Age/Birthdate: 09/12/2022 • Current Weight: 54lbs • Breed Guess: Pittie mix • Fully Vetted: Yes • Adoption fee: $350 Temperament with: Dogs: Great! Cats: Likes to chase the kitties and would do best in a home without cats Children list specific ages: Strangers: Nervous and will need slow introductions Training Needs: Crate Trained: Unknown, she is not crated while left home alone Potty Trained: Yes Peyton is a PRETTY Pittie mix weighing in around 55 pounds at about 3.5 years old! Sadly, it seems like Peyton wasn’t shown much love prior to rescue, and as a result she can be quite shy and nervous around new people or when she’s in new situations. This sweet girl will need a very patient family who’s willing to give her the time and space she needs to fully decompress. With consistency, gentleness, and a calm environment, Peyton will continue to blossom into the loving, trusting dog we know she can be! Once Peyton does open up, she is a LOVE BUG and highly affectionate! One of her favorite things to do is cuddle and smother her favorite people on kisses! As if she could get any sweeter, she is GREAT with other dogs and has no food, toy, OR water aggression towards people OR other dogs! She really opens up when other dogs are around to play with so having another furbaby in the home might help her to warm up in her future family! Peyton is still learning what car rides are so be sure to buckle her in while on rides! While Peyton is still learning about car rides, there is one thing she does know: how to keep all four paws on the ground! Peyton is GREAT about not jumping on people, which is such a nice quality, especially for families or anyone who prefers a polite greeter. She’s gentle, respectful, and always tries her best to make a good impression! She thrives in a calm, predictable environment and would love a family who understands that slow and steady is the key to her heart. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, dog-friendly companion who just needs a little extra patience to feel safe, Peyton may be your perfect match! Once she trusts you, her loyalty and love are unmatched! This beautiful girl is so deserving of a forever home where she can continue to grow, feel secure, and finally experience the love she’s always needed. Peyton is ready—she just needs someone willing to take that first step with her! If you're interested in meeting pretty Peyton, please fill out the application below! www.rubywhiskers.org/adopt Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval. This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason. Breed and Age Information: Unless the puppy was born in our care, we cannot guarantee the breed or age. Breed and age estimates are based on veterinary advice, shelter records, physical appearance, and information provided by previous owners. The adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue) Microchip Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine Bordetella vaccine 4DX test (Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease) General wellness care, including deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention Your adoption fee also helps support medical care for other rescue animals, including heartworm treatments, surgeries, and emergency care.

I’m Bruce. Goofy, Hungry, and Ready to Be Your Best Decision.I'm currently in California. My bags are packed, I’m ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I’ll travel to you! I’m the kind of dog who makes you laugh without trying. Big smile. Silly energy. A little clumsy in the best way. I’ve got that Boxer vibe in me, or at least that goofy charm that makes people say it. I’m friendly. I’m sweet. I like people. I’m the dog who walks into a room like we’re already friends. Let’s get one thing out of the way. I love food. A lot. Meals, treats, snacks, crumbs. If it’s edible, I’m interested. It makes training easy though. You’ve got snacks, I’ve got focus. I’m a strong boy too. Not out of control, just solid. I need someone who’s comfortable handling a dog with some muscle. I’ll do great with structure, guidance, and regular exercise. My skin looks pretty good now, but I may have had some irritation in the past, maybe fleas or something that needed time to heal. It’s not slowing me down. I just might need someone who keeps an eye on it and stays on top of care. I don’t come with a list of issues. I come with personality. I come with love. I come with a goofy face that makes bad days better. I’m Bruce.Bring the snacks. I’ll bring the fun. ##2650784##

