Abner came to us after being given away on social media at just 4 weeks old. He is now 6.5 months old and ready to find a forever home. He is about 35 lbs and growing. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, preventions and chipped. He is a fun pup who loves to play with his foster friends and toys. He would be a great addition to any family. He is being housed in Tennessee right now but no worries because we use Rescue Riders Pet Transport who alternate going to the Northeast and the Great Lakes every weekend.

Jack is a loving and loyal dog, but he's not doing well with our toddler. Between not interacting well together, allergies and his protective behaviors of the adults, we're concerned. He's never bit our toddler, but he has growled, snipped and barked. He's housetrained, and crate trained. Very low key through the day as long as he gets some form of exercise daily. He does have some anxiety, and will be very bonded to any owner. He's good with other dogs, and goes to doggie day care/overnight care frequently. He's never had a challenge with a care taker. He does like women more than men at first.

This compact 7 year old came to us as a pup originally after being hit by a car and left for dead with a fractured leg and pelvis. After a complicated surgery and rehab she made a full recovery and is an active healthy girl. Sadly due to changes in her adopters' living situation she is back at the shelter after years in a loving home, and she's very unhappy about it:/Hannah is a bit nervous and untrusting with new people, but after proper introductions and some yummy treats to win her over her sweet side shines through. She's very in tune to her people and their moods, and once you are in her circle of friends her loyalty and devotion is unmatched. She hasn't been socialized with other dogs and reacts when she sees them at a distance on leash, and a home where she can be the only pet and in a quieter low traffic living arrangement would be best for her. She knows her commands, is housebroken and well mannered in the house, and is about 50lbs full grown. We think she's border collie or cattle dog mixed with pittie, and she has the intelligence, energy, and playfulness of all 3 rolled into one little dog. We really have nothing more to say about him because he’s such a sweetie. Ben and some other puppies were found under a bridge with their mama (or another adult female dog, we don’t actually know if it was their mom) who were all dumped there. He needs a home with someone that’s willing to take the time and train him, he’s currently living in a pen and has so much built up energy, so when anyone goes in to feed him he jumps on them. He just wants a family to call his own and throw his ball for him and let him be part of a family, in the house with them. He’s very sweet and loving and very very smart , which without a active family to help entertain him, can get him in trouble, he’s all puppy and playfulness. This guy has had a tough row to hoe but he is simply just a LOVER BOY. People have let him down but a lovely rescuer reached out and got him and now he is READY! Six months ago, someone posted him on FB saying he showed up at their apartment in a small town and they could not keep him. About a week later he mysteriously shows up about 20 miles away and another house. We firmly believe that the first people drove him out to the country and dumped him. The second home reached out to Tails of the South Rescue, and they jumped right in. He has been neutered, brought up to date on all his shots and treated for heartworm. He is now a healthy dog and ready to come to his new family. Foster says he is a PERFECT boy! She has had him about 5 months, and he's lived inside with ALL the dogs and cats. He loves to play and snuggle, put his head on your chest and give kisses. He runs the farm and doesn't bother anything! He has never been around toddlers but adores kids 6 and up. ❤️🐾🐾❤️ He is in Tennessee right now but will be transported to you using the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Blairs kids are all in amazing homes and now it is Miss Blair turn to have her own family and house full of her own very peeps to make her life complete and of course your life complete!!
