Chance is your typical beagle basset who is high energy and has a tendency to grab his own treats off the counters! He is house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He was relinquished to OBHR because he was one of 4 high energy dogs in the house and it was too much to handle. Basically because he is a hound dog! So if you are familiar with hounds he will fit right into your family! He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! His adoption fee is $300 and he is currently located in Columbus. Daisy is a sweet girl who was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan! She is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and has been named office manager at our vet’s office! Daisy had a growth on her head that was removed when she had her spay and it is healing up nicely! Daisy is good with other dogs, we have not had her cat tested. We would prefer a home with a fenced in yard and her adoption fee is $300. She is currently located in the Columbus area. We recently adopted Dusty from a rescue agency, as he had been there only a couple of weeks. We have had Dusty for about 2 1/2 months, he truly is a great dog, I just don’t have a lot of time to be with him due to having to switch jobs and Dusty loves to be around people. I also have a couple older geriatric cats that I’ve had for over 14-15 years and they have just not adjusted well with him. He is high energy and very active. It seems as if he may have a been a hunting dog at some point in his previous life, he is very adventurous and always curious of everything. He would be a good fit for someone who can spend lots of time with him. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle!

LADY is long and low and simply gorgeous. She's a basset hound/beagle type mix, about 18 months old and fully grown at 32 pounds. She is an absolutely delightful girl who loves everyone she meets. She was a family pet who was surrendered through no fault of her own, her family was moving and couldn't take her along. Lady lived with kids, is dog friendly and ignores the cat in her foster home. She's confident and playful. She loves to run and romp and play and needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her nose into trouble. Lady is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Lady, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Lady at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
