Meet Carlsbad — Your Spirited, Snuggly Sidekick! 🐾 Carlsbad is a young Red Heeler/Pit Bull mix bursting with adorable puppy energy and big charm. He’s curious, playful, cuddly, and always ready to be part of whatever his people are doing. This friendly guy gets along great with dogs, cats, and children. In classic heeler fashion, he may try to herd his friends, but he’s learning quickly and his puppy manners are coming along beautifully. He’s outgrown his mouthy puppy phase and is turning into a polite, eager-to-please companion. Carlsbad already has some impressive “big dog” skills, too — he has free roam of his foster home and reliably uses the doggie door. He absolutely loves having the freedom to pop outside for a sniff, adventure, or zoomie session, so a fenced yard would make him very happy. When he’s not exploring, Carlsbad is a total cuddler who enjoys curling up with his humans and soaking up affection. He’d thrive with a family who enjoys an active, smart, affectionate pup and is ready to keep up with his fun-loving heeler spirit. If you’re looking for a playful adventure buddy who also gives A+ snuggles, Carlsbad is your guy. 💛 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the perfect match. All of our cats are adoption-ready and come: • Spayed or neutered • FELV/FIV tested • Dewormed • Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines • Microchipped

Story
🌄 Meet Denali — The Sweet, Playful Explorer Waiting for Her Forever Home! Denali is a 6-month-old cutie from the “National Parks” litter — a group of puppies rescued from very poor outdoor living conditions. While seven of her littermates have already been adopted, Denali and her two siblings are still waiting…watching other puppies leave for their new lives while they grow older in care. 💔 But Denali isn’t letting that dim her spirit. She is bright, friendly, curious, and so ready for a family of her own. 🐶 About Denali Denali is a beautiful mystery mix of Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) and Pit Bull Terrier, and she has the best traits of both breeds — smart, people-oriented, affectionate, and eager to please. ✨ Her Personality: • Super friendly — loves meeting new people • Playful and curious — everything is exciting and worth exploring • Confident with big dogs • Great with kids — limited exposure, but she loved the children she met • Social & outgoing — she wants to be part of everything happening around her At ~30 lbs, she’s a perfect medium-sized companion and still has some growing to do. 🏞 Why Denali Is Special Despite her rough beginnings, Denali’s heart is wide open. She has excellent behavior for a young pup and is well on her way to becoming a loyal, loving companion for life. She’s eager to learn, eager to bond, and eager to be someone’s adventure buddy. 💛 Denali Would Love: ✔ A home with time for training, play, and affection ✔ A dog friend to romp around with (optional, but she’d love it!) ✔ Kids or active adults to share fun and companionship ✔ Someone who wants a social, happy, people-loving dog 🌟 She’s growing up waiting — but she shouldn’t have to. Denali is ready to be chosen. Ready to be loved. Ready to start her life with a family who sees the sweet, playful, confident girl she already is. If you’re looking for a joyful pup who will bring endless smiles, Denali might just be your perfect match. 💕🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
🐾 Meet Delta — A Spunky Heeler Mix with a Big Heart Delta is an 11-month-old American Blue Heeler mix who’s full of personality, affection, and classic young-dog energy. She was recently returned through no fault of her own, and she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who’s excited to keep up with her learning and zest for life. Delta is a sweetheart through and through. She’s great with people, kids, and other dogs, and she loves being part of the action. She’s potty trained and crate trained, and her crate is actually her favorite place to relax and decompress when she’s had a big day. This spunky girl has lots of puppy energy and enthusiasm, and she’s been working hard on her manners. She’s already made great progress—learning to pause during play when called and responding well to guidance, even when other dogs are still having fun. Like many heelers, she’s smart, eager, and thrives when given direction. Because of her breed mix, Delta will do best in a home that can provide both mental and physical exercise. She enjoys playing in the yard, interacting with other dogs, and engaging activities that keep her brain busy. Continued training, enrichment, and structure will help her shine. Delta is looking for a home that understands young working-breed energy and is ready to invest in her continued growth. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, affection, and endless entertainment. If you’re searching for a playful, loving, people-friendly pup who’s eager to learn and ready to bond, Delta may be the perfect addition to your family. 💕 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Being homeless and at a shelter isnt fun - can be downright scary. I was at a small&#44 rural town shelter which doesnt get much traffic. I was then fortunate to go to Great Plains to a much bigger town. Ohhhhhh&#44 Im hoping that it will help me find my own family and home.

The staff/volunteers are super nice and Im slowly feeling more confident with everything being new to me. I enjoy playing with stuffy toys and know the command&#44 sit. I walk nicely and do like back rubs (who doesnt?). You need to see me with other dogs. I am not bashful at all with other dogs. We speak the same language. Dogs give me confidence in myself and WOW playing in playgroups with different dogs is heaven for me.

Do you have a dog that would enjoy having a brother? Id be happy to have a sister or brother or both. Bring your dog(s) and lets meet. Im a good boy and look forward to meeting you.

