Please note that Archie will not be available for adoption until late November. His neuter is scheduled for November 18 however we will speak with anpproved Adopter’s beforehand. Archie is a one year-old basset hound. He is a sweet boy who does great with other dogs and loves people. He his house trained, his foster family has not left him in a crate as he has done fine without it. He will need a home with a fenced in yard. Older children only please. Preferred at 10 and up. Archie has some guarding issues so he will need a family who is willing to continue his training and let him know what is expected of him. He is a young boy so he will learn quickly under the proper guidance! He is being fostered near Dayton Ohio. He is currently on some antibiotics which is preventing him from being neutered until later in the month. If you are interested in Archie please fill out the application on our website, and once approved email us with the password that will be given to you by one of our volunteers who processes your application. Spot is a 2 and a half year old beagle basset mix hoping Santa brings him a new home for the holidays! He is about 26 pounds and up to date on shots and neutered. Spot is your typical beagle basset who is high energy and has a tendency to grab his own treats off the counters! He is house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He was relinquished to OBHR because he was one of 4 high energy dogs in the house and it was too much to handle. Basically because he is a hound dog! So if you are familiar with hounds he will fit right into your family! He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! Daisy had a growth on her head that was removed when she had her spay and it is healing up nicely! Daisy is good with other dogs, we have not had her cat tested. We would prefer a home with a fenced in yard and her adoption fee is $300. She is currently located in the Columbus area. Story
We recently adopted Dusty from a rescue agency, as he had been there only a couple of weeks. We have had Dusty for about 2 1/2 months, he truly is a great dog, I just don’t have a lot of time to be with him due to having to switch jobs and Dusty loves to be around people. I also have a couple older geriatric cats that I’ve had for over 14-15 years and they have just not adjusted well with him. He is high energy and very active. It seems as if he may have a been a hunting dog at some point in his previous life, he is very adventurous and always curious of everything. He would be a good fit for someone who can spend lots of time with him. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle!
