Volunteers tell us that Anubis likes to lead the way when out exploring, but if they stop walking, he'll return to their side and responds well to requests for "sit" and "down" -- and loves treats tossed on the ground!Anubis would thrive with an active adopter who can match his playful energy and provide him with structure, love, and a spot by the window. Anubis objects to sharing food and toys with people and other animals so will only be adopted to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age. He has a serious look and intense gaze, but personality-wise he is gentle, not that serious and loves to play. He is better with female dogs and a bit dominant with the male dogs. Bonded with Hutla, always goes to her kennel to check on her and get her out to play. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Was successfully treated for heartworm. Adoption fee $325. Say hi to Rae! This spunky "puppy" is about 1.5 yo (guesstimate bd 3/13/24) with lots of fun puppy energy. Her first home in life was rough, and she didn't get a chance to be the funny, happy dog that she is. She loves walks, hikes, and car rides and is doing better on a leash all the time. She gets along great with other dogs and loves living with her doggy foster sister. She is great with kids too!  Rae is an all-around sweet, loyal, and funny dog.