All my love&#44
Bowie

Story
Meet Ziggy! This boy is a super speedy ball of energy and FUN! You absolutely can never get bored with him around. It's difficult to tell in a photo, but he is a super fun sized guy weighing in at only 38 lbs.! He's the perfect fit if you're looking for someone who can kick it with the big dogs, and has a big personality, but in a compact size! Ziggy is about 5 years old, he loves to play with his friends and definitely keeps us all laughing with his goofy, zoomie personality. Ziggy craves social interaction, from humans and other dogs. His previous owner left him alone on a tie out often, which caused him to have some separation anxiety. Having other dogs to play with has definitely helped him in this area, but he will still need a home where he will not be alone long hours of the day everyday. He would also do best in a home with a canine companion to play with. Ziggy will need an active family, he is a fun loving, high energy dog. He would not be an appropriate fit for someone who does not have the time to give him a lot of daily exercise and activity. Ziggy loves kids, but he is pretty hyper and needs to work on manners, so he may be to much for small toddlers and babies. However, older kids would be okay. Ziggy needs at least a 6 foot fence for any home with a yard, he can jump a four foot fence. Ziggy would be best in a home without cats or really tiny dogs as he wants to chase and play and is just a little to much for them. He is crate trained and should transition into housetraining quickly. If you have another dog, we will want to introduce them to ensure that they get along well.

Story
After a lifetime of love, Shelly is hoping for one more forever. Shelly is an 11-yr old Cattle Dog mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. She’s spent nearly her whole life in a wonderful home, but sadly, her owner has become ill and can no longer care for her. Now, this gentle girl is looking for a new family to love for the rest of her days. Shelly is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. She loves her walks, enjoys quiet cuddle time, and would be thrilled to share your bed or your couch for snuggles at night. She’s easygoing, affectionate, and gets along well with other dogs. She would do best in a house with no cats, since they are new to her. This lovely senior just wants a soft place to land and someone to call her own again. She still has so much love to give — all she needs is a family to give it to. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, Shelly is looking for you too! Shelly will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
Bella 🐾 ~8 years old | ~70 lbs | Aussie / Great Pyrenees mix (best guess) Bella is a wonderfully calm, gentle girl who fits easily into everyday life. She’s the kind of dog who just gets it — polite, easygoing, and happy to be wherever her people are. In her foster home, Bella has shown herself to be: ✔️ Potty trained, kennel trained, and leash trained ✔️ Exceptionally gentle and obedient ✔️ Great with other dogs and cats ✔️ Nondestructive and well-mannered ✔️ Quiet — not a frequent barker ✔️ Secure with fencing (does not jump a 3-ft fence) Bella enjoys going on walks and then relaxing around the house. She has a light-weight coat without a heavy undercoat, so shedding is likely minimal compared to typical double-coated breeds. She’s healthy, affectionate, and very easy to care for — an ideal companion for someone looking for a steady, low-drama dog with a sweet nature. Bella would thrive in a home that appreciates a calm, loving presence and wants a dog who already knows how to be a good house companion.

🐾 Ozzie — The Ultimate Sweetheart, Toy-Loving Entertainer, Cuddle-Bug Ozzie is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality, a big heart, and a fluffy tail that never stops wagging. He loves people, enjoys attention, and will gladly be your playful shadow. He would especially love to play fetch with you for hours if you'll allow it. Ozzie knows basic commands, wrestles happily with friendly dogs, and is an expert at fetch—especially catching toys out of the air. He can be protective of his high-value items (toys, treats, food), so a home familiar with managing minor resource guarding would be best. He’s dog friendly, previously lived in a home with children, cat-friendly, kennel trained, very well-behaved when left alone, and thrives on play and connection. Ozzie also excellent with leash manners and enjoys his walks outdoors! Ozzie’s Ideal Home: ✔ Adults or families who love a snuggly dog ✔ A playful home ready for fetch, fun, and training ✔ A friendly dog companion—preferably not toy-possessive If you want a fun, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling, Ozzie just might be your perfect match. 🖤🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Meet PeBo – A Gentle Senior Aussie Mix 💙 PeBo is a sweet 10-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a big heart and a lifetime of love to give. Recently surrendered through no fault of his own, this senior boy is hoping to find a warm foster or forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by comfort and care. PeBo is housetrained, well-mannered, and enjoys the company of people. He would do best in a home with adults only and a calm environment. When treated with courtesy and patience, PeBo is affectionate, easygoing, and happy to be by your side. He loves exploring a yard, enjoys outdoor time, and walks nicely on leash with a little guidance. He has always done well with other dogs, especially with polite introductions, and he has proven how amicably he can coexist with kitties, too! PeBo doesn’t need a crate and does well when left alone. He’s calm, loyal, and thrives in a peaceful home where he can be part of daily life without too much fuss. Seniors like him deserve comfort, love, and family — and he’ll give it back tenfold. If you can offer a gentle, respectful home where PeBo’s needs as an older dog are honored, he’ll reward you with endless devotion. Could you be the one to give PeBo his second chance? P.S.
