Story
Hi, my name is Lydia and I am so grateful to be in Minnesota! Not only was I made for this weather, but I am looking forward to finding my forever family. I am pretty shy when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly and will trust you if you show me kindness, patience, and love. I love to go outside! I like to take walks on my leash and learn new tricks. I would play fetch all day if you could throw my ball that long. I am happy and quiet in my crate during the workday if my mom has to go into work. I am comfortable with my new digs and love taking naps on my very own bed. I am fully house-trained and know that the bathroom is outside. I am good at letting you know I need to go out by whining and heading toward the door. I love to play with all my toys and my foster brother (who is MUCH bigger than me). I have a few special stuffed animals that pretty much go wherever I go. Usually, I try to fit them all in my mouth at once. I am still getting used to the world around me so I can be timid of something or someone new. Sometimes I get spooked by everyday things, but I feel safe with a little reassurance and looking back to my human. I am always curious and learning more each and every day with my foster mom exposing me to all kinds of new things and experiences. I am confident with many of my commands and I usually know what is expected of me. I have learned how to sit, stay, come, shake, get down/off, walking on a leash, and I’m working really hard on roll over and wait. I am very eager to learn and perform. My foster mom says that I am great at independent play as long as I have a few toys to play with. Although playing fetch or eating nighttime ice cubes are my favorite activities, my absolute favorite is falling asleep on my back to belly rubs by my human. I fall asleep even faster when my foster mom holds my paw.My foster family tells me I must be part snow dog because I cannot get enough playtime in the snow. I love being near my people or my foster brother. I am very gentle with my humans and I like to spend my days chasing toys or my tail, followed by snuggling with you for a long nap. My foster mom says I am sweet, kind, very smart, and silly. I have learned that my facial expressions make my mom laugh, but I’m just being me! I am so silky and soft to pet and boy do I enjoy getting loved on by people. I will show my appreciation with snuggles and kisses. If you’re looking for a new loyal family member, playmate, and snuggle buddy, look no further. My foster mom tells me I deserve everything life has to offer! Everything I have been through has brought me here to you, my new family. I will be dedicated to you and you will never question my love for you. Will you be my new family and my entire world?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption.
