Cowboy, male 2yr old, Australian Shepherd, weighs 55lbs Cowboy was out looking for love in all the wrong places and found himself at the city pound. Our rescue partner in Texas pulled him from the pound, got him fixed (to curb his desires) and he got a first class airplane ride to Wisconsin. During the time he spent at the rescue in Texas, no one ever came to claim him, which was sad as he truly is a wonderful boy! He is well mannered, knows his basic commands and is a dream on his leash. He gets along well with other dogs and is a rock star in a playgroup. He does have some herding instincts but reprimands well when corrected. Cowboy is attentive and treat motivated so additional training anyone would want to do will be a breeze. He is eager to please. Crate trained and seems to know to go out for potty breaks, he will make a great addition for any semi-active family that has a yard for him to romp and play in. He is also terrific with kids!
