Tettegouche is a tri-colored dog with lots of speckles including on his belly. Tettegouche is a well socialized pup that we believe is about 9 weeks old. He arrived at PUP well fed and well cared for. We think his mom (pictured) is a Swiss White Shepherd (basically a white German shepherd) mix. Daddy was probably an Aussie X but that is best guess. Tettegouche is very sweet and a good cuddler. He is playful and loves people. We believe Tettegouche will weigh about 55-65 as an adult but that is best guess, and his adopter should be prepared to love him if he is larger or smaller when he is all done growing. Tettegouche and his 3 siblings were surrendered to PUP by their owners who lived in a remote rural area. They wanted to find good homes for their pups so they surrendered them to PUP and asked if we would help them get their mom dog spayed. The answer was yes. Puppies are now living with other puppies and dogs and are thriving. They have had lots of company and lap up the attention. Tettegouche is doing a good job of learning housebreaking but he is not quite there yet. He takes care of business right away when he goes out. If you take him out on a regular basis, it all ends up outside. He is being crated at night and for 3-4 hour stints during the work day. He walks reasonably well on a leash (for a puppy). The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Tettegouche has been vaccinated and wormed. He will need two more routine vaccination plus rabies at the owner’s expense. The $375 adoption fee (check or cash) includes the cost of pup’s required spay/neuter at 6 months of age provided it is done by one of the PUP vets. We do place puppies outside the metro area but a plan for the required spay/neuter must be in place. We do not ship. If you are at least 21 years old and everyone in your household is on board with adopting a puppy, CALL 651-645-4370 between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and we will return your call within 24 hours. If you elect to contact us via e-mail it may take several weeks for us to get back to you. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. If you currently have a companion dog or cat please be prepared to provide a vet reference prior to adoption if requested.

Hi there, I’m Mina! My foster mom says I’m one of the most gorgeous pups she’s ever met! I was brought here to Minnesota from Alabama where I had a rough start to life. Me and my siblings were found abandoned under a log in the woods as tiny little babies. When we were found, we were hungry and covered with mange – most of us didn’t have much hair! Thanks to rescue and the kind care of my Alabama foster momma, I now have all my wavy fur back, and it’s soft as a bunny. I am THRIVING in my MN foster home with two foster sisters who are teaching me all about this thing called “zoomies.” My fenced backyard is a great place for running and playing, but also makes for some great bird watching too! My favorite kind of people are definitely women, but I’m really starting to warm up to my foster dad. The other dogs in my house assure me he’s pretty great- which they aren’t wrong, he does give the best scratches and not to mention the bestest yummy treats! I am already spayed, potty trained, and crate trained! Couldn’t get much better than that if you ask my foster mama! Oh, did I mention I’m also OBSESSED with toys?! Any kind you name it I will play with it. My all time favorites are stuffies as big as me, and the really fun squeaky ones! I may get called a toy hoarder as I like to tuck away my favorites in my crate for later. I mean, it is one of my favorite places to hang out so I might as well make it my own! I am an amazing snuggler and a total sweetheart. Not to mention, a big goofy girl! I am SO ready for a family of my own. Lulu has been living with my wife and I for two years now. She loves to cuddle and go for walks. She might even play fetch with the right toy! 40-45 pounds. She is being fed high quality food so she is very healthy, but she might try to get higher quality food off your counter. Her two years have been spent on a farm where she can roam free and have fun. If you're in a neighborhood you'll need a fence. Cannot be in an apartment. She really doesn't like strangers and will vocally let you know if someone is at the door. Moderate shedding. Knows basic training and can be free feed if regularly active. Loves car rides and finds them relaxing, unless going to a park, then she gets excited.
