Story
Meet Anubis, a handsome boy who loves a good game of tug-of-war, fetch, and then-get ready-the zoomies! Anubis is a curious observer- he loves gazing out the window and keeping tabs on the neighborhood happenings. He's crate savvy and his previous home allowed him to go in and out of this safe space as he pleased. Volunteers tell us that Anubis likes to lead the way when out exploring, but if they stop walking, he'll return to their side and responds well to requests for "sit" and "down" -- and loves treats tossed on the ground!Anubis would thrive with an active adopter who can match his playful energy and provide him with structure, love, and a spot by the window. Anubis objects to sharing food and toys with people and other animals so will only be adopted to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age. Story
I’m Spuds, a deaf 5 year old male Boxer mix. I’m sweet and squishy, a bit shy on walks for now, love meeting people and getting treats, nail the whole “tongue out Tuesday” vibe! I make for a handsome cowboy, or dress fancy in a bow tie when the occasion calls for it. I’m a sweet gentleman, really attach to people, and sit very nicely for treats. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
I’m Reggie, a 7 year old male Boxer.  My volunteer says:  Reggie is here, and here’s our first impressions. He’s a beautiful boy with so much enthusiasm, he loves toys, walks, and snuggles, potty trained and slept quietly in the crate all night, settles quickly and is a great working companion. He’s friendly for dog greetings but for now prefers his food, stuff and people all to himself (so slow intros / your one and only dog may be best). ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
Well, hello. So glad you stopped by. I’m Rockwell, by the way. A little bashful at first, but my PR lady says I gotta toot that horn a little more. So, here goes… I’m as handsome as they come, says everybody I meet. Soulful stripes, wise eyes, a little gray around the mug as I wait, wait, wait to meet my person. While I’m hanging with my incredible foster family, I know you’re out there, somewhere, searching for just me. Come closer! I’m here! It’s me, Rockwell, your new one and only. #itsjustlunch #untilwefallinlove Curious about my name, I poked around ancestry.com and discovered Norman Rockwell. While I’m thinking we’re not related, I do love his paintings of families by the fireplace, loyal dogs at their feet. No need for the fireplace, mind you. You had me at lie at your feet. I could also lie on them, if you prefer? #cuddlebug #rockwell #timeforustosettledown I’m a brainy sort who loves puzzles, especially those involving food. If that Sunday crossword were made of treats, I’d surely make the front page. I also love a good road trip, wind in my ears, or cuddling up with a warm mug of chai, you by my side. Then, after a good nap, I’m ready to romp in those fall leaves (If only I could rake them for you.)  In addition to mental exercise, I like to stay fit by rolling around the yard, going for a run, or taking a nice walk together ( I do love our walks.) And I adore playing with tennis balls–-greatest inventions of all time.  Hey, do you like belly rubs? Really!? Me too! One of the best things known to pup-kind. Fun fact: belly rubs are great for said dog (of course!), but they also boost the mood of the human giving them. (Hint, hint.) You rub my belly, I rest my head on yours…sigh. Time for a new Rockwell painting.    First belly rub on me, Rockwell ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
I'm Remi, a 10 year old female Boxer mix. I am so much fun and enjoy playing. I am cat, kid, and dog friendly! My foster adds: Remi is doing great - she’s independent, enjoys walks (wants to stop and sniff a lot, but does not pull or react), full of butt wiggles, boxer bends and bouncing - especially when someone arrives home, plays with her canine foster brother inside (prefers calm play over rough and tumble), makes a great WFH coworker, a really relaxed and sweet girl who enjoys lots of lounging and naps. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
