This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Are you in the market for a new walking buddy with a snuggly side? Kip is about a year old, around 30 pounds, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and doing great in her apartment life. She doesn't bark and is quiet in her crate waiting for her people to come home. She's a bit shy when meeting new folks, but she warms up once she knows she is safe. She's got brains as well as looks. She's learned sit, down, paw, fetch, and even drop it on cue. And she walks beautifully on a leash. She's great with other dogs and currently lives with a cat with no issues. She does have that classic herding instinct, so someone who understands that would be great. But, if you're looking for a sweet companion to share walks, a little fetch and some couch snuggles, Kip might be your girl. Kip is located in Austin but you can meet her over a video call. We think she is going to be a great farm dog as she follows her foster mom everywhere and isn't much interested in the chickens, goat, or ducks. Artemis was born on July 5. Mom is a red heeler and dad a Border Collie. When considering adopting a herding breed, please research the breed characteristics. Artemis will need adoptive parents committed to her training and satisfying her energy needs to help her become the perfect adult dog. Artemis is being fostered in Ridgefield, Washington. Artemis has been wormed, microchipped, and the first set of vaccinations. The adoption fee is $400. Alder is basically the dog version of an introvert. Quiet, gentle, low-key, and completely content doing his own thing, Alder is one of the easiest and lowest-maintenance dogs I have ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is around a year old and was originally labeled as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was younger and still looked like a generic puppy. But now that he is older, it is very obvious that he is not a pittie and instead looks much more like a Border Collie mix. Alder is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and also great with cats. He peacefully coexists with everyone but honestly doesn’t care much about joining the chaos or playing constantly. He prefers to quietly exist nearby and observe the world at his own pace. He is shy and hesitant with new people at first, but there is not an ounce of aggression in him. He is simply a soft, sensitive dog who takes a little time to feel comfortable. Once he settles in, Alder is incredibly easy to live with. He is not demanding, not hyper, not loud, and not needy. He is the type of dog who quietly becomes part of your daily life without bringing chaos into it. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, quiet, low-maintenance companion who does not need constant stimulation or activity to be happy. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back.
