Hello, My name is Broulee and I am as sweet as the dessert I’m named after! I’m a 2 year old boxer/lab mix, and certified goodest girl! Size: medium. (60 pounds with legs for days) Energy level: medium ( am equally happy to go for a walk or have a Netflix marathon on the couch. I do get rambunctious when I first get out of my crate). Good with kids: Yes! I love humans of all ages and sizes, but I would likely do best with kids age 5+ as I’m just a goofball who doesn’t realize her size and I am still learning that I don’t need to put my paws up on people to get attention. Good with dogs: Yes! I am dog friendly and currently live with three resident dogs. I also wouldn’t mind having all the attention to myself though. Good with cats: Unknown Crates: Yes, I go into my crate without complaint when my foster family leaves. I also sleep all night in the crate but I think I would be happy to sleep in bed if allowed. House-training: Yes, as long as I have a fenced yard to do my business in. I will not potty on a leash. Tricks: I know the sit command. I am smart and can surely learn more, but who needs tricks when you can dazzle with your good looks and world class cuddles! Leash: I am good on a leash and love walks. I am not a puller and I am not reactive. I have so much love to give and would love to be part of a forever family! If you’d like to meet me call Teri at 630-897-7454. My adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Meet Rudy 💙 Rudy is 5-6 years old and is a deeply affectionate, people-loving boy who thrives on closeness with his humans. He loves cuddling, being petted, and will happily sleep next to you at night. Wherever you go, Rudy is likely to follow — often carrying his favorite soothing toy in his mouth for comfort. He is good with other dogs, big and small. He is also good with little kids. Rudy knows basic commands and is fully housebroken, which makes settling into a new home much easier. He enjoys playtime, especially tug-of-war, and he takes his toy destruction job very seriously (squeaker toys beware!). He walks well on leash and does best wearing a harness, ideally a front-clip harness. He may pull a little and can bark when he sees people out on walks, but he recovers quickly and continues on. This behavior appears to be excitement or uncertainty rather than aggression, and with consistency, patience, and positive training, it continues to improve. Rudy is not a fan of being confined away from his people. He will voluntarily rest in his crate when it’s open and his human is nearby, but being crated while left alone is stressful for him. He would do best in a home that understands this and is willing to help him gradually build confidence with alone time. With stability, routine, and love, Rudy truly shines. He is a cuddly, loyal companion who bonds deeply and brings a lot of joy to those around him. He’s looking for a patient, loving home that will help him continue to grow into the amazing dog he already is. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Gracie Lou came to us when her previous owner was moving out of state and was unable to bring her along. While saying goodbye to her family was difficult, Gracie Lou is ready to find a new forever home where she can be cherished and loved. One of the first things you'll notice about Gracie Lou is her adorable greeting. When she sees someone she likes, her whole body wiggles with excitement, often with a favorite toy proudly carried in her mouth. It's impossible not to smile when she comes bouncing over to say hello! Gracie Lou previously lived with both dogs and cats and has experience sharing her home with other furry companions. She is a playful young dog who still enjoys having fun, but she also has a sweet, affectionate side and loves spending time with her people. Like many dogs experiencing big life changes, Gracie Lou can sometimes be a little anxious. She would do best with a patient, understanding family that can offer reassurance and help her feel safe when she's uncertain. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with happy butt wiggles, bring you her favorite toy, and fill your days with love and laughter, Gracie Lou may be the perfect match!

Story
I’m Bruce. Goofy, Hungry, and Ready to Be Your Best Decision.I'm currently in California. My bags are packed, I’m ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I’ll travel to you! I’m the kind of dog who makes you laugh without trying. Big smile. Silly energy. A little clumsy in the best way. I’ve got that Boxer vibe in me, or at least that goofy charm that makes people say it. I’m friendly. I’m sweet. I like people. I’m the dog who walks into a room like we’re already friends. Let’s get one thing out of the way. I love food. A lot. Meals, treats, snacks, crumbs. If it’s edible, I’m interested. It makes training easy though. You’ve got snacks, I’ve got focus. I’m a strong boy too. Not out of control, just solid. I need someone who’s comfortable handling a dog with some muscle. I’ll do great with structure, guidance, and regular exercise. My skin looks pretty good now, but I may have had some irritation in the past, maybe fleas or something that needed time to heal. It’s not slowing me down. I just might need someone who keeps an eye on it and stays on top of care. I don’t come with a list of issues. I come with personality. I come with love. I come with a goofy face that makes bad days better. I’m Bruce.Bring the snacks. I’ll bring the fun. ##2650784##

