Story
Meet Briggs. This 70-pound hunk of love is estimated at a little over a year old. Our best guess for his breed is Plott Hound/Boxer mix and he definitely has mastered the boxer "puppy-dog-eyes. Briggs adores other dogs and enjoys kids, but has not been around small versions of either so may not know his own size. He has no known history with cats. While he doesn't seem to know specific commands yet, he is responsive to instruction and has very good manners. We feel that he will catch on well to the routines and expectations in his forever home. This big boy has a lot of love to give and is very much looking forward to finding his forever family.

Story
(DOB 09/22/2021) This girl loves snuggles more than any other dog her foster mom has met, and will find a way to touch you if it’s possible! Mary Jane says, “If I fits, I sits!” If you are looking for a 40 lb lapdog that is dog friendly and ohhh so cuddly, this young gal may be paw-fect for you. Mary Jane is a petite gal with a lot of love to give!! Mary Jane is fostered with multiple other dogs. She needs a quiet, single family home with a confident fur friend to help her navigate the world. A home with fenced in yard and another dog to play with is what Mary Jane is looking for!! She LOVES to go on sniffaris in quiet places and to play tug-o-war with her human or dog friends.  No kitties please just not her jam. In order for Mary Jane to continue making progress with her training, she needs a family/owner that will continue taking her out and continue to build her confidence in her new world. Mary Jane is fostered by her trainer. Her trainer is offering 3 free training sessions to her adoptive family so her family can continue her positive training at home. She is a boxer mix, and 100% adorable. Mary Jane says she ready to meet her awesome fur-ever family and whoever adopts her, won't ever regret it! As part of Mary Jane's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Mary Jane, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org ##1448773##

Story
Hi, it's me Beans. I wanted to tell you about me thru the eyes of my foster mom. Beans is a great, super sweet, well behaved dog. He is housetrained, crate trained ( sleeps well in crate at night). He knows sit, is very treat motivated (but watch those fingers he really likes food). He likes to cuddle and be with his people. He also walks well on leash. He gets along with my older female dog ( but very slow introductions with any dogs is a must to have him adjust well, him or any new dog). We do not know how he is with cats or children at this time. He is an inside dog and should not be crated all day. He is a youngster and needs lots of exercise. An ideal home would be with a stay at home person. Rides very nicely in the car. He has been neutered, up to dates on all vaccines and microchipped. He is heartworm positive but please don't let heartworms deter you from taking him home, they are completely treatable and non contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center is generously providing a $400 sponsorship toward treatment. If you have any more questions about me you can email my foster mom at dogfosterkim@gmail.com Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 61.5 Age: 2yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Max is two years old. I have to re-home him and his sister due to them getting neglected after I moved, my grandma can’t take care of them alone and my family failed to help her. They need a loving home that can give them the care, love & attention they deserve! They can go separately. Max is a very sweet boy, he loves cuddles & squeaky toys.
