If interested in knowing more about GRACIE and want a faster response, please contact her foster, Susan, directly via email: susancox492@gmail.com Gracie was fed by the staff at Carson City Hall for 3 months before we decided it was time she needed a warm home. She required no trapping - was easy to pick up and carry home. Gracie is 10 months old and a hefty 11 pounds of love. This cat doesn't know the meaning of the word "stranger", every person that comes by her is greeted by a head butt and purrs. She is a true lap cat and wants nothing more than to be picked up or lay by you getting chin scratches. She's calm, quiet, and low maintenance. She is litterbox trained. We got her spayed, microchipped (can give you the paperwork to set it to your address), vaccinated, healthy, and more than ready to find her family. Adoption fee is negotiable - we are doing a thorough vetting of interested new owners for her and want to ensure she ends up in the right hands. Additional Personality Traits: Gracie is extremely social (rubs up against strangers). Likes being held, cuddly, calm, curious, purr-factory, enjoys pets and very affectionate.

Meet Callie! Callie was born in January of 2024. She is a calico kitten with a harlequin pattern. She was left in a dog crate at a local park with her mom, two siblings and another cat who we believe may be her auntie. Soon after being rescued Callie and her siblings developed an upper respiratory infection that was treated. While they were sick a respiratory panel was done, and the results indicated they had FHV-1 (feline herpes virus). This is very common in kittens with weak immune systems. She and her siblings received anti-viral meds and their symptoms went away. As she grows older, her immune system will get stronger. Callie is currently symptom free. Her symptoms of sneezing and/or watery eyes may flare up again and maybe never but having immune supplements, good quality food and a stress-free environment will help her greatly. We are hopeful that this will not keep her from finding her furever family and home. Callie is a little lady. She is petite like her mother Peaches and has the softest fur ever felt. She is playful with her brothers but when she has enough, she goes her own way. You can find her in their cat tree gazing out the window looking at the birdies. Callie is curious about the dog in her foster home, and we feel that with proper introduction she would do well with a small cat friendly dog. Callie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, combo tested negative, rabies and microchipped. If you would like to know more about CALLIE, please contact her foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. Meet Lady Liberty! Lady Liberty is a beautiful sweet young lady who is 18 months old. She is currently nursing a litter of kittens who were born on the 4th of July (a bunch of little firecrackers!). She is such a loving Mom to her babies and loves to sit on your lap for pets and snuggles. Once her babies are weaned, Lady will be spayed, vetted and ready for a forever home. She will be ready in September. She was rescued from a family who allowed her to have three litters and found themselves overwhelmed with too many cats. It would be nice if one of her kittens could be adopted with her! Lady Liberty loves deep scratches. She is a loving nurturer and is a sucker for treats!!! I was not used to being around people and I still don’t allow people to approach me but I don’t hide as much as I used to and no longer run for my life when someone enters my room at SBACC. I enjoy the company of other cats and am comfortable here. I wouldn’t mind living out my years where I’m loved and cared for by a wonderful team of volunteers and staff.
