Meet Spicy. Spicy is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix who is loyal and sweet. This petite girl weighs around 35 pounds and is the perfect size for both couch cuddles and everyday adventures. Spicy is a gentle soul who is blossoming more each day and learning what it means to be a loved companion. She recovered beautifully from her spay and has been making steady progress in her foster home—this resilient pup is ready for her next chapter! She may be a little shy at first and can take some time to warm up, but once she trusts you, her affectionate personality truly shines. Spicy loves to cuddle, seeks out human attention, and is happiest when she’s right by your side. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion, she will happily fill that role. Spicy is fairly low energy, making her a great fit for a quieter home. She’s doing well with potty training—she will go outside when taken out, though she still has occasional accidents as she continues to learn. Being kept on a schedule will be key to her success! She knows “sit,” is working on “stay,” and responds to her name most of the time. She’s also very treat-motivated, which makes training a great bonding opportunity. Spicy would ideally do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She can coexist around other animals, but she prefers to have her people to herself and will benefit from continued guidance and structure. (She currently lives with a dog, which she does well with, but does not do well with the cat) She enjoys chew bones and tougher toys but isn’t too interested in balls or plush toys. She tolerates brushing well, and while baths aren’t her favorite, she does best with a little extra support. Ideally (but not a dealbreaker), Spicy would love a home with a fenced yard and someone home more often than not. That said, we are willing to consider a variety of home environments with the right commitment to her routine and continued confidence-building. Spicy is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her time, consistency, and reassurance as she continues to build confidence. In return, she’ll give you endless affection, loyalty, and the sweetest cuddles. If you’re ready to give Spicy the love she deserves, she can’t wait to meet you!

Blanche the Australian Shepherd Husky Mix's Story Arriving in Wisconsin May 29th! Introducing Blanche, a gorgeous 2 year old mixed breed female. Her exact breed mix is unknown, but she shows traits of both Australian Shepherds and Husky or Chow. She weighs about 45 pounds and is fully grown. Blanche is a sweet and friendly girl who loves people and is always wagging her tail. She gets along well with other dogs, and particularly likes to play with puppies. She knows the sit command. Health & Vetting: Blanche is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, tested heartworm negative, dewormed, and microchipped. She will come with medical records and an interstate health certificate from a licensed veterinarian confirming good health prior to transport. Adoption Details: Blanche will arrive in Muskego, WI on May 29th. She will be available to meet (and go home if it’s a good fit) to the first family who has placed a deposit to hold her exclusively for them. Adoption Fee: $500 Deposit: $250 (applied toward adoption fee) The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We kindly ask that you are serious about adopting before placing a deposit, as we only accept one per dog. Princess is 8 months old, 25 pounds, and spayed. We don't know her breeds but we think she looks like a kelpie or rat terrier mix. Her owner surrendered her at 4 months old when she became severely ill. Princess has traveled between multiple rescues and states and she is now settled into her Wisconsin foster home. We are committed to learning all about canine type 1 diabetes and sharing that knowledge with you! Princess is a gem; she is a happy girl who enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks, playing with her dog friends and chewing on stuffies. She loves her people and older kids, but she needs proper introductions due to declining vision. She is best matched in a quieter routine-oriented home. She is great with calm dogs and ignores cats. She is house trained, but needs frequent potty breaks. Princess receives Insulin shots, eats a prescribed diet and requires daily monitoring of her blood glucose levels. Her new owners must be prepared to invest in her ongoing care. She is on a set schedule and must eat and get her insulin shot at the same time every morning and night.
