Gypsy was a stray. A man in Raymond, Mississippi found her and took her to the pound. They were going to euthanize her, and he took her home. She did not like his cats, so he surrendered her to us. She LOVES to run and play, and she needs a lot of exercise. She does good with most all dogs, but she is shy when she meets new people. Gypsy does not like cats! Once she warms up to people, she just wants to give kisses! Her ideal home would be a person or family that has a large yard for her to run and play in. She would be the best dog to do activities with or just cuddle with on the couch. She should be fine in a large, fenced yard. She can be hyper at times but settles down nicely inside with a chew toy. Hi, my name is Tatum. Aren’t I a handsome guy? I am the goodest boy too and I am looking for the best forever family to find me. I hope it is yours. TATUM IS URGENT AS HIS FOSTER MOTHER HAS HEALTH ISSUES AND WANTS TO MAKE SURE HE GETS TO HIS FOREVER FAMILY SOON. Tatum has a very sad story. His first people apparently dumped him off in a neighborhood way away from home and the people there were not too happy about it. They abused him and even shot him several times but since he had nowhere to go, he stayed there until a good Samaritan called the rescue. He was so frightened of people that it took almost two hours to convince him to get into the car. He was hungry, dirty and in so much pain that he finally got in the car and headed to a better life. Tatum has made so much progress! He is a very happy dog, loves people and craves attention. He adores hiking, walks and best of all – car rides! He is a bit protective of his people but once he is introduced to new people, he pretty much loves everyone. So far he has shown himself to be good with kids but due to his size we would prefer a home with older kids. He is also good with other dogs if they are introduced slowly. He walks great on a leash, knows some commands. He can be high energy and jumps a bit but respects structure and is a quick learner. Tatum's is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention and Brevecto. This is much too great a dog to not have his own family. Transport may be available to your area in the northeast or Great Lakes areas. We use Rescue riders for our transport needs because they are amazing with our pups! Meet Thumper! This little guy is about 40 lbs of playful and fun energy. He’s sweet and good with people and other dogs. He’s about 2.5 years old and is a mixed breed but a really cool Mixed breed. I mean look at his cute ears. He’s adorable. He’s already crate trained and house trained. NO CATS. He is not fond of cats. Probably won’t do well with smaller rodent type animals either. He will scream SQUIRREL! And the rest is history. Haha. He would do well with children over the age of 10 bc he’s very playful and may knock smaller children down during playtime. This sweetheart was found wondering on the side of a road and we aren't sure why! She is an amazing dog!! She gets along with all dogs and loves playing with puppies. She is housetrained with a doggy door and does well on a leash. She learns commands fairly quickly and is just wonderful!! She is our meet and greet dog who is just a happy baby. She does get attached to “her person” and will follow them everywhere but we feel it's because she was dumped. we aren't sure if she's been around cats but can learn those rules. She has the Boxer play, long legs and sounds like she's gonna kill something, but it's all bluster. She has another Boxer she loves to play with and they go rounds together. She likes kids and isn't too shy of strangers. She's just a great, great dog and we want her to find her perfect family. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) He is a sweet playful pup that has done great with small and large dogs. He is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and sticks to chew on. Ladies and gents, meet Sarge! Laying on the couch and taking a dip in the pool are some of his favorite activities, but he won't turn down a walk or a run or a toy he can play with! Sarge is around a year old and a Boxer mix.  He weighs about 45 lbs. he is fully housebroken and does great if he needs to be left alone. Ryder was born to an unexpected litter of a Plainfield Subdivision Residence. His siblings were rehomed and he lived with his birth mother and Plainfield family for 6 months until the residence has a medical emergency and was no longer fit to care for him. He was fostered in a different Plainfield residence down the street for 4 months while the original owner was hopeful to recover. This foster home has 2 children (ages 10 and 11) and 2 dogs (male:9, female:3) and came to love Ryder. Due to tensions between Ryder and the existing male dog in the house, Ryder is now being fostered in a home where he is an only pet. Ryder is high-energy and very lovable. He can enjoy playing fetch or tug for hours, and then will snuggle up and cuddle for hours more. He plays well with kids and meets strangers nicely. He loves being challenged to learn new commands and enjoys showing off what he knows (sit, stay, wait, drop-it, come, down, off, and more).