Story
I’m not rude. I’m cautious. There’s a difference. Everybody else comes barreling through life like they’ve never had a bad day. Me? I like to think things through first. I watch. I study people. I make sure you’re safe before I hand over my tiny little boxer-pittie heart. But once you’re in?Oh, I’m IN. Then I’m following you around. Sitting by your feet. Sneaking little kisses when nobody’s looking. Acting like I never doubted you for a second. I’m 4 months old and part of Maggie’s miracle crew. Our mom was rescued pregnant and exhausted, carrying nine puppies and hoping somebody would help her. Lucky for us, somebody did. Now I’m learning how to be a puppy instead of a survival story. I really love the big dogs in my foster home. I think they’re fascinating. I trail after them like a tiny intern trying to learn the ropes. I’m friendly with everybody once I settle in, but I’m not the cannonball puppy of the group. I’ve got a softer, thoughtful side. Good with kids. Good with dogs. Sweet once you earn me. I’m Strawberry.A little guarded.A little sensitive.A really good girl. ##2698001##

Story
You know those quiet kids in school who sat in the back and secretly had the sweetest hearts? That’s me. I’m Honeyberry. Tiny boxer-pittie mix. Four months old. Professional observer of human nonsense. I take longer to warm up than my siblings. New people make me nervous at first. Loud things? Weird things? Fast hands? Yeah, I’d rather not. But if you give me patience instead of pressure, something really nice happens. I start to trust you. Then suddenly I’m leaning into your hand for pets. Following you room to room. Looking at you like maybe the world isn’t such a scary place after all. My mom Maggie got lucky. Somebody saved her before she had all nine of us puppies out in the world alone. So now I’m learning what safety feels like instead of struggling to survive. I’m good with dogs. Good with kids. I just need people who understand that softer souls sometimes bloom slower. And honestly? Those are usually the best dogs. ##2698003##

Story
While my siblings are out making questionable life choices, I’m over here being emotionally available. Somebody has to balance this family out. I’m Raspberry. Three months old. Boxer-pittie mix. Sweet little cuddlebug with excellent people skills. I’m more laid back than most of my siblings. I still play and bounce around like a puppy, but I really love the quieter moments too. Cuddling on the couch?Perfect. Playing with kids?Love it. Following you around the house like your tiny pink-nosed assistant? Also perfect. I’ve got a really gentle nature. Easy to love. Easy to be around. The kind of puppy who settles into your lap and suddenly feels like she’s always belonged there. My mom Maggie was rescued before she gave birth to all nine of us puppies, and because somebody helped her, I got to start life safe and loved. Now I’m ready for the next part. Maybe with you. ##2698000##

Story
Gracie Lou came to us when her previous owner was moving out of state and was unable to bring her along. While saying goodbye to her family was difficult, Gracie Lou is ready to find a new forever home where she can be cherished and loved. One of the first things you'll notice about Gracie Lou is her adorable greeting. When she sees someone she likes, her whole body wiggles with excitement, often with a favorite toy proudly carried in her mouth. It's impossible not to smile when she comes bouncing over to say hello! Gracie Lou previously lived with both dogs and cats and has experience sharing her home with other furry companions. She is a playful young dog who still enjoys having fun, but she also has a sweet, affectionate side and loves spending time with her people. Like many dogs experiencing big life changes, Gracie Lou can sometimes be a little anxious. She would do best with a patient, understanding family that can offer reassurance and help her feel safe when she's uncertain. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with happy butt wiggles, bring you her favorite toy, and fill your days with love and laughter, Gracie Lou may be the perfect match!

Story
Hi! My name is Fergie. I'm just a big ole love bug! Yup! That's me! I'm a 1-1/2 year-old, Boxer Bully mix with reddish color fur, a white splotch on my face and around my neck down my chest, four white paws, a paintbrush tail with a white tip, and a pink muzzle. Even though I'm around 50 pounds, I believe I am definitely a lapdog. I'm very sweet and gentle, and I just love people!  I love running around the yard, playing with my canine siblings and human kiddos, and chewing bones. But....my favorite activity is cuddling with humans on the couch! Oh, and I love napping and treats too. I do well walking on a leash, am crate trained, and am housebroken. By the way, my foster Mom says I am also a good watch dog because I bark when there is someone or something outside. I sleep well at night with no accidents and go in my crate on command during the day while my foster mom's at work. I love sleeping on the bed curled up with my canine sisters and humans.  So a really cool thing is that I am learning how to ring a bell to let my foster Mom know I need to go outside. I already know sit and I'm working on the command off. Off is a little hard for me, because I get so excited when I meet someone new, but I almost have it down. I'm pretty good at coming when I'm called too, but sometimes I get distracted. Would you like to share a forever home with lots of cuddles and sloppy dog kisses? Then, I'm your girl! I hope I get to meet you soon! Because Fergie-Faye does great with other dogs of many sizes, we are seeking an adopter with another playful dog in the home. Fergie has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped; she is housebroken and crate trained. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST from acaringplace@comcast.net. A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. We are always in search of fosters care providers. If you are one of those special people willing to open your heart and home to an animal in need and would like to receive information on how you can foster an animal, please contact us.     July 2, 2026, 4:29 pm

