away, and previously thrived as an only dog. Blue is currently becoming more comfortable with his foster’s dogs, but this is still a new experience for him. To get to his healthiest weight, Blue should get plenty of exercise as part of his daily routine. Looking for a new best buddy? This may be your guy! Adoption fee: $495.00
