Story
Mr. Bean loves everyone and everyone loves Mr. Bean.  He is a 5 year old, male boxer mix who loves walks, belly rubs, treats, and people.  He  was in a foster home with cats at his prior location and was greatly loved by his foster mom but not by the cats, so she reluctantly decided it would be best to try to rehome him.  Walkers report that he doesn't pull a lot on the leash and is medium- energy.  He loves to get pets and to cuddle with everyone he has met!  On walks, he likes to sniff but is not reactive to cars, squirrels, or other dogs.  This good boy certainly deserves a forever home where he can relax, be loved, and give lots of love back.    PAW places animals in the Washington, DC/Baltimore metropolitan area only.          ##2004529##

Story
Stella is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Stella is one of the most low maintenance fosters I've ever had the pleasure of helping find a forever home. From being a shy, scared, and timid girl to being confident, secure, and well-mannered, Stella has grown so much in the 2+ years I've known her; although the vacuum cleaner is still enemy #1. Stella has lived in all types of settings: in a busy city, in an apartment, on a quiet street, with dogs, with reactive dogs, and easily adapted to her home environment. She is crate trained and LOVES having a bed in her crate to curl up into a donut while you're at work. She knows every basic command like sit, down, touch, stay and is fully potty trained. Stella's favorite toy is a lambie, or something else that is tiny that she can carry around in her mouth. Once, she took care of an egg for 6 hours before it broke, she's the most gentle creature. Stella is made of love and French fries. There's nothing more that she wants than to be inside with her people, cuddled up on the couch with a show, or playing sous chef in a calm kitchen. She takes awhile to warm up to her people, but with some french fires (her favorite is Burger King), some space, and a bit of patience, she'll love you unconditionally and will likely knock you over from wagging her tail and wiggling so hard with excitement every time she sees you. Although Stella is a perfect girl in the home, on leash, and with other dogs, she is scared of human strangers, especially masculine presenting people, and will need a strong advocate to help keep her safe. If you're looking for a great addition to your calm and cozy life with unconditional love to give, Stella is the gal for you. Stella would do best living with queer folks, a home without cis-gendered men, without cats, and without small children. ATTRIBUTES: Stella has lived in foster with other dogs, but can not go to a home with kids, cats, or cis-gendered men. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Jordon is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Sweet Jordon came to us from a Southern Virginia shelter. He is so sweet and loves to play. He grew up with three brothers and he does well with dogs! He does use his big paws sometimes ss is learning his size but still a gentle giant (puppy). He has spent time crated for periods of the day, so he is no stranger to a crate or out of home work schedule. Great with dogs and people (and cats with some guidance as usual for a puppy) as per the shelter. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Female, 14 months old, 37lbs Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Mostly with an occasional accident Energy level: Moderate Noise level: Quiet Hey there, potential forever family! I'm Giblet, a spirited pup with a heart full of love and a tail that wags at the speed of light. I might still be a work in progress, but I promise my positive traits make up for it! Let me start by telling you about my favorite things. Toys are my absolute jam, especially if it involves a game of fetch. The thrill of chasing after a ball and bringing it back to you? Count me in! Cuddling is another top-tier activity for me—I love snuggling up with my hoomans after a day of play. Dog parks are like my second home; I thrive on the joy of running around with other doggos, making new pals in the process. I'm a sweet and loving girl. I'm a pro at crate training, and you won't find me tearing up the house when left alone. The city noises don't faze me, and I'm always curious to explore my surroundings. Leash skills are a bit of a challenge for me, but I'm making huge progress every day. I've already mastered multiple basic commands, including sit, place, come, and heel. I'm a smart cookie! As for my schedule, I'm a creature of routine. Morning walks, midday strolls, and evening adventures—it's all in a day's play for me. I'm mostly housetrained, but I might have a tiny accident now and then—nobody's perfect, right? Let's talk about my energy level; I'd say it's moderate. I love being active but can also be your cozy couch potato companion. I'm not a barker; in fact, I'm pretty quiet, and I get along well with other dogs. Cats? I'm not sure, and kids are an unknown territory for me. In terms of compatibility, apartments are totally my scene—no need for a yard here. I'm a good passenger in the car, too; road trips, anyone? In a nutshell, I'm a playful, affectionate, and intelligent gal who's ready to fill your life with joy and tail wags. With a bit more training and a whole lot of love, I'll be the perfect addition to your pack. So, what do you say? Ready to embark on this adventure together? I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I’ve got to give! My foster guardian says: “ Giblet is a sweet and loving girl who always wants to be near her hoomans.” Likes: Toys (fetch), cuddling, dog parks, playing with other dogs Dislikes : Nothing, really! My ideal home: I’m flexible and will adapt to my owners lifestyle! Adoption Application : http://bit.ly/adoptrdr Foster Application :  https://rdr.formstack.com/forms/foster_app My adoption fee includes: Spay/Neuter Surgery (unless I'm too to young!) Story
Female, 2 years old, 68lbs Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Noise level: Some  Hey there, I'm Gabby, the bubbly mixed-breed pup with a hop in my step and a heart of gold! With my soft speckled white and tan fur and soulful yellow/brown eyes, I'm quite the charmer. Despite a shoulder injury in my past, I've mastered a unique hop-like gait that sets me apart from the rest. When it comes to manners, I've got them down pat - no accidents in the house, and I prefer to savor my meals rather than scarf them down. Now, let's talk about my absolute favorite thing: morning walks! There's nothing that gets me more excited than exploring the world outside. Walks don’t have to be limited in time or distance, as far as my foster mom can tell: I have the same energy and enthusiasm as any other dog. I'm a social butterfly, but sometimes I can get a tad too enthusiastic, especially around smaller or senior pups. I prefer smaller playgroups and may get overwhelmed in crowded dog parks. My second favorite thing has to be car rides. I don't care where we're going: I will enthusiastically hope up into the car and sit calmy in the back seat looking out the window, smelling all the smells. Just don't roll the window down all the way or else I might try to hop out! I love going on any and all adventures. I'm the perfect companion to bring anywhere. Despite my injury, I'm quite the active pup! I love playing with toys, and you might catch me zooming around the yard with one in my mouth. I also love a good game of fetch and will always bring the toy/ball back to you. I might even surprise you with how high I can jump! I even recently mastered going up and down a full flight of stairs! When it comes to affection, I'm all in! I absolutely adore cuddles and scratches: but I never beg for them, just gladly accept them. I'll also keep you company while you work from home while I lounge on the couch. Separation anxiety? Well, I might whine a bit when you leave in the crate, but with a distraction like a tasty treat and some background noise, I'll be just fine and quiet down quickly. Oh, and there's one thing I'm not too fond of: bikes. They make me bark and lunge, but cars and trucks? No problem at all! I could use some training on basic commands like "sit" and "down" and also some leash work. I am overly interested in squirrels and other small animals, and my gate makes it harder for me to regulate my speed so as a result, I pull a little bit, but with some time and training I can be a leash walking pro! So, if you're looking for a well-mannered, affectionate companion who's always up for an adventure, look no further than yours truly, Gabby. I can't wait to hop into your heart and home! My foster guardian says: Gabby is the absolute sweetest pup and is the perfect mix of active outside but calm and affectionate inside. Despite the injury, her bunny-like gate makes her the star of the show on walks and at the dog park: people think it’s absolutely adorable and I’d have to agree. If you’re looking for a sweet little mix breed, look no further than Gabby! Likes: Toys, bones, scratches, sunbathing, morning walks, lounging on the couch Dislikes : Bikes, lots of dogs at once My ideal home: I am pretty flexible and would be happy in a variety of homes!
