Meet Cooper 🐾 Cooper is a 3-year-old Heeler mix with a playful personality, plenty of energy, and a gentle heart. This handsome guy loves to play and would make a great companion for someone looking for an active dog to join them on adventures. Despite his energetic side, Cooper knows how to be gentle — especially with kids. He has lived with three children who love petting and playing with him, and he does wonderfully with them. Cooper also does well with other dogs. He can be a little reserved when meeting a new canine friend, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up and start playing. Cooper is crate trained and has spent his life living both indoors and outdoors. Because of that, he may need a little patience and consistency as he adjusts to living fully indoors and learns the routines of his new home. Cooper has never lived with cats, so we don’t know how he would do with feline friends. Hi, my name's Franny! I'm what they call a terrier/cattle dog mix, which apparently means I have amazing ears and am super cute. ​My life hasn't always been easy. I've been bounced around from house to house and was never given the love I needed. I was scared, confused, and didn't know what was happening the day that Chain of Hope came to rescue me. Little did I know, that was the beginning of a new life for me! ​It took me a few days to get acclimated, understandably. I was terrified and no one had ever shown me affection before, so I didn't know what it felt like. After a few days, I allowed some of the Chain of Hope people into my circle and I have been a different dog ever since! I am still slow to warm up to new people, and you'll need to let me go at my own pace, but I am definitely learning to trust people and know that they are there to love me. ​I am good with other dogs and am so excited to find my new forever home. Once I know and trust you, I love to give kisses and sit in your lap, just to show you how grateful I am! I love to play to fetch and would make a great running partner. Hi, I'm Buddy, and if you're looking for a built-in best friend and adventure buddy, you've found him! I'm a young shepherd mix weighing about 30 pounds, and I'll likely grow into a 60lb sidekick. Even though I'm still a puppy, I've already mastered potty training and sleeping through the night in my kennel. Now for the fun part: playtime! I love puzzle toys, chew toys, crinkly toys, toys I can toss in the air...honestly, I haven't met a toy I don't like yet! I'm just as crazy about friends as I am about toys. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and never say no to a playdate. As for people? I've never met a stranger—I think everyone is a potential new best friend! I'm also a curious little shadow. I love following my foster parents around to see what they're up to, but I'm pretty good at "reading the room," too. 🐾 Meet Auzie Auzie is a sweet 10-year-old Australian Shepherd who is ready for the soft, comfortable life he deserves. After being saved from a difficult situation by a caring neighbor, Auzie was nursed back to health and given the chance to start over. Despite everything he’s been through, this little 20-pound guy is incredibly sweet and loves being around people. Auzie is also good with other dogs, and his caregiver believes he would do well with children. His experience with cats is currently unknown. He walks nicely on a leash, keeps his crate clean, and is working on becoming more comfortable with crate training. As part of getting him healthy again, Auzie needed to have all of his teeth removed. He’s feeling much better now, but he’ll need to eat soft food for the rest of his life—a pretty small accommodation for such a special guy. At 10 years old, Auzie isn’t asking for much. He’s looking for a safe home, a cozy place to rest, and people who will make sure the rest of his life is filled with the love and care he should have had all along.