Story
Age/Birthdate: 01/30/2022 • Weight: 70lbs• Breed Guess: Pittie mix • Fully Vetted: Yes • Adoption fee: Has been generously sponsored by her foster family! Temperament with: Dogs: Prefers to be an only dog in home. Cats: Not a fan of kitties Children list specific ages: She lives with kiddos but would probably do best with teenagers or in an all adult home! Strangers: She is great with women but she can be weary of men Training Needs: Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Chelsea is a SPIRITED Pittie mix weighing in around 70 pounds at just under 4 years old! She LOVES her toys and can be full of energy during playtime and she’s a BIG fan of car rides and walks! While she used to be afraid of water, she’s gotten much better with baths through diligent work with her foster family! This smart girl REALLY loves treats and will happily work for them making training easy! Speaking of being smart, she does knows how to open push-down door handles- be impressed AND be ready to child-lock your doors lol! She enjoys lounging on soft beds and is a wonderful cuddle buddy at night, often nudging your hand or lifting your arm with her nose to ask for more love which is the sweetest thing ever! Her personality is a fun mix of goofy, moody, and affectionate! She doesn’t bark much and usually only speaks up when she’s excited or when she feels the need to step in if the kids start arguing (she's the bossman around here lol)! She can get overly excited during play, so hands should stay away from her mouth (she is a mouthy gal), and she does best with calm, structured interactions! Regardless of her bossman front she puts on, she can be a scaredy baby as thunderstorms can scare her, but she finds comfort in being close to her trusted people! Chelsea is also a reactive dog who has made steady progress with the right structure and tools! She now walks well on a leash, especially with a prong collar, as she’s surprisingly strong for her size. Without it, she can be difficult to walk alongside other dogs. She has a history of reacting to the male dogs in her home, so careful management is important. She also eats separately from the other dogs and has shown food-related growling before, though she has improved as her trust grows! Feeding her separately/in her crate is what's easiest for everyone- it keeps everyone, safe, happy, and well fed! Because of her sensitivities, Chelsea will thrive in an older teenager/adult-only home. She is fearful of men and teenage boys and can become growly if startled/their is rambunctious behavior going on (unpredictable to her), although she has made progress as she’s accepted pets from men while out on walks or in stores with proper introductions! It's clear that men haven't always treated this girl right and she so with a family of adults and older, calmer kids, she will bond deeply and show her sweetest side! Chelsea is incredibly smart, full of personality, and loyal once she trusts you! She’s not destructive, does well free-roaming, and is crate trained when her family leaves. She’ll even use her paw to sneak a bone or counter surf if she thinks she can get away with it lol! Underneath all her quirks is a loving, snuggly dog who wants connection, structure, and a family who understands her. If you’re looking for a clever, cuddly, adventurous companion who will adore you with her whole heart, Chelsea just might be your girl. If you're interested in meeting spirited Chelsea, please fill out the application below! www.rubywhiskers.org/adopt Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval. Story
Age/Birthdate: 10/14/2022 • Current Weight: 53lbs • Breed Guess: Pittie mix • Fully Vetted: Yes • Adoption fee: $175 Any Medical or Special needs: None! Temperament with: Dogs: Lives with a few but needs VERY slow introductions Cats: Unknown Children list specific ages: Probably older kiddos as she likes to jump Strangers: Has never met a stranger and is very outgoing! Training Needs: Crate Trained: Yes and absolutely LOVES her crate! Potty Trained: Yes Kia is a low rider pittie (coming just up to knee height) who is ready to find her forever home! Kia spent 4 weeks in a board and train learning to trust other dogs and is now looking for her forever home! A generous donor has offered to provide a few training sessions for an adoptive family to continue to work with Kia to help transition her successfully into her new home! Kia knows sit, stay, place and a few other tricks! While in the board and train, she learned to completely ignore other dogs who are around her doing things such