Story
Hi, my name is Bella 💗 I’m a sweet, shy girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. I may be timid at first, but once I feel comfortable, I show my loving and loyal heart. I do best in a calm, patient home where I can move at my own pace and build trust slowly. Soft voices, cozy naps, and kind humans mean everything to me. I’m an older gal with lots of love to give, and I’m hoping for someone who sees past my shyness and gives me the chance I deserve. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will quietly steal your heart, I might be your girl. 🐾

It absolutely breaks my heart but after a lot of thought, training efforts, and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to rehome Maple. For the past 3 years, our dogs were the best of friends. Unfortunately, things have changed in the past few months, and despite time and training, they have now gotten into 3 very serious fights with each other. At this point, we have to put everyone’s safety and wellbeing first.Maple is a sweet, affectionate, cuddle loving dog who loves every human she meets! She loves to play fetch and walks great on leash. She will be a friend for lifeMaple has shown aggression toward our other dog Bella, but has historically gotten along with dogs her whole life. She has two best friends that she hangs out with regularly. We believe she would do best as the only pet in a loving household where she can thrive and get the attention she deserve. This is not a decision we made lightly, and we are committed to finding the right fit — not just the fastest one.

Story
Well, hello. So glad you stopped by. I’m Rockwell, by the way. A little bashful at first, but my PR lady says I gotta toot that horn a little more. So, here goes… I’m as handsome as they come, says everybody I meet. Soulful stripes, wise eyes, a little gray around the mug as I wait, wait, wait to meet my person. While I’m hanging with my incredible foster family, I know you’re out there, somewhere, searching for just me. Come closer! I’m here! It’s me, Rockwell, your new one and only. #itsjustlunch #untilwefallinlove Curious about my name, I poked around ancestry.com and discovered Norman Rockwell. While I’m thinking we’re not related, I do love his paintings of families by the fireplace, loyal dogs at their feet. No need for the fireplace, mind you. You had me at lie at your feet. I could also lie on them, if you prefer? #cuddlebug #rockwell #timeforustosettledown I’m a brainy sort who loves puzzles, especially those involving food. If that Sunday crossword were made of treats, I’d surely make the front page. I also love a good road trip, wind in my ears, or cuddling up with a warm mug of chai, you by my side. Then, after a good nap, I’m ready to romp in those fall leaves (If only I could rake them for you.)  In addition to mental exercise, I like to stay fit by rolling around the yard, going for a run, or taking a nice walk together ( I do love our walks.) And I adore playing with tennis balls–-greatest inventions of all time.  Hey, do you like belly rubs? Really!? Me too! One of the best things known to pup-kind. Fun fact: belly rubs are great for said dog (of course!), but they also boost the mood of the human giving them. (Hint, hint.) You rub my belly, I rest my head on yours…sigh. Time for a new Rockwell painting.    First belly rub on me, Rockwell ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
How are you? I'm Reggie, a 7-year-old Brindle boxer boy, as true to the breed as they come. Chase my nub even though I’ll never catch it? Yes, please. Look at you exxpecantly for whatever awesome thing you’re gonna do next? Sign me up! Roll around on the grass with my legs in the air? Si. Chase a ball and meanmug a squirrel, then get distracted, then run back and lean into you for treat and/or butt scratch? What more could a pup want?   If you work from home, I can help! Not great at filing, but I’ll make you laugh during Zoom calls. I’ll snuggle at your feet and lay in the sunlight, too. If you leave the house to bring home my bacon, that’s OK, too, My toys and I can amuse myself, and I’m good in a crate. Besides, boxers need their rest. I nap with the best of them. Friendly with ‘out and about’ dog greetings, I do prefer slow intros to other pups. If your household’s so inclined, I’d make an excellent ‘only’ four-legged. Kids, people, new and old friends…my natural enthusiasm truly shines.   Let’s play, snuggle, chase, suntan, and smile together forever.    Hopefully yours,  Reggie ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
Say hello to Sage!!  If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts beauty, brains, and a fresh start story you’ll want to be part of… Sage might just be your girl. This stunning 2-year-old tawny pit bull mix found herself wandering the streets of a small town before being brought into a local vet clinic. When they tracked down her owner, he was in was in the clink and unable to care for her — but thankfully, he made the right call and surrendered her so she could get the second chance she deserves. We’ve partnered with this amazing vet clinic many times because they never turn away an animal in need. They stepped up without hesitation when Sage needed someone. Right now, Sage is safe and being cared for there while she waits for a foster or forever home. And here’s what we’re learning about her… Sage LOVES people. All people. Big, small, tiny humans included. She’s affectionate, social, and genuinely enjoys being around her humans. Sage has also been friendly and playful with dogs at the clinic too! We will have some videos soon! She keeps her kennel perfectly clean, which tells us she likely has some house manners already. Now let’s talk personality — because Sage is a smart cookie. She came to us with basically zero training, but she’s already picking things up quickly. She’s learning leash manners, working on “sit,” and making progress every day. She’s eager… sometimes a little too eager… especially when treats are involved (we’re working on taking them gently instead of gobling them down. She has shown zero human aggression. We can handle her food, take toys or Kongs away, and she remains relaxed and trusting. That says a lot about her heart. Sage is going to thrive with someone who will continue her training, give her structure, and help her channel all that brainpower and enthusiasm into being the amazing dog we know she can be. Right now, what she needs most is a chance — a foster, or better yet, a forever home where she can finally exhale. If you’ve got a soft spot for underdogs (literally and figuratively), Sage is waiting for you. Sage weighs around 50 pounds. If you would like to adopt/foster please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2715776##

Story
Meet Spud At just 10–12 months old and around 50 pounds, Spud is basically still a puppy wrapped in a ridiculously handsome brindle-and-white coat. Seriously… this boy is STUNNING. But as good-looking as he is, it’s his joyful personality that completely steals the show. If there is a happier dog out there, we honestly can’t imagine it. Spud loves people, loves dogs, and loves every form of affection and attention available. Belly rubs? Yes please. Ear scratches? Absolutely. Being told he’s handsome? Essential daily business. He is affectionate, social, trusting, and so eager to connect with the world around him. His tail seems to have only two settings: wagging and turbo wagging. One of the most remarkable things about Spud is how gentle and tolerant he is. He calmly allowed ticks to be removed from his body without complaint. You can handle every inch of him, check his teeth, touch his food — he responds with nothing but easygoing trust and sweet natured patience. Spud does have an energetic play style We suspect he may never have really had the chance to simply be a carefree puppy and PLAY before now. He’s making up for lost time with enthusiasm, joy, and some delightfully goofy energy. What Spud needs now is a family who will continue showing him the good life — love , guidance , adventure , structure , and plenty of playtime . In return, he’ll give you nonstop smiles, loyal companionship, endless pittie wiggles, and enough happy energy to brighten even the hardest days. Spud’s story could have ended very differently. He was found wandering down the middle of a rural two-lane highway alongside his friend Foxy , somehow avoiding speeding cars and tragedy. But the moment his rescuers stopped, Spud made it clear exactly who he is — a happy, loving, people-adoring goofball. He trotted right up to them with his tail wagging and that classic pittie wiggle that says, “Hi! I already love you.” If you would like to adopt Spud, please apply at: https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $300 includes neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and microchip. ##2730297##
