Spot is a 2 and a half year old beagle basset mix hoping Santa brings him a new home for the holidays! He is about 26 pounds and up to date on shots and neutered. Spot is your typical beagle basset who is high energy and has a tendency to grab his own treats off the counters! He is house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He was relinquished to OBHR because he was one of 4 high energy dogs in the house and it was too much to handle. Basically because he is a hound dog! So if you are familiar with hounds he will fit right into your family! He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! His adoption fee is $300 and he is currently located in Columbus.  if interested please apply at ohiobassetrescue.com and once approved email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. He has alopecia but what he lacks in hair he makes up for in charm Gunner is happy and easy going and just such a pleasure to be around He thinks he is a lap dog and is always ready to cuddle. Gunner has very good manners, although he is a basset so his ears are simply for decoration not for listening, lol! Gunner is very social with the other dogs. He seems to be completely house broken and keeps his run clean even overnight. Overall Gunner is a 10 out of 10! Gunner is currently located in the Columbus area and he does not require a fenced in yard. He is completely up-to-date and neutered. His adoption fee is $300. Story
We recently adopted Dusty from a rescue facility, as he had been there only a couple of weeks. We have had Dusty for a few or so months, he truly is a great dog, I just don’t have a lot of time to be with him due to having to switch jobs and Dusty loves to be around people. I also have a couple older geriatric cats that I’ve had for over 14-15 years and they have just not adjusted well. He is very high energy and very active. He’s very adventurous and always curious of everything, always in search of something and being mischievous. He would be a good fit for someone who can spend lots of time with him and can continuously keep up with him. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle! He is still learning. Dusty appreciates slow introductions with other dogs and has been in doggie daycare 3x a week with our other dog so he is well accustomed to smaller breeds. My significant other works for a vets office and would appreciate to see veterinary records of other animals he’ll be meeting.