as eating food, playing with toys, running around her etc and she has done absolutely amazing! She also learned how to walk VERY well on the leash and is overall just SUCH a great and well rounded girl! If you're looking for a newly well trained pittie baby, Kia is your gal! Please note, she is a stubborn girl (she is EXTREMELY smart but stubborn lol) so she still needs someone who is willing to be the "boss" while training. While in the home environment, Kia is incredibly sweet and affectionate! She LOVES belly rubs and happily rolls over for affection once she feels comfortable! She’s a low-energy girl, and one walk a day easily meets her needs. Like many pitties, she can get excitable and may jump during happy moments (which she worked on heavily during the board and train and is hardly doing it anymore), but she settles down quite quickly and enjoys relaxing the rest of the time! Kia truly excels at downtime. She spends most of her day napping in a cozy bed or curled up in her crate, which is her safe space and her favorite place to be. She eagerly runs to her crate every chance she gets and is perfectly content snoozing the day away. Because of this, Kia is an excellent match for someone with long work hours, as she’s happy to relax and rest in her crate while you’re away. She enjoys car rides and will gladly hop in and out of the truck. Around the house, Kia is easygoing and trustworthy—she is not destructive, does not counter surf, and can be left out. Kia is good with other dogs but is more of a peacefully coexist type gal than one who likes to play! She would be happy in a home with an elderly furbaby who will happily/peacefully coexehist with her but she also has no problem being your one and only! She’s generally on the quiet side and does well during bath time! Kia offers quiet companionship, deep loyalty, and endless belly-rub moments. If you’re looking for a mellow companion who just wants a safe place to rest and be loved, Kia may be the perfect fit! If you're interested in meeting sweet Kia, please fill out the application below! https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33545/generic Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval. ##2729223## Peony is a gentle, sweet, and easygoing girl who is still learning that the world isn't such a big, scary place and she's already doing a wonderful job!! She is about 90% potty trained, with just a couple of accidents as she continues building a consistent routine, and she is very well on her way to mastering it!! In the home, Peony is an easy companion!! She is calm, quiet, and very comfortable in her crate, settling in nicely for both naps and overnight stays with no accidents!! She enjoys having her safe space and does wonderfully with downtime!! Peony is a bit nervous in new situations, but she tries her best and improves a little more every day!! In the car, she may feel unsure at first and prefers to curl up close for reassurance but she usually relaxes and falls asleep once she feels safe!! Baths aren't her favorite, but she handles them politely without panic or drama!! On leash, Peony is a dream no pulling, just a gentle pace!! If anything, she sometimes needs a little encouragement to keep moving as she is still building confidence in the outside world!! Walks are getting better every time as she learns that new sights and sounds are okay!! She is very respectful in the home with no aggression and a naturally submissive, easygoing temperament!! She may peek at the counter out of curiosity, but she knows her manners and is easily redirected!! Peony enjoys little bursts of play and energy, but at heart she is a true couch companion!! After a short walk or some gentle activity, she is happiest curling up beside her people for a long nap!! She enjoys chewing on appropriate toys, and with a bit of continued guidance, she will only get better!! She does great with other dogs and has shown herself to be social and easy in canine company!! She has not yet been tested with cats!! Peony would thrive in a calm, patient home that can help her continue building confidence through gentle routine, positive experiences, and reassurance!! She doesn't need a lot just someone she can trust and feel safe with as she blossoms!! Once she settles in, Peony's soft, loving personality truly shines!! She is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and becomes your constant, comforting shadow!! If you're looking for a low-key, affectionate companion who just needs a little encouragement to fully bloom, Peony may be your perfect match!
