He's got a little secret for you: if you hold him, he'll snuggle right in, sometimes hugging you right back. Norman is a submissive little fella but very gentle and kind hearted. He started life as a little homeless pup, with no shelter, no human, no love so he soaks up ALL that stuff now! He's discovering the joy of snow too! If you'd like to show him just how good life can be, he'll do the same for you!! Apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org. His adoption fee is is $500 and he's fostered in Hastings, Mn. ##2606130##

Story
Jack Sparrow Male Border Collie mix DOB: 11-14-25 Current weight: 12 pounds and growing Good with dogs. Unknown with cats Kennel training- Is going well but he’s just too young yet to go a full evening. He does alert that he needs to go out. Ahoy Mattey! Are you ready to set sail (furever) with Jack Sparrow? Captain Jack promises it will be full of love, snuggles, fun and sweetness. Jack Sparrow came into rescue young, tiny and very sick. However, Jack Sparrow is a fighter as well as a lover. He has recovered very well and is learning that life is fun, warm and safe. Jack Sparrow loves to snuggle. Whether it’s in your robes, your vests, or some blankets as long as he’s attached to you. He nuzzles in and melts your heart. Jack Sparrow is food motivated and is learning prompts and commands. He is only getting up once over night to go outside and then right back to sleep. Sweet Jack Sparrow would never tell you to “walk the plank” for not falling in love with him, although that doesn’t matter because it’s not possible to not fall in love with this amazing Captain! Apply for Jack Sparrow at emotionalrescuedogs.org ##2646389##

Story
I`m Dolly, a border collie mix puppy with black, brown and tan coloring. I came to Animal Ark after I was abandoned. The young man who was temporarily taking care of me described me as shy, obedient, and playful. He said that I liked playing tag and walking in the woods but also enjoyed just hanging out on the couch. I am cautious and reserved around other dogs, and it is not known how I would do around children and cats. Since I`ve been to the shelter, staff have found me to be clean, friendly, and good on a leash. Herding may be in my DNA, and I`m sure I have a strong work ethic. I`d be a great walking partner or just happy to be a part of your family. To meet me, fill out an adoption application and staff will schedule a meet and greet. Hope to see you soon!

Story
Snapshot of Gordy: Size? Medium-Large (48 lbs) Activity Level? High -he is a border collie mix, after all! ;) Noise Level? Low Good with Dogs? Yes Good with Cats? Yes Good with Kids? Likely, but no children in foster home. Good with Strangers? Yes Potty Trained? Yes, with appropriate supervision and a schedule. Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Medium About Gordy: Hi, my name is Gordy! I also respond to Gordo, Gordito, Sir Gordon, and Cheesy Gordita Crunch. I am an adorable border collie/lab mix who wants nothing more than a home to call my own--and, preferably, a ball to call my own as well. I LOVE to chase balls, and if no balls are around, I'll make do with chasing anything you throw for me--stuffies, sticks, ropes... the options are endless. My foster mom says that I'm amazingly well adjusted given my relatively rough history. I was 1 of 16 (!!) dogs rescued from a local home, and I haven't had the best care before now. For example, you might notice that I have a bit of a limp due to a wonky front foot. The vet says that this is likely caused by a ruptured tendon that didn't heal right. Fortunately, it doesn't slow me down at all! I also recently had 8 front teeth removed, including 3 of my canines, which were all fractured, likely from biting at the bars of a crate. Still, nothing can bring down my happy-go-lucky personality (except, of course, when my foster mom puts away my ball for the night). Something else you should know about me is that I tested positive for two tick-borne diseases, Anaplasmosis and Lyme. I received treatment and I don’t have any signs of chronic Lyme infection - which is AMAZING news! I will likely continue to test positive for both of these for the rest of my life due to chronic antibodies. It is possible that I could develop side effects from Lyme later in my life but for now I’m a happy and healthy boy! Here's a bit more from my foster mom: An ideal home for Gordy would be one that can give him lots of mental and physical stimulation. He really enjoys chewing on bones and bully sticks, playing tug with toys, and playing fetch. He's also a smart boy and has picked up on sit, lay down, and crate up very quickly. We're working on some new commands for him to show off! I think he'd do great with someone who enjoys having a dog that can be a companion to them on a variety of adventures! Gordy is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.
