This compact 9 year old came to us as a pup originally after being hit by a car and left for dead with a fractured leg and pelvis. After a complicated surgery and rehab she made a full recovery and is an active healthy girl. Sadly due to changes in her adopters' living situation she is back at the shelter after years in a loving home, and she's very unhappy about it:/Hannah is a bit nervous and untrusting with new people, but after proper introductions and some yummy treats to win her over her sweet side shines through. She's very in tune to her people and their moods, and once you are in her circle of friends her loyalty and devotion is unmatched. She hasn't been socialized with other dogs and reacts when she sees them at a distance on leash, and a home where she can be the only pet and in a quieter low traffic living arrangement would be best for her. She knows her commands, is housebroken and well mannered in the house, and is about 50lbs full grown. We think she's border collie or cattle dog mixed with pittie, and she has the intelligence, energy, and playfulness of all 3 rolled into one little dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.RHETT and his 5 siblings were born after their mum, was saved from a large hoarding case in Northern Texas (April 2026) where the American Humane were involved due to the scale of abuse and neglect. "Sweetie" their mum was heavily pregnant and had a rotted, infected foot/leg that caused her leg to need amputation. Luckily she was saved and was able to give birth to 6 healthy pups in the safety of the local animal control department and their foster team. After getting vetted and old enough to travel (8 wks) they arrived safely at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on 28 May 2026. We had planned to take their mum, Sweetie along with the pups, but we are happy to share that she was a Foster-Fail down in Texas. We welcome adopters from across the East Coast and Canada — many of our families travel to meet and take home their new best friend! Health & Background Estimated date of birth: 31 March 2026 ✅ Neutered ✅ Core vaccines up to date - too young for Rabies ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with 24PetWatch - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx. 10 pounds at end of May   Our adoption fee's are $550 per dog/pup or $1,000 for two. He has some housetraining and also knows how to use a dog door. He has done okay on a leash and in a crate. He will need daily exercise but is not overly energetic. He is ready to get a forever home.

She has done well with strangers and kids, not sure about cats. She did well in a crate and in a car. She likes to play but also loves attention. She will be a great companion for any family.

This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
