Story
Petey is a 30-lb Border Collie mix—or a small dog with a big personality! At 2-years-old, he's a sassy younger sibling to his foster brother Max, always riling Max up in a hilarious way. Petey loves to taunt his brother with his hilariously cute "tough guy" growl when they play, making sure Max knows it's out of love, so they can end up in a classic cuddle puddle. Petey is house-trained and always eager to please. He lets you know when it’s time to go outside and is full of energy and fun. He is crate-trained, but does not enjoy being in the kennel alone. While he’s still learning some manners, he’s as sweet and good-natured as they come.Petey gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely loves having a canine buddy to play and wrestle with—his foster brother has been a huge help in bringing out his confidence and playful side. He gets excited when seeing other dogs on walks, always ready to make a new friend. He’s also good with kids, but since he can be a jumper when he’s excited, a proper introduction is recommended first. Petey cannot live with cats.Petey’s favorite things in life are walks, playing fetch, and wrestling with his dog friends. Squeaky toys and plushies get destroyed with him! He’s happiest when he’s active, so Petey will thrive in a home with a fenced yard or a family committed to giving him plenty of daily exercise in other ways. Everly is a sweet, happy, spunky little girl who loves life large! She is super smart and very brave. Despite being one of the smallest pups in her litter, she was the first one to figure out the ramp from the deck to the yard. She loves to play with her siblings but she is enamored with one of the resident dogs in her foster home and follows the other dog everywhere and does whatever her foster sister does. It's adorable! She's a confident little peanut. She loves to be held and is very snuggly and loving too. She will be ready to meet prospective new families in MN starting Sunday, 1/11! Everly is about 10 weeks old and weighs just under 9 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Hi, I’m Aspen! I'm a silly, spunky boy that’s on the hunt for a family of my own. Whether you're looking for a playful companion or a snuggle bug, I'm your guy! I am a world-class couch cuddler if I do say so myself. Jo also a big fan of toys. Whether it’s a chew toy, stuffie or bone, I don’t discriminate! I’m a smart guy, so puzzle toys have been a hit. I LOVE eating yummy treats, running around outside, and playing with other dogs. I would enjoy having a friendly dog in my forever home to learn the ropes from, but that’s not a dealbreaker. I'm on the shy side in new environments, but with a handful of treats and a little bit of patience, my hesitant exterior melts away. I love deeply and show it in the form of kisses, cuddles, and happy wiggle butts. I’m doing great with house training when kept on a schedule (I rarely have an accident in the house!). I happily stay in my kennel at night and when my foster parents aren’t home. I’ve enjoyed the kids I’ve met while out and about. I’m not living with any right now but would likely enjoy having a dog-savvy kiddo to be my playmate! I’m learning and growing everyday and am ready to find my forever family! Could that be you?
