Story
Anna is a sweet senior gal with some good years left on her! Her owner passed away last year and then she was a stray from July - November 2025 until she was trapped by our rescue partner in California. Anna is so happy to be back in a cozy home and enjoying the cushy life of an indoor dog again. If you are looking for an easy going companion who is low impact and a pleasure to be around, Anna could be your girl. - Approximate date of birth is April 2017 making her just coming up on 9 years young - Possibly a McNab Collie or Border Collie mix - Medium to lower energy and happy to be with you - Perfect potty habits in foster so far - Good with other dogs and fostered with a small, male senior dog. She loves to play with other dogs and still has some speediness to offer! - She met a cat outside and was a little interested. We do not know how she would do with cats in the home. We have videos of her meeting an outside cat. It might just be safest to say no cats or cat workable with a dog savvy cat and an adopter willing to do a slow intro. - She met children in her foster home and was appropriate. She may appreciate older kids ages 10+ but is not adverse meeting younger kids. - Thankful for a soft bed, hang out time and naps but also likes to explore the property at her foster home and help with barn chores. - Good in her crate and can relax in it. - Can be shy at first with new people but loves butt scratches and quickly warms up. We have not seen her with kids but imagine she would be fine with gentle children. Anna is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $150 adoption fee Fostered in Oregon City, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT ANNA ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. But outside the kennel, Montana’s true personality shines—sweet, playful, and full of love. Montana will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her time to decompress and build trus ##2599337##

✨3 YO Border Collie Mix ✨60 lbs ✨Up to date on shots ✨Neutered ✨Potty trained ✨Crate trained ✨Okay home alone during the work day ❌Not tested with cats ⚠️Slow intros with well mannered dogs Help us find Buster his forever home! This loveable, silly dog had a rough time for the past 6 months and has been with us as a foster since early January. We pulled him with the help of BAMM Rescue from Stanislaus Animal Shelter after his SOS video showed up on my social media. Buster was confiscated as evidence in an animal cruelty case against his previous owner. The case was dropped due to ‘lack of evidence.’ Buster endured a stab wound under their care and ended up stuck in the shelter for 5 months while the legal system worked it out. Then he was moved to the euthanasia list. We wanted to help get him another chance. We have no information about the case or previous owners. They cared enough about him to potty train him and teach basic obedience. The prolonged time in the shelter was very hard on him- and it’s taken some time for his mind to finally settle down and feel safe. We’ve got him in a good routine and he’s growing into a pretty well mannered boy- but he does have some work ahead of him. He’s very affectionate and just wants all the pets and cuddles. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite! He’s been great when we go to work in his dog-proofed area. He’s crate trained and potty trained- he hasn’t had any accidents in his area while we’re out for 8-9 hours. He also walks nicely on leash for a high energy breed. We use the gentle leader and he responds very well to it. He does get excited around other dogs. Once Buster has had his regular exercise he settles to his place very well. Maintaining firm boundaries with him is necessary, he’s a confident, curious boy. He’s been a good listener when we tell him to settle. He’d thrive in a household that can provide that routine and calm, firm leadership. A home that can continue to work on his training would be best.
