Kage is a good boy, and just SO cute ;) He is a gentleman in the house, fully potty trained and leash/ harness trained. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing in the backyard with his buds... Kage is a gorgeous lab/border collie mix, the perfect combination of smarts and drive with the family-ness of a lab. He is a great size as well- kind of a mini lab or slightly larger border collie! When you have two great things that go great together, you CELEBRATE!! He is that combo, so you can celebrate by actually adopting him into a fantastic home! He has such a sweet temperament, great with everyone he meets. He does not do well with storms but can be managed, he loves his people and is best if they are around alot. His foster mom just loves him and has gotten him as prepared for his family as she can, now it is up to you! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!!! His LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Carter is a very loving and loyal boy. He wants your love and attention and relishes in belly rubs. He is great around other dogs and kiddos. He has been around cats a did just fine. Carter is good in the house. He is potty trained and loves loves loves to sleep with his foster mom. He is looking for a home that is ready for Love and snuggles. He is full grown and just the perfect size dog! Carter if left unattended can get bored. He has been known to chew a few things and dig if he gets bored. He also needs to be kept a close eye on when it comes to the front door as Mr. Carter has been known to run a time or two at the door. It's a simple fix with baby gates and training to prevent him from this is the future! Local adoption fee $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hello, World. Meet Zhanna! -ADVENTURE PARTNER -OUTDOOR SUPERSTAR Zhanna is currently about 4 months old and we think she may be a Lab mix but with rescue it is always a bit of a mystery! From her foster: "She is a true herding dog and thrives with a family. She gets bored easily and will find something to do - So she'll keep you busy! She is so smart - good and bad. You gotta keep her busy too lol. She is protective and has a strong personality" Zhanna is playful and SUPER sweet. She absolutely THRIVES on affection and cuddling is her language of choice. She loves to play with other dogs and her toys and then cuddle up for a nap. Zhanna is still pretty young so she will need a patient family that is ready for training, socialization and all of the hard stuff that comes with owning a young puppy. However, she will make up for it with a bunch of kisses! Her new family will have to work with him on potty training, crate training, and basic commands. As she gets older we anticipate she will be a higher energy dog and will likely require physical and mental exercise daily. She will be perfect to take on long walks around the neighborhood! Zhanna is still at the age where she can be easily socialized to coexist with children, dogs & cats! Don't miss out on this amazing girl! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journeys through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge.

Story
We adopted Loretta at 8 weeks old from a shelter in eastern Washington, she will be 3 this August. She has been a ball of energy from day one, and doesn't look like she's slowing down. Her mom was a border collie, but we have no info on her father, our vet suspects some black Lab. Loretta is loyal, job driven and a true "herder breed". She loves our two kids, our other dog and the cat. Although she will "herd" the cat if it's trying to go outside, but never harm it. Loretta is happiest running on the beach or running on the farm. Loretta needs space and LOTS OF JOBS. She is extremely smart, and learns quickly, and will retrieve the ball obsessively for hours. No joke. Loretta barks a lot, especially at strangers at the door. She loves her routine and will go to her leash when it's time to go for a walk. Loretta goes on 2-8 mile runs with her mom...and still has energy for the day. She would be the ideal dog on a farm with a family.

💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜 "My name is Texas Ranger "Rango" and I'm here to say Y'all better fill out an application to adopt me 'cuz I'm a right good fit for a household who wants a loving and loyal and SMART companion like me! I'm 40 some lbs of Texas specialness with a taste for hanging out, and enjoying some quiet time as well as going on walks and hikes. I'm a dose of MEDIUM ENERGY and get playful zoomies but I'm a CHAMP at kenneling up, walking on leash and just hanging around being your bestie. I am potty trained and kennel trained, not picky about treats or food but I may do best with someone who lives in a quiet neighborhood or in the country. I'll be a great family pet but will need continued socialization meeting new people as I'm still adjusting to all the changes I've gone through since being rescued. I'm good w other young/playful dogs and have good abilities with dogs my age and size but I can also be good as an only dog who has dog friends. I was exposed to goats, chickens and cats in Texas and was fine around them outdoors but bear in mind that dogs can behave differently in different environments and I've not lived with cats indoors so we'd need to try an indoor cat test for interested parties. I'm a good-sized fella but I'm not jumpy or exuberant. I'm quite well-mannered and a gentlemen. I'm being fostered in Milwaukie, Oregon and am ready to meet my furever family or person! Have a great day y'all hear?" !!! Streetsavvydogrescue.org Text 971-303-9415 for more information! 💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗💜💗

Story
Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we are over capacity and short staffed, we try to get back to everyone quickly, it may be 4-5 days. Meet Mason, he came to us in 2022 as a stray. He was adopted shortly after arriving as he is such a good boy. Mason was having a tough time adjusting to a toddler and after a almost a year of trying to make it work, his adopters posted him to be re-homed, through the re-homing site they found his old owner, who also said he doesn't want to be around children and is scared of some men. Mason is a well trained dog, he needs a home with children over age 14yrs, he is cautious of men, specially men who are loud, he does very well with our two guys here. He needs a home with someone who understands heeler behavior, he loves to play fetch for short periods, specially now that he has lost the some weight, he would love a quiet home, loves calm female dogs, he has no issues with woman. He just needs someone who understands him, he is a very sweet boy. My adoption fee is $100 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. How many humans and ages live in your home? Male/female for adults? 3. How many animals, types and male/female for dogs? 4. Do you have the patience to allow Mason to get comfortable with you? 5. He needs an owner who can take him on walks and play chase, is this something you can do?
