Lily is the sweetest girl! She loves, loves toys! Enjoys a good game of fetch and shredding stuffed toys! She’s an excellent snuggler and a very clean lady. She keeps her kennel extremely tidy. She is crate and house trained. She can be very shy in the beginning but food wins her heart! Good with some other dogs. Cats unknown.

Story
Meet Harrah! Harrah is playful and gentle. When on a leash for a walk she doesn't pull and is obedient to the handler. While in the office, where we keep some cats in kennels, she shy's away from them and shows no aggression. She almost seems afraid of cats. Come and meet this loving playful dog and I think you will fall in love with her.

Story
Hubbell is a wonderful dog. He's 6.5 and about as chill as can be. I had him for about 2 days before my landlord informed me she is selling our house, and we have had to make the unfortunate decision to re-home him. I didn't want him back at the shelter so we still have him, but we are also still getting to know him! Hubbell loves everyone he meets. He really just wants to snuggle. He's gentle taking treats and has been good around small children so far. He does okay on a leash, and would improve with a little training. Currently, his walks are short as he is being treated for heartworm. He has about 3 months left of his monthly treatment, and I have meds to send with him. He also does well in his kennel and I have a kennel, a bed, a leash and harness to donate, as well as any food or treats I have left. We haven't tested him with other dogs. The shelter said he was shy in play groups, and on walks he seems to want to play. Unsure of cats.

Mabel is a 35‑lb, 7‑year‑old gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She’s calm and easy to have in the house, happy to curl up beside you and soak up all the love you’re willing to give.   She’s been very brave settling into her foster home. She was nervous about indoor stairs at first, but with patience and encouragement she now manages them on her own. Because she favors her back right leg, she’d do best in a home with minimal stairs and a family who enjoys short, easy walks. She loves these walks and is learning not to pull on the leash.    Mabel can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and shows her soft, affectionate nature. She takes treats incredibly gently, and her foster describes her as “just wanting to be with her person and feel loved.”   If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion who will quietly adore you, Mabel is your girl.   Approximate Birthdate:  May 2019 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Story
Meet Fletch! This brindle cutie is a master of the happy butt-wiggle. Fletch is playful, goofy, and smart, but also knows the art of cuddling. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and does great on a leash—walks are his jam! Fletch loves people and will be happiest as your one-and-only pup, though he might do fine with a calm doggy friend. He’s an affectionate, mostly quiet guy who’s just as happy chasing toys as he is snuggling on the couch. A fenced yard and daily exercise will keep him at his best. Fletch has had some tough times, but he’s grateful for every good thing—and he’s ready for his forever people to come along. 📍 Kansas City metro (transport available!) 📞 Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387

Story
Hi! My name’s Houston. I'm a four-year-old boxer mix boy and kind of a beefcake at around 80 pounds. (I'd argue that it's all muscle, too.) One of the things I want most in a forever home is a human friend to hang out with, not doing anything in particular, just a couple pals spending time together. Wouldn't that be amazing? I'm a little shy at first, but if you'll give me a few minutes to get to know you, we'll be besties. And I promise to be your snuggle pup! Really, though, I’m way too smart to laze around 24/7. I know sit, down, stay, high five, orbit, between, and wait. Learning tricks is one of my favorite activities and I can pick up new ones in just a day or two. I love to run outside and play in water from the hose. In case I wasn't clear enough on that, I LOVE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!. My favorite game of all is tug of war. (I'll even let you win sometimes!) I’m kennel trained, house trained, and am good at being left alone. In fact, I do some of my best snoozing in my crate while I wait patiently for you to come home. I’d do best in a home with older children because I’m still learning how to contain all my excitement around the little ones. Since I've been looking for a home for a while, I think I'd prefer to be the only doggo so I don't have to share. I’ve got so much love to share and I absolutely cannot wait to meet you! You'll get to see my cute little nub of a tail wag and wag when I'm happy and that will make YOU happy, too! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 to find out more about me! I'm in the Kansas City metro, but my human friends will transport me to the right home. #thepetconnection #BoxerMix #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #DogsofKC #SmartPup #PlayfulPup #ForeverHomeNeeded #KCAdopt #DogLovers #pawsitivetailskc
