Henry is an amazing and friendly boy. He loves everyone. He’s very very smart and loves to make you happy. He’s adored and was trained at Your Dog’s Best Friend. Which approaches training YOU rather than your dog. An owner who teaches through love not anger. He needs a simple firm voice for any behavior. He is allergic to chicken so eats a fish based diet. He LOVES his bed and it will be best to send with him. We are sad to see him go. We want someone who loves him.

Meet Cleo! She’s very friendly and well behaved. She’s potty trained and listens very well—she knows sit and stay. She’s playful and loves other dogs. She’s an indoor dog, but she loves the outdoors. Cleo is 2.5 years old and weighs 32 pounds. She’s a border collie mixed with a scruffy terrier, so she’s very smart and active.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Welcome Hamilton to CCPAL Foster Program. Hamilton is a 10-month-old Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher mixed dog. He weighs about 25 pounds. He may fill out some but shouldn’t be much taller. He has the Border Collie colors but a shorter coat. He is very attentive and he currently is in foster care with 3 children and other dogs. He is the more dominant boy in the group. He has long legs and will be able to keep a good stride. He is moderately vocal and would be best in a home without shared walls. He is fine in a car and is crated and did fine. He is good with other dogs and kids. We like all children to be 8 or older even though he successfully lives with a smaller child now. He would be best in an active home and would be fine with another dog. He will be neutered soon and get his vaccines and be ready for his forever home. We would like someone who has had a working breed even if he is on 50% Border Collie. He will be a great walking or jogging partner and has long legs to help keep stride. We don’t see any of the herding tendencies yet but he may have some of those. People love the Border Collie Breed so we think he will get lots of interest and applications. Please put in an application and we will get back with you. What you see in the video is exactly the way this precious dog behaves regularly. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport fee is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Cheyenne to CCPAL Rescue. Cheyenne is a 13-week-old Border Collie mix. The momma dog is a pure bred Border Collie. Thes pups should be 40 pounds full grown is our best estimate. The other parent is a mystery. The momma is a farm dog and herds the goats. Cheyenne has medium length coat and it is nice and soft. The pups like water, are affectionate and smart. They were good getting their bath and Cheyenne is soft and quiet when you pick her up. The two girls in this litter are smaller than the boys and a lot less energetic. She has the beautiful longer coat like the Border Collie. We would like someone who has owned the working breed or a border collie. People who have had a BC do love this breed. She is good in her litter playing and is less energetic than the boys. Today she got her first round of vaccines and her Nexgard. She will be loved on by the kennel workers here at the shelter until she finds her new home. She was turned in by the person that had the female Border Collie. These pups are precious and would be fine with children or other dogs. We like the children to be 8 or older. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Austin to CCPAL Rescue. Austin is a 13-week-old Border Collie mix. He is the one in the litter that looks most like a Border Collie. The momma dog is a pure-bred Border Collie. The other parent is a mystery. The momma is a farm dog and herds the goats. Austin has medium length coat and it is nice and soft. The pups like water, are affectionate and smart. Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. I can be transported once adopted. Transport fee is $230.I was surrendered along with my 4 puppies because my family could not take care of me. I am an amazing jumper and have lots of energy. My foster mom thinks I would be amazing at agility training courses . I do not like to be by myself, so a home with a calmer dog would help settle me. I am good with other dogs but also love my humans. I am still a puppy at heart. I was raised with 3 children aged 8-16 so I would do well with an energetic family.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Hi! My name is Pickle and I am from a shelter in Kentucky. From the foster:Hi, people call me Pickle! I'm a 6mo neutered border collie mix. I am sweet, loyal and attentive. I walk really well on a leash with my harness and will follow behind you everywhere. I am still young and working on learning manners and basic commands. With that stated, I still put everything in my mouth so I can feel it and get to know the things around me. I love attention and affection from people and other dogs but my bonded person needs to show me who is safe and I'll feel safe. I have a strong sense of people's energy. I met my first cat friend. I hope they liked me. I am not fully potty trained YET. I am smart but my communication with my people is not quite clear. I chill out in my safe wire-create while my people work and sleep and can hold my potty business till they get home or get up. I don't fuss much. My people think I need more toys to stimulate my mind. When I'm bored in the backyard I like to dig to see what's there. What can I say... I just want to know everything!

Story
Hi. I'm Hunter. I'm from Kentucky. From the foster: Hunter is an active, playful puppy that will require supervision and training. If something is left unattended, he will get into it! He is a really sweet, but energetic dog who loves following his person around and would be great with another dog to get out some of his energy. Hunter is scared to go up my stairs (I have to carry him), and doesn't like car rides. With some training he should be able to get over some of his fears. I do leave him in the crate while I am at work, but come home to let him out to play and go to the bathroom. He will cry when being left in the crate, but eventually settles down (he just doesn't want to miss out on any fun!) He will have an accident or two when he is scared or excited (you'll notice his crouching behavior), so a belly band may be a good tool to use as you are training him. He is fully potty trained otherwise. He is such a cute boy that will require some work as he still is very much a puppy with puppy tendencies. Having bones and toys around is crucial, as he constantly needs to be chewing on something.

These pups are in Minneapolis, Minnesota too!

How adorable is this litter!? Our breed mix guesses include heeler, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Lab, Terrier...they could be all of that and more, but we do know they're 100% cuteness! These 7 puppies are ridiculously sweet, and our best guess right now is they should be around 40 pounds when full grown. They're getting plenty of handling and love, and are ready to spread their wings and find their forever homes.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