Story
I’m not rude. I’m cautious. There’s a difference. Everybody else comes barreling through life like they’ve never had a bad day. Me? I like to think things through first. I watch. I study people. I make sure you’re safe before I hand over my tiny little boxer-pittie heart. But once you’re in?Oh, I’m IN. Then I’m following you around. Sitting by your feet. Sneaking little kisses when nobody’s looking. Acting like I never doubted you for a second. I’m 4 months old and part of Maggie’s miracle crew. Our mom was rescued pregnant and exhausted, carrying nine puppies and hoping somebody would help her. Lucky for us, somebody did. Now I’m learning how to be a puppy instead of a survival story. I really love the big dogs in my foster home. I think they’re fascinating. I trail after them like a tiny intern trying to learn the ropes. I’m friendly with everybody once I settle in, but I’m not the cannonball puppy of the group. I’ve got a softer, thoughtful side. Good with kids. Good with dogs. Sweet once you earn me. I’m Strawberry.A little guarded.A little sensitive.A really good girl. ##2698001##

Story
You know those quiet kids in school who sat in the back and secretly had the sweetest hearts? That’s me. I’m Honeyberry. Tiny boxer-pittie mix. Four months old. Professional observer of human nonsense. I take longer to warm up than my siblings. New people make me nervous at first. Loud things? Weird things? Fast hands? Yeah, I’d rather not. But if you give me patience instead of pressure, something really nice happens. I start to trust you. Then suddenly I’m leaning into your hand for pets. Following you room to room. Looking at you like maybe the world isn’t such a scary place after all. My mom Maggie got lucky. Somebody saved her before she had all nine of us puppies out in the world alone. So now I’m learning what safety feels like instead of struggling to survive. I’m good with dogs. Good with kids. I just need people who understand that softer souls sometimes bloom slower. And honestly? Those are usually the best dogs. ##2698003##

Story
Hi! My name is Patty! Foster mom has been calling me Patty Cake. I am a 7 year old bully mix. I am a bit chunky, but we are going to work on that. It does not stop me from doing zoomies around the yard! I am a great mix of energetic when you want to go out for a walk and couch potato. I have no issues curling up on the couch to read or watch tv. We are still learning about personal space. I like to climb up on foster mom. I love other dogs. I am so happy to meet new friends. I have been trying to get my foster siblings to play with me. I respect my older foster sister when she tells me I am in her space. I love all people. I was so happy at the adoption event when people stopped to pet me. I may do better in a home with older kids just because I do not realize my size and could knock little ones over. I can get very exuberant. I am crate trained and potty trained. I may whine a little in my crate, but settle down. I have not had any accidents in the house. I love walks, but can be a little strong. Foster mom Is going to try and work on some leash manners. I will walk nicely until I see something I have to go check out. I ride nicely in the car too, so will have no trouble going on adventures with you! Foster mom calls me a bull in a china shop. I am a big lovable goofball. I have no concept of my size. When I went to the pet store I just kept knocking stuff over. I do make my foster mom laugh with my antics. I really want to find a home to settle into. Don’t let the fact that I am 7 scare you off. It just means I am well past the puppy stage. I have lots of love to give my family. If you would like to meet me, please call Annie at 815-685-0746. The adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Pearl is such a special girl. She’s about 3 years old, around 40 pounds, and full of love. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, clingy (in the best way), and just loves being around her people. She’s the type of dog who wants to be by your side all the time, whether you’re going for a walk or just hanging out at home. She’s potty trained, has had training, and is still learning. On walks, she’s doing better and better. She’s no longer chasing animals like before, and this is something we’ve been actively working on. She can still have some puppy moments (a little jumping on us), but she has improved a lot and continues to do so. Pearl is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She does really well with people, but she needs to be the only pet in the home. No other animals at all. She just doesn’t do well with other pets and will be happiest where she can be the only child. She also doesn’t love being alone for long periods, so she would do best with someone who is around more and wants a very loving, loyal companion. We also recommend regular potty breaks (ideally no more than about 4 hours apart), as she had a severe UTI when she was rescued that took months to treat. Keeping her on a consistent schedule helps keep her happy and healthy. One of the most special things about Pearl is her smile. She truly smiles when she sees and walks to us, and it’s something so unique and heart-melting. She has such a big heart and so much love to give. She’s honestly one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever known. If you’re looking for a dog who will love you deeply and be your little shadow, Pearl is that dog. She just needs the right home where she can feel safe, loved, and fully supported.
