Story
Semper's best fit home would have the following: 1. A doggie friend who likes to play and pal around. Semper often follows the lead of other dogs. 2. Patient adopters willing to help build his confidence outside the home on walks and seeing/experiencing new things. Semper is nervous on walks but does pretty well with a dog friend along. Semper is a shy guy initially but warms up within a day 3. A fenced yard for play and zoomies. Semper is an older puppy that was rescued out of Beavercreek, Oregon. He was part of an accidental litter and his owner's reached out to us for help. The litter had been living in a chicken coop on some rural property. We jumped in to help the situation and rescue Semper and his litter mates. - Date of birth: 1/26/24 - Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog/Husky mix - 42 pounds at 7 months old and likely will top out at about 45-ish pounds but we cannot guarantee size at maturity. - He is a snuggly, affectionate sponge of a puppy who just wants love and to be included in a family. He has lived outside most of his life but is quickly learning how good it is to live indoors in a foster home. - Hasn't had any potty accidents in foster so far and is kept on a potty schedule and goes potty right away when you take him outside and ask him to go. - Nervous but does walk on leash with some encouragement and gentle guidance. Everything is new to him on walks so he hesitates and just wants to look at things. He will benefit from gradual exposure and confidence building. Semper does get spooked by sudden noises or movements while out on walks but this is getting better. - Excellent in his crate and goes in there readily to nap. Sleeps in his crate at night. - Fostered with other dogs and is playful and loves having a buddy - Loves toys and food puzzles! - We have not seen him with cats but two of his littermates are fostered with cats and they have done well. We think with a thoughtful and structured introduction, Semper could do ok with a cat also. - We have not seen him with kids but he is very sweet so we think he would be fine with kids ages 7+ Semper is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and we will cover his neuter surgery at our SW Portland veterinary clinic partner September 19th. His adopter would need to get him to that appointment after adoption. His adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at on of our partner veterinary clinics in Portland, Tualatin, Oregon City or Milwaukie. $150 adoption fee Semper's adoption fee is lower than our normal adoption fee in the hopes that his adopter will invest in working with a trainer to help build his confidence more. Fostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT SEMPER ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Meet sweet puppy boy Cody, a 9 months old happy go lucky puppy boy who was recently rescued right before euthanasia for space from a highkill shelter. Such a great save! Cody is a gem, who loves people and kids, super friendly with other dogs, already knows how to sit, and give paw! He amazingly walks well on leash, quite calm and chill for his age! He’s super friendly and loving, so perfect in many ways, would love to enjoy an active family to go on hikes. He’s going to make someone very happy. He’s been neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. He is ready for you ! Are you ready for his unconditional love? Please contact us today! Currently being cared in Grass Valley, Northern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and other close by states, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.
